Crown of India – PrescotWe went on Mothering Sunday for breakfast. With being Mothers day we expected a wait for the food too arrive and would understand the odd mistake. It started off really well, the waitress was very attentive and polite. That is where the positive ends I am afraid. We waited for over 40 mins for our food to start arriving. We ordered 2 Eggs Benedict, an omlette, a breakfast and some toast for the boys. One eggs benedict arrived after 40 minutes and the other meals did not arrive for another 25 minutes, by which point our friend had eaten his. So was left to watch us eat ours. We spoke politely to the floor manager, who did not seem interested or bothered. It took the waitress to ask the manager to offer us a free coffee in the end. The food is mediocre at best but reasonably priced. I would not recommend this restaurant because not only is food mediocre the floor manager did not seem to care about his floor. He seemed more interested in his friends who happened to dining at the time we where there.
Espresso Plus Coffee Bar and Bistro – Mossley HillFelt a bit miffed because we went on Mothers day - enticed in by the poster stating 'Sunday 2 courses for £12.90' only to be told it wasn't available because it was mother's day! Ended up staying because we thought we wouldn't get in anywhere else - food was excellent and plentiful!
Lefteris Greek Taverna – Mossley HillMy mum came to visit on Friday, i wanted to take her somewhere up market with good food a nice atmosphere and my did Jalons tick all of the boxes. The food was fresh well presented and overall just scrumptious. The atmosphere with Paul Brookes (i think that was the guy playing the piano's name) was delightful.Ten out of ten for service . i would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning g as a treat in the future..
Jalons – Wavertree9 of us went to the Tavern last Saturday. Atmosphere was buzzing i felt like i was in a restaurant somewhere in New York. The food was fab, we weren't rushed or kept waiting. One of the staff did shout then not so delicately place the food on the table which was a little abrupt. The toilets could have been cleaner however they rang to confirm booking, which i think is a lovely extra, on the day and overall it was a lovely night out.
Tavern Co – WavertreeThe palace Indian st Helen's always a great meal and great value for money been going for years and always return!!
Palace Balti Tandoori – St.HelensSorry I went here one lunch time a saturday. They ere slow and charged us for a meal we hadn't had . we never got an itemised bil till I had to sk for one . The portions were small and unimpressive. Believe me I know Catalan food I lived there for 3 years and this wasn't that good. Sorry . Also thought the prices were high for the small portions you got.Not good.
Lunya – Liverpool City CentreAfternoon Tea at The Lounge, Hard Days Night. Excellent food and setting with excellent, but down to earth service. We were ordering 2 afternoon teas, but advised to just order 1, as there was ample on one for sharing. The waitress was right! The lemon cake was sensational! Also I'm on a limited diet at the moment, and there was no problem meeting my requirements. A second pot of tea was included in the price. Had booked it as a treat for a friend, but wont have any hesitation in calling in whenever in Liverpool

I ate at the Monro last week and was amazed at the quality of the food and the incredibly attentive staff. I can thoroughly recommend it as what you pay at some higher end places just does not compare. Am going again for the roast on Mothers Day and I can't wait as I'm intolerant to additives and the chefs don't put anything in their food that shouldn't be there. So I will be able to enjoy a totally chilled afternoon with my family. I'm hoping its warm enough for the beer garden, it truly is a little gem.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreMy family and i have eaten in your restaurants twice in the past two weeks, the meals are amazing and the service is excellent.
Pietra Bar and Restaurant – WaterlooBeen several times with family, good varied menu but the steaks are definitely outstanding, happy atmosphere and friendly knowledgeable waiters who reel off the specials with ease, reasonable priced for very good food, will be going back at first opportunity.
Sorrento – Formbygood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mayflower – Liverpool City CentreA fantastic Italian restaurant, I started going to the Casa as a student in 1982, and still love it. Great food, excellent service and good prices. Italian is my favourite food, and this is my favourite restaurant.
Casa Italia – Liverpool City CentreAnother visit, another outstanding meal. The wonderful thing about this place is that the service is just as outstanding as the food. You can linger all you like over your meal - the staff don't hurry you, and you can be sure that as a result you'll be back again & again - just like me!
Elif – AigburthFood just ok, but object to being charged £7.60 for 2 pints of lemonade for my teetotal son. I don't mind paying more than I would in a pub but I do feel this was rather excessive. However when I queried it as I was paying the bill, I was told "I don't set the tariff", hardly what I would call good customer service. Needless to say, we won't be back. Go to the Riverhill or the Grove House for a fantastic meal and a bar bill that you won't need to take out a mortgage for!
The Manor – GreasbyIts not often that I have such a poor experience n a restaurant that I feel the need to write about it.. however after visiting the Spice Lounge recently I do feel a complaint is justified. My wife and I ate here recently and found all aspects of this place rubbish. The curries are appalling, the service is indifferent and the cost is extortionate. For 2 starters 2 curries with rice and 3 cokes? £53. You can eat in the Malmaison for less. On top of that they slapped on a 10% service charge. It wouldn't be so bad if the food was good but it wasn't. My kebab starter was bland and dry and came with a brown (should have been green) salad. The curries were dreadful and tasted very synthetic. Avoid.
