Ella Grill – BirkenheadMei Mei is defo one of the best Chinese restaurants in lpool.....
Mei Mei – Liverpool City CentreMalmaison dishes up fine dining excellently disguised as your old favourites. The service staff are also very customer friendly, which is a nice change. For quality, value and location. very hard to go past.
Malmaison Brasserie – Liverpool City CentreWe visited Gusto on Sunday evening for the 50% discount in the January sale. You need to book online for this offer. We also wanted to see what the live music was like and have to say me and my girlfriend were very impressed with the overall atmosphere, food and service. The music is a really nice touch and doesn't impose on your evening whatsoever. We definitely recommend that you give Sunday nights a try we certainly will be returning!
Gusto – Liverpool City Centrewent there last night 19/01/11 for my birthday & thought it was amazing, food & service was brilliant, would definitely recommend, thanks for a lovely night !!!!!!!!!
Mayur – Liverpool City Centreby far the best pizza restaurant in mersyside real traditional woodburner pizza oven,xx
Pietra Bar and Restaurant – Waterloolovely meal, lovely service, best Chinese in Liverpool, FACT.
Mei Mei – Liverpool City CentreSomething which is not clear on here is that this place has just re-opened with Aiden Byrne at the helm - we ate here last night and have to say that whilst the food is sensational - so are the prices! There is a fixed menu at £35 per head but there is a much cheaper lounge menu which they don't offer you unless you ask! Also, even though the prices are high, they are still charging extra for side dishes and supplements for the pricier dishes - £5 extra per head for one of the dishes! Prices aside (because after all it is still a pub after all..!) - the food is sensational. Our party went for the wing rib of beef for two (£28 per head) which was possibly the best piece of beef either of them had ever eaten - amazing was the only way to describe it! So, aside from the prices (& the wine also has a very hefty price tag) - the food is superb and the setting is lovely so I would recommend it but won't be going back unless it is for a very special occasion!
Hilltop – West KirbyMediocre food, dreadful attitude. Best avoided. Alex the duty manager really needs to get some training.
Damons – Mossley HillFantastic restaurant for large bookings. A hungry group of us visited recently for breakfast and were absolutely delighted with the great service and outstanding food. The homemade hash browns are worth a visit alone!
The Clove Hitch Bistro and Bar – Liverpool City Centrebeen before with the girls for my birthday was disappointed in size of meal going to try it again and see whether they have made any improvements over the year
The Fat Italian – Crosbybeen first time on the monro in duke street and we loved it!! having lunch infront of the fireplace was awesome o/ We can't wait to go back, which will be very soon xxx
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreWent to this restaurant with my wife on Saturday night - the food was really good, starters were oil/balsamic and bread, ribs and antipasto misto, mains were fillet steak and king prawn (surf and turf) and a bouillabaisse. The food couldn't have been better - excellent flavours and fresh. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The bill was reasonable and I felt that the venue was a good choice - I would definitely return. I suppose its the quality of the food that makes or breaks any restaurant - and this place was 'made' by the food I ordered. I would recommend this to all!!
Prego Restaurant – AintreeJust got back from a meal at Pietra, its AMAZING, I shall be dreaming of a meal like this when I go back to uni. Caesar sales BOSS, pasta Katerina BRILL, desserts TO DIE FOR, Pietra, we love you xxxxxxx
Pietra Bar and Restaurant – WaterlooAte at the grapes yesterday afternoon and have to say the food was awful! the starters we ordered were cold and there were hardly any main dishes available. Spoke to one of the managers and he was rude and very unhelpful, I won't be eating here again.
Grapes Hotel – PrescotI have been several times to Fat Mommas with different group's of friends and the standard is consistently excellent. The food is superb but most of all the welcoming atmosphere is what sells it. I shall be going yet again for my birthday. Jan
Ella Grill – BirkenheadAbsolutely fantastic!!!! Service is impeccable! A Warm, friendly welcome by hard working staff! The food is beautiful! I'm personally not an Indian cuisine type of person but the food will win over anybody! The food is reasonably priced and you are treated like a member of the family! I cannot recommend a restaurant as highly as the Asiana!
Asiana – West DerbyI visited Prego New Years Eve 2010 with my partner 2 friends and our 2 toddlers. We ordered a bowl of olives and bread to start. 4 main courses of steak 3 with prawns 'surf and turf' There is a £4 difference if you order the steak with prawns. When the main arrived i was shocked at the stinginess of the prawns. I had 3 tiny prawns on my plate not worth eating. They still had that horrible brown line in the back of them which i can only assume is waste! We waited a good 5-10 mins for the side dish to accompany the steak by the time it arrived most of us had eaten at least half of the steak and one had almost all of it! When it did arrive it was one bowl of vegetables between 2. Nowhere near enough. The green beans were over cooked the potatoes were vile and the broccoli and carrots were cold. I normally prefer chips etc with a steak but we were not offered any alternatives upon ordering. We also ordered a bowl of pasta for the children to share which was ok. After our main we ordered 2 deserts of profiteroles. This consisted of 2 profiteroles yes 2!!! on a plate with a shot glass of cream. looked good but for £5 each I would expect more than 2! We also ordered the children a bowl of ice cream. Along with the food we had a glass of wine / coke / pint of fosters and a bottle of peroni. The bill come to £170. £85 per couple. A lot considering we left hungry!!! Very expensive for what you get. Not worth the hard earned money we paid for it. Low quality food. Mediocre service. No atmosphere. Disappointing new years eve and wasted money! Would definitely not recommend and I will definitely not be returning ever again. There are far too many lovely restaurants in Liverpool don't waste your money here!!
