This pub is poorly managed due to wetherspoons' policy of many duty managers. The service on the whole is below average due to lack of staff numbers. The tables are often uncleared of glasses and plates/condiments and the glass washing area is often overflowing with glasses waiting to be washed. The staff turn a blind eye to unsupervised children, even when on one occasion a child was screaming for 40 minutes and cleared the rear dining area of customers. It is a pub that needs a refurbish, better trained staff and management. It won't happen of course if the bean counters at Wetherspoons are happy!

I met three retired workmates there last Monday ,we all ordered different meals ,one being vegetarian. We thought each meal was really enjoyable and we arranged to go again for our next meeting in Feb . I am meeting my son and his partner there tomorrow for a meal so I will see if it is as good as last time.

Great meal the Hope Street Hotel tonight. Their restaurant the London Carriage Works is top notch!

Best Chinese takeaway in Prescot. Chicken vermicelli is amazing. Never had a bad meal from here.

It is really good and I loved the food. I want to get buried in lot and lots of chips and nuggets.

The place to be in Crosby. I popped in for lunch and enjoyed an excellent duck wrap with a crunchy salad. Love the art deco building and spacious bright interior. Service was good and the owners and lovely genuine people. Highly recommended.

I've been coming to your restaurant for many years and not had any problems until today! I came in Sunday 3.1.16 and sat down to enjoy the dim sum that gets offered at the table, one of your staff presented a dish and asked if we would like it? My wife asked what it was and was told "pork" and so we had it. upon payment we were told this was suckling pig, (if we had been told it was suckling pig we would have know it would be expensive and not to our tastes and would have refused) we come most Sundays for DIM SUM Sunday and feel sickened and annoyed to be offered a dish on DIM SUM Sunday not considered to be DIM SUM! and at a price of £14 plus a dish!! and to have not been told exactly what it was!Look forward to your response. I've got to say that the food was terrible here. Wouldn't recommend to anybody. The staff are far too busy chatting instead of serving. Very greasy food.

Lovely place, really friendly waiting staff and great food. My only gripe is that the white wine was warm when served. Limited dessert menu, no cheeseboard.

Afternoon Tea with Bubbles a birthday treat. The sandwiches were plentiful as we asked for more. The scones were delightful tasted far better than they looked. The rest of the cakes were a morsel each and not one of everything for each diner. The teas were of good variety but bizarrely the darjeeling was served already strained of leaves. A pleasant afternoon in pleasant surroundings with good company. The service however was poor. The staff inattentive slow and forgetful in spite of there being relatively few diners and plenty of hands on deck. For a restaurant I was excited to try I left feeling that the place had been disinterested totally in our customer experience made me feel rather saddened

PROS:Great atmosphere and staff, I liked the thin base pizzas and good selection of drinks. Kids get to make their own pizzas which they loved doing.CONS: Disappointed with over a 2 hour wait for food on a Wednesday night just to get overcooked dry chicken, raw blood oozing lamb that was requested to be medium to well done, under cooked mince and cold meatballs in hot spaghetti.

Incredible food, large portions and great price. We always order Chinese food from here. No other place has even came close!

I love The Retreat! Relaxing and inviting, the service and quality of the food are great. Very reasonably priced and good sized portions- Elaine cooks everything from fresh. Try the Sunday lunch - great value and lovely tender home roasted beef .

Eight of us visited Othellos tonight to celebrate a birthday party. The restaurant was warm and had a great atmosphere. We all commented on how good the food was. The service was great. Maria couldn't do enough for us. We said how much we had enjoyed it and thanked the staff for their attention and service. We had a really great evening, and will definitely being back there again.

I have been to and had many takeaway from the New Orchard Garden. Last night I don't know what happened but when we got our meal home it was one of the worst Chinese meals we have ever had, what made it worse we had visitors, trying to make excuses after praising the restaurant .
