Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreHi Very disappointed last night as I am visit quite regularly. Booked a meal for my daughter’s birthday and did state this on the booking, when we arrived no table was reserved and when they questioned me I showed me email confirmation and they said it was and IT issue We where put on a half round table which had no space Are food came before our drinks which took 20 minutes to receive We then waited a further 30 minutes for the main course to come At the end of the meal they took two plates away and after 10 minutes I had to ask for the other one to be removed. The whole experience is not what I am use to Many thanks Simon
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreVisited before a concert at the M&S arena seated promptly and order taken me as l was excellent only down side although the restaurant was fairly empty at 5 pm the waiter insisted on taking our plates from us although we obviously haven’t finished leaving us we our pots of fries never known anything like it in all the restaurants I’ve ever eaten in not sure on what training they’re doing at what’s cooking but they seriously need to have a long look at it
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreWhat a delightful little find, this is the perfect menu for me, little on the pricey side and food could have been a little warmer. But lovely fresh and healthy ingredients, we will definitely be back, thanks!
Manuka – Liverpool City CentreGood food, great atmosphere.
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreFirst visit. Glad I’d booked a table as was very busy at 5.30. Great atmosphere everyone very friendly amazing staff did their best to please everybody thanks to all of them. Had Scouse which was brilliant but everyone’s food looked good so will be back to try something else. Prices are very reasonable
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreCame for my birthday with my family and everything was great. The staff even brought out a cake with candles that my mum and dad brought.
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreThe initial service before eating was good, the young lad took us to our table and we were served quickly and the same gent serving was really polite. We didn’t get checked on during our meal and the environment is really, really loud with music, so if you want to have a conversation with who you are dining with, be prepared to shout! Second visit here and would definitely come back, the food on both occasions was great.
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreInitially the reception was quite poor off the lady who was on to the left of the main door, she actually walked away from me mid sentence! Thankfully she handed us over to a much more pleasant gent who looked after us well and had a much more upbeat way about him.
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreHad the most amazing meal yesterday Saturday 28th October) This is the second time I’ve had the Scouse dish and it never disappoints. It’s always piping hot and fresh, the bread is beautiful and the garnishes are perfect! It’s always served with a smile and great conversation. We were going to a concert afterwards and coming here here first for great food, great vibes definitely made the night just perfect.
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreWhat can I say, service was slow young lad took our order didn't write it down. Ordered garlic bread for starters, after what seemed a lifetime our main courses started to arrive before we even had the starter, i asked where the starter was, it was oh let me check your order, no apology just gave us the garlic bread the same time has the mains, the children's fishfingers and chips for the price you charge i would expect better quality, such thin little things they were. I ordered the brie burger which was meant to have a big slice of brie on it. i struggled to find it amongst the cold greasy bacon, i returned the burger and the fries as i upgraded the fries to the piggy ones which they hadn't done. They then bought the fries back with no burger i asked where the burger was and they oh sorry and put my fries under the light to go cold, when the burger eventually came back it was the worst burger i have ever tasted, i have had better ones at the wetherspoons! i just ate the bacon and cheese. My daughter had the steak fajatias, the steak was tough and grizzly. Ok so were given a little discount for the poor quality of service but thinking back the meal was not worth the money we paid. I would not recommend this place at all.
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentrePerfect all around. Great staff and service, wonderful vibe and atmosphere, food is always lovely and so fast. Going there is our perfect pre-theatre tradition!

Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreWe traveled to Liverpool for the day to see the River of Light, there was no other place we would choose to eat. What’s cooking has amazing food- the spicy chicken papousa is my all time favourite mela and it certainly didn’t disappoint this time. The building is beautiful, the food amazing and there’s nowhere else I would choose to eat whilst visiting. I wish I lived local so I could visit more often.
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreCannot fault anything. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and fabulous service. Warm Chicken salad and garlic bread with cheese was delicious
