Nice food and atmosphere but some of the workers were rather dismissive and ‘laid back’

Love Thy Neighbour – Liverpool City CentreFood was ok but different to the menu that was advertised on groupon so not much choice. Service was not good took ages and when food came wAiter dropped the plate on table and food fell off the plate and he just walked away. Not sure I would go again.
R Bar & Brasserie at The Richmond – Liverpool City CentreVisited the dough bar on a Saturday evening for food and a few beers after the theatre. The service was fab, really friendly, chatty staff...excellent customer service. The beers were very nice and served in groovy glasses and the food was yummy. Will definitely be visiting again soon.
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentreThis was our second visit and did not disappoint, Went on Saturday night for double birthday celebrations, food and service was outstanding, the flavours from a simple starter of goats cheese and beetroot were indescribable, hats off to the chefs for all the food was perfection, drinks were delicious. Pianist and singer were really good, created a lovely atmosphere.
The Dean – St.HelensOur meal was lovely, staff was nice and ready to help when needed can highly recommend.
Sing Faye Chinese Restaurant – St.HelensNice meal. Efficient service and friendly staff. Will visit again.
Sing Faye Chinese Restaurant – St.HelensVery helpful and friendly staff, good selection of food and good quality. We visited on a Saturday afternoon prior to going to Empire theatre and chose the Dough Bar as it is an ideal location for the theatre. We are in our seventies and although it was a bit noisy for us we were made welcome and felt comfortable while we were there. Will certainly go again when we visit the city.
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentreNice restaurant. We went for the first time on a Thursday which is possibly the quietest night. Only 3 couples in there but there was a chap on the piano which was pleasant. Here’s to the most important bit, the food. Very good, faultless in fact. I had scallops followed by belly pork. My wife had goats cheese followed by fillet steak. All presented very well and very tasty, nothing less than what you’d expect in a high end city restaurant. Staff were very good too, humorous, informative and attentive. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back, will try on a friday or Saturday next time. Probably the nearest thing you’ll get to fine dining in St. Helens so long may it continue. A credit to the owners and all the staff.
The Dean – St.HelensVisited with three others, for shared birthday treat. Cakes and scones were delicious, proscecco nice and chilled. Couple of things spoilt it a little. First I’d bought via groupon, booked and had email from The Richmond confirming. I had informed them 2 out 4 didn’t eat meat, which the email confirmed. When I arrived I was asked for the voucher code ( even though I had booked and given this information) I felt embarrassed particularly when Groupon decided to not work. The waitress though polite did come over a couple of times for this. When the brought the plentiful and fab looking food, there was coronation chicken and ham sandwich’s (and egg) we reminded them 2 people didn’t eat meat. They apologised and brought a couple of sandwiches with lettuce, tomato and hummus. It looked thrown together and wasn’t very appetising. Over all yes, cakes and scones were tasty, well presented but I felt like a second class citizen being asked for groupon code after I had already booked with it and them ‘forgetting’ two none meat eaters...
R Bar & Brasserie at The Richmond – Liverpool City CentreService was fine. Meat was too salty (reading reviews this is not the first review to say this). Meat was brought to your table too quick. Salad/side bar was basic. Some of the meat was overcooked. Having eaten in previous Brazilian meat restaurants in Liverpool I would not return back to this one.
Brunos Rodizio – St. HelensFabulous as ever. Only downside was the mens toilets badly need an upgrade, they smell so bad!
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreFood and service was fabulous. We had the i banquet for four and it was delicious. Staff friendly polite and helpful. Restaurant clean and toilet facilities clean and fresh. Drinks good for price and speedy service. Excellent value for money x
Ying Wah Restaurant – WooltonSuperb food, lovely service. Banquet B is a challenge and we ended up taking what we didn't eat in a doggy bag as there was just loads too eat. Loved it and we keep coming back to celebrate various milestones.
Sing Faye Chinese Restaurant – St.HelensWe had the Pizza with Bread n Dips together with cheesy dough balls! Service was great and the food was excellent! very generous portions.. I would definitely recommend.
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreGreat food, drinks, staff and atmosphere! Best cheesecake ever! Wish we lived closer!
Clockworks – Liverpool City CentreAbsolutely outstanding night from start to finish food was amazing cocktails went down far too well and the service and staff where excellent. Can’t wait to go back
The Dean – St.HelensGreat food, good atmosphere, good service, definitely good value for money, one of the best Sunday dinners I’ve had in a long time, I would highly recommend this place, didn’t feel like we where in at Helens. The decor was lovely and the piano player was so relaxing,
