China Garden – AintreeHad a great meal here last night, will definitely be back again! Will keep my eye open for the new menu on your webpage. Keep up the good work!
Gusto – HeswallBeen going to Bistro Jacques for over 2 years now. We usually go on a Tuesday evening to make use of the special offer. On almost every occasion everything is perfect, from service, to food, to bill. However, even when we do encounter a problem, which is extremely RARE -m hey, no one is perfect -ok then, the fatty steak I had a few weeks ago - the staff are unfazed and extremely polite, doing everything possible to make things right without making us feel embarrassed . We recommended this place to our neighbours and they are now hooked and told us they go even more than us. They introduced their relatives and they too have now recommended their friends! We should have asked Bistro Jacques for discount for recommendations. But then we are rewarded on every visit anyway just because of the quality and atmosphere of the place,.
Bistro Jacques – Liverpool City CentreAfter visiting Bistro Jacques dozens of times, decided for a change. Visited in April with my son and ordered the" lunch rapide". Ordered the same dishes I normally have at BJ's. Sorry guys, BJ's wins. My main was smaller, not hot and slightly overcooked, My son had chicken nuggets, chips and beans, which was served looking as though it had been sat under a hot plate for a little too long, (you know, that shrivelled, glazed look) although it was not hot enough. I did not realize I was also entitled to a dessert as part of the offer and no one reminded me. However, the staff were so lovely, we did not complain, we just ate, still gave a decent tip (how could we not!) and left. Maybe we will visit again some time as staff and surroundings still great so would like to give you another chance. In the meantime, sticking with your big brother BJ's
Bistro Pierre – Liverpool City CentreI recently ate here with my family who were visiting Southport. The choice was excellent, the food was excellent and the service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant with reservation.
Le Boulevard – SouthportMy husband and I ate here on Friday night in early May for my birthday. I was sincerely impressed by the staff, service provided and the food itself. We requested a different table to sit at which, due to being fully booked, they were not able to accommodate. However they were keen to stress that as soon as another table became free we would be moved. Each person who attended our table had been informed of our request and we knew they were trying their best to help us. The food was absolutely delicious and we will return but the stand out aspect of this restaurant above 99% of others is their superb customer service.
Chaba Chaba Thai Restaurant – Mossley HillWe recently booked the tiffin room for a family gathering as we regularly visit the restaurant, absolute quality night as you also get to take you own beers and wine to the function room and I must say what a great idea. Food was great as per usual. See you soon guys Mike & Jane
Tiffin – Childwalli am a regular customer at this wonderful restaurant as the staff are very friendly and the food is great. The chef is very polite and meticulous over his special dishes of which are amazing, i have no complaints.
Le Boulevard – SouthportMy husband and I visited Chans for the first time on sat 7th may 2011 not knowing what to expect. We were seated in the long area and given menus and it wasn't long before Charlie Chan greeted us personally. He was so friendly and likeable we felt very welcome. We were taken to our table where our starters were waiting for us which was lovely. We found the food portions weren't huge but the quality was amazing. The siu mai starter was so meaty and fresh - better than I had had before. I chose the deep fried crispy shredded beef as a main and was pleasantly surprised when out came tender thick pieces of beef in a very light tempura batter - not at all greasy. My husband loved his special chow mien too. All in all a lovely evening with excellent food and we will be going back soon.
Mr Chans – St.HelensI got a take away from Uni on the basis of all the good reviews I read. It was utterly VILE. I got the Cha Chas King Prawn Special and I could not eat it. The sauce had absolutely no taste to it and the prawns tasted very fishy eeewww. Husband got Lamb Jalfrezy and that lacked any sort of heat and was equally as bland. NEVER AGAIN :(
Uni Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreTried the Asiana on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. Glad we went-excellent service, food superb & very satisfied-we even got a free complimentary dish to try between the 4 of us!! Loads of choice on the menu-didn't disappoint at all & very reasonable priced menu too. Will definitely be going back there. 10/10 all round-thanks!!
Asiana – West DerbyAfter recommendations on sugarvine tried Tony's. Absolutely fabulous, best pasta I have ever tasted. Don't miss a chance to visit this restaurant.. Excellent value for money.
Tony’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria – SouthportWeatherspoons has a wide menu range of food with plenty of choice, good cheerful bar and table service and a fine choice of wines, spirits and non alcoholic drinks
Wetherspoons – Liverpool City Centrelove love love this place!! staff lovely, the booths are a fantastic idea add privacy for them special occasions :) i can not eat anywhere else now!!!
Uni Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreI visited the Game Bird on the 2/5/11 with a party of 13 to celebrate my daughters birthday. On arrival we were greeted and seated in a very professional manner by the staff in attendance. Unfortunately that's where the pleasure ended. On ordering the food my partners and my meal arrived in record time but it turned out to be another parties order which we were told by the what turned out to be the Duty Manager to accept the meal as ours. By the time we actually where given the go ahead to start the meal it was look warm to say the least. The rest of the party where given their meals some 45 minutes later. When I approached the Duty manager she advised they where having equipment problems with the kitchen. When i asked her why customers where not kept informed of the waiting time no explanation was forthcomming. As a first time visitor to The Game Bird I dont think myself or my good lady will be in a hurry to return. If I was to mark points out of 10 for The Game Bird unfortunatley they would come in at minus 2.
The Game Bird – St.HelensEgo Restaurant Heswall has always been a Favorite of mine ever since it opened 11 years ago, but over the last 18 months it has gone down hill, It still has it's vibrant atmosphere but the service and food is just getting worse, the waitress serving the downstairs front window has been so miserable for the last 18 months. The Gambas al Pil Pil King prawns sauteed with garlic and chill which my wife always orders has got smaller last month served with five small prawns in a six inch diameter dish, now its being served in a three inch diameter relish dish, I thought it was a joke, then after waiting 45 minutes for my wifes well done steak, only to arrive poring with blood which she hates they have not been able to get the steaks done to our liking over the last 18 months,I ordered Haddock in a Bag Sustainable line caught haddock baked with fennel & fresh seasonal vegetables served with cous cous, it was unbelievable the tail of haddock with dry tasteless cous cous served in TIN-FOIL our guests where laughing saying we should have gone to the chippy,,I did complain and the manager was very apologetic, but the point is you should not have to complain you should be able to go out and enjoy the food,
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – HeswallWe went to Bistro Noir in the evening after the Royal Wedding....really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff are really pleasant, the food is lovely and the desserts are to die for!!
Bistro Noir – Aigburthvisited your restaurant last Friday evening with my wife and overall our dining experience was exceptional from our initial greeting, service from alessio and guiseppe was superb, and the food was fantastic ! without doubt the best Italian restaurant in Liverpool and surrounding area , we will certainly be back and will have no hesitation in recommending you to our family and friends. thankyou once again, kind regards paul debby
