Ambuja Indian Brasserie – HeswallI´ve ordered twice from Abmuja now and each time it has been amazing !! The food is lovely - probably one of the best indians i´ve had !! The service has been amazing - very polite staff/delivery and always on time !! They even came all the way to Upton to deliver ! Highly recommend !!
Ambuja Indian Brasserie – HeswallExcellent food, quality of presentation and reliable service.Their specials are very original and I loved the Murghi Musaka, chicken and aubergine - absolutely delicious! Best Indian on the Wirral. Try it you wont be disappointed
Ambuja Indian Brasserie – HeswallWe were not happy with our food. The Whitebait was greasy and not crispy, the Greek salad was minus a dressing and quite frankly, it was not authentic. My friend had fish and chips and there was a long stringy bit in the fish which resembled a tape worm, this just put us off the food altogether. The waitress was lovely and very pleasant, as was the young man who checked on us...however, we won't be rushing back anytime soon.
Astoria – West Kirby1st Class menu -1st Class service and 1st Class food, well presented, served with a smile and thoroughly enjoyed
Kasturi Indian Cuisine – SouthportDined two weeks running & the food was the same good standard, portion size lacking for the set menu though. Service excellent the first week & terrible the next by different staff, wanted to see the view from the conservatory & raising the blinds it seems was asking too much, 'everything ok with your meal?' asked with head turned in the opposite direction to us! I could continue but don't have enough room..
Marsh Cat Restaurant – HeswallFirstly, May I point out how fantastic, friendly and warm the service was! It was simply unbeatable. You could hold a conversation as if you've knew them for ages and are having a general catch up as it were. Now, onto the food. Delicious. No, heavenly. For starters I had the minestrone soup which was freshly prepared for me, then for the Main I had the Chilli con carne, my brother had the barbecued pork if I remember correctly which he wolfed down (considering he's a fussy eater this was a great result!) and my grandma had the vegetarian option. The chilli con carne was slightly piquant, but delectable all the same. Also, don't forget that the food cooked here is ALL home-made. Twinned with the ambient surroundings (and the service!), you have the most fantastic dining experience. There's no long wait as you'd find in Pizza Express, and the food is piping hot without fail. They have a desert trolley with all home made cakes made by the chef, if I had my way I would have had them all. No over exaggeration. I ended up going for the lemon meringue like my brother whilst my grandma settled for the apple crumble. We all enjoyed the deserts thoroughly. Taking into account the quality of the food, service and surroundings you'd be expecting a hefty bill when you go to pay. Do not fear, I was pleasantly surprised when the waitress told us how much it was. Absolutely outstanding, it really is. So, if your looking for a pleasant restaurant, that is ideally situated in Southport with top-notch, fresh home-made food and don't want to splash the cash then the Little Gourmet is perfect for you. Go on, give it a try. I promise you won't regret it. (Next time I'm up North that's my 1st stop.)
Little Gourmet – SouthportUndoubtedly one of the best restaurants in the North West and for sure the BEST in Formby !! Great atmosphere, superb cuisine and Luciano and the team give 110% to the detail and service - would recommend it to anyone - in sospeso - Grazie !!
Sorrento – FormbyMy boyfriend and I have been visiting Asiana for a while now and we absolutely love it! The service is great - they don't pester you like in some restaurants, i cant stand it when they are constantly hovering over you while your trying to eat. the prices are reasonable, and the food is very very yummy!! they had a dining voucher on kgb deals £10 for a £25 voucher - I've bought mine and will treat the husband to be wo a delicious curry!
Asiana – West DerbyI would Not call it a recommendation but more to the Contrary. My Wife & I have not been there for years & that was when it was called the ''Natterjack''. It is My Birthday this weekend & My Wife thought She would surprise me & go to the Toby Carvery as some of her work mates had recommended it to her. We both went there this evening Friday April 15th 2011. May I say that We were both shocked by the Food on offer. Turkey / Beef / Honey Mustard Gammon, all sounds great but if it is poorly cooked or dried out as this was then it is Not to appetising. The Vege was all dried out including the Peas which looked like they had been shrunk & were wrinkled. The Mashed potato was like Crispy Polycell. To put it mildly it was a disgrace. The carvery meat was badly presented in as much as the Beef was only the size of A Fist as was the Honey Mustard Gammon & yet it was still being carved up. The Turkey on the other hand was about 12inch high. My Wife & I do go to the Bay Horse in Formby & have never had a bad meal there. We most certainly will Not be back to the Ainsdale Toby. Thought you should know. We could Not Fault the Service or the Staff but the Food Yaaagh !!!
Toby Carvery – SouthportWe went to Othellos restaurant after reading the reviews on this website and we were not disappointed. The staff went out of their way to help and were really friendly. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. Overall a very enjoyable evening.
Othellos – WooltonWe would like to offer our deepest thanks to both Jimmy and Mandy who own this restaurant. The food is 101% The staff the the same But our thanks go to both Jimmy and Mandy, who simply just treat you like one of there own. They are most helpful, and there service is excellent, the best Chinese food in the business, it has to be worth a try !!
Chung Lok Chinese Restaurant – BootleAfter reading some of the negative reviews I was a little worried about out booking but the food was amazing and staff really friendly. Prompt service but didn't feel rushed, looking forward to going back!
Chaophraya – Liverpool City CentreI did quite like this restaurant, but found the male host very invasive of my privacy.
Very disappointing menu, food and service Poor presentation and quality of food Such a shame as it could make a FORTUNE in that location. Message for head “” chef”” Creativity. The creativity of a person is already a part of him when he is born. However, if this quality is not developed in a person, this will not have positive results. Head chefs need to be creative above anything else. This may sound harsh but practically anybody could work out a meal with a recipe. However, the taste and presentation of such a meal will depend on the creativity of a person. Thus, for meals and recipes to be as delectable as these can be, creativity is essential. Thanks,
Esteban Mediterranean Tapas – AigburthTasteless. We were unbelievably told to leave this restaurant tonight because we complained that the food was tasteless. Garlic prawns with no garlic. Avocado Prawn with two prawns. Spicy Mexicana pizza with no spices. Watery Lasagne with no flavour. One rude english waiter. One english Chef. We waited over an hour for our main. We complained very soon after our main course arrived when the waiter asked how our food was The waiter suddenly turned agressive, snatched our food off the tables and told us to leave. The other two couples eating in this restaurant also appeared frustrated with the food and service. If you're looking for an Italian restaurant on the Wirral - don't go here.
first time visit last night and had tapas menu which is great as it gives you a chance to try dishes that you might not always try and very reasonably priced all staff were really nice especially the guy doing front of house who spent a lot of time chatting to me and my mum and you can also take your own alcohol which brings the price of dining out down which is really good. we will definitely be back again.
Tiffin – ChildwallWent to Jalons for my birthday on Saturday 26th March 2011. It was BRILLIANT! I haven't eaten anywhere which has made me stand up and take notice for a very long time, but Jalons did just that! The food was FAB - all four starters (I couldn't resist trying a bit of everything) were delicious and then the steak was to die for. That with the amazing chips and lovely wine would have been enough, but then there was the ambient atmosphere provided by the pianist (who even took requests from my sozzled, over-sentimental husband) and a reasonable price to boot! A fab night out, Jalons has shot to the top of my dining out pop parade!
