R Bar & Brasserie at The Richmond – Liverpool City CentreWe ate here for lunch on 15th October with the Groupon deal , 3 course meal with bottle of wine for 2. We should have been there for dinner the night before and arrived at the booked time but unfortunately my husband took ill just as we arrived . Beth in the restaurant was lovely rearranging the reservation for the day after giving him time to recover which fortunately he did. The menu choice at the lunch was limited but we were happy with what was available and enjoyed the food. The house red was a Pinot Noir and very good. Service was friendly from the staff, sorry did not get the names , and they did check everything was okay with the meal. Our only comment to each other was they were a bit skimpy on the ice cream with the sticky toffee pudding as it did not have much sticky toffee sauce . All in all we enjoyed the food, the chatter with the staff, the setting though it was quiet as only two other couples dining. My mum would have enjoyed it for the starched real cloth napkins alone !
R Bar & Brasserie at The Richmond – Liverpool City CentreOne of our favourite places in Liverpool!
Viva Brazil – Liverpool City Centrewhat an amazing space!
Isla Gladstone Conservatory – Liverpool City CentreNice food and atmosphere but some of the workers were rather dismissive and ‘laid back’
Love Thy Neighbour – Liverpool City CentreFood was ok but different to the menu that was advertised on groupon so not much choice. Service was not good took ages and when food came wAiter dropped the plate on table and food fell off the plate and he just walked away. Not sure I would go again.
R Bar & Brasserie at The Richmond – Liverpool City CentreVisited the dough bar on a Saturday evening for food and a few beers after the theatre. The service was fab, really friendly, chatty staff...excellent customer service. The beers were very nice and served in groovy glasses and the food was yummy. Will definitely be visiting again soon.
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentreVery helpful and friendly staff, good selection of food and good quality. We visited on a Saturday afternoon prior to going to Empire theatre and chose the Dough Bar as it is an ideal location for the theatre. We are in our seventies and although it was a bit noisy for us we were made welcome and felt comfortable while we were there. Will certainly go again when we visit the city.
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentreVisited with three others, for shared birthday treat. Cakes and scones were delicious, proscecco nice and chilled. Couple of things spoilt it a little. First I’d bought via groupon, booked and had email from The Richmond confirming. I had informed them 2 out 4 didn’t eat meat, which the email confirmed. When I arrived I was asked for the voucher code ( even though I had booked and given this information) I felt embarrassed particularly when Groupon decided to not work. The waitress though polite did come over a couple of times for this. When the brought the plentiful and fab looking food, there was coronation chicken and ham sandwich’s (and egg) we reminded them 2 people didn’t eat meat. They apologised and brought a couple of sandwiches with lettuce, tomato and hummus. It looked thrown together and wasn’t very appetising. Over all yes, cakes and scones were tasty, well presented but I felt like a second class citizen being asked for groupon code after I had already booked with it and them ‘forgetting’ two none meat eaters...
R Bar & Brasserie at The Richmond – Liverpool City CentreFabulous as ever. Only downside was the mens toilets badly need an upgrade, they smell so bad!
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreWe had the Pizza with Bread n Dips together with cheesy dough balls! Service was great and the food was excellent! very generous portions.. I would definitely recommend.
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreGreat food, drinks, staff and atmosphere! Best cheesecake ever! Wish we lived closer!
Clockworks – Liverpool City CentreWhat a gem of a place Lovely food Great cocktails Great price Great atmosphere
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentreSuperb food, brilliant service and a lively atmosphere. What else would you want for a great night out.
Clockworks – Liverpool City CentreOverall we were dissappointed. We were a table of four in two groups of two. Greeting was nice and the atmosphere was great as it was match day. We ordered separately but in very quick succession, the first 2 meals came (missing a side) and we had to wait 25 minutes for the next 2 meals. In the meantime 2 other tables received their meals. In addion, the last of the 4 meals was missing two items and the side from the first order came 30 mins after its accompanying main. Service was incredibly average considering we had to wait so long, very little apology and obviously unable to offer any discounts as you pay up front. Won't be visiting again unfortunately.
Love Thy Neighbour – Liverpool City CentreGreat night at the Clockworks. Excellent food, excellent service great atmosphere. Will be back.
Clockworks – Liverpool City CentreThis restaurant was recommended to us and did not disappoint. It has a nice atmosphere and the food was excellent. I started with sweet potato fishcakes and my husband had chicken wings with hot sauce. The fishcakes were very light and full of flavour and the chicken tasted lovely. My main was crispy seabream on a salad of warm new potatoes and my husband had the lamb and feta burger. We were both pleased with our mains, they came promptly and were both beautifully cooked. Service was good and we had a great evening. There was even live music which we enjoyed. Will definitely return.
Clockworks – Liverpool City CentreMy husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and breakfast in the Brasserie . The meals were cooked to perfection and presented well. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. We will definitely stay for more than one night next time we visit Liverpool.
