Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillTried The Munro for the first time on Friday night(23April) the food and the service was outstanding.I haven't been to a restaurant in ages where all of us enjoyed every mouthful of food. The taste and freshness of the food was unbelievable and we heard the main chef was off and the sous chef took his place for that night. We had the salmon, duck and steak and all was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was great too. Definitely will return in the near future.I would recommend the Munro to any great foodie out there and believe me I am fussy!
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreThis is one of the best Greek restaurants I've been to in a long time, the food is fresh and tasty, the meat always cooked to perfection the salads light and refreshing, as you'd expect in a good quality Greek Restaurant. The wine and beer authentic and excellent value - as is the food. The atmosphere is charming and relaxed, the service is of a very high standard. A must visit.
Crete Greek Taverna – SouthportI really love Gusto and go regularly. I have had romantic meals for two, dining on lobster and champagne and also taken the kids whilst they love making their own pizzas at great value. The service is great and a good menu to choose from. I think great value aswell.
Gusto – Liverpool City CentreFantastic restaurant, atmosphere wonderful and food, the best on the Wirral. Very Child friendly, with child portions. Staff are very helpful and courteous. Always busy, even at 6.30 mid week. Have tried other places, but always come back to the Venezia. Prices are reasonable and portions are very good.
Venezia Pizzeria – BirkenheadWe stumbled upon this pub/restaurant by accident and we were not disappointed. Both the food and service were excellent, the ambience of the place was good. My wife had the pate starter, this was the most beautiful pate we have ever tasted. I will be visiting again, and do not hesitate to recommend this place
Master McGraths – SouthportWent to Kozi's today for the first time. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and we will definitely be going back! Thank you.
Kozi – PrescotNever again would i go there !!!! The chicken satay sticks were actually made from ranicid off chicken which you could smell. I complained to the waiter who removed the chicken off the buffet and agreed wit me that it was in fact rotten meat by then the damage is done and you dont want to eat another thing. I was given £1.60 off my bill and luckily never got food poisoning !
Yums Oriental Buffet – Liverpool City CentreWe went there the other week with friends, who had booked, it was quite nice, but frankly, I could not see what all the fuss was about. I found it to be bog standard bistro/gastropub food, it was nice but I felt a little pricey for what it was. I wouldn't rush back.
Bistrot Verite – SouthportPassage To India, Bold Street, Liverpool. This Restaurant is top class in all fields, service, food, and attention to detail and the most important, great value for money. There welcoming & friendliness to all there customers is the final touch to make me visit this top Indian restaurant on a regular basis.Try there Sunday Indian Buffet for £9.95 with a wide range of starters & mains this is a great way to introduce some one to the taste of India.
A Passage To India – Liverpool City Centrewhat a fantastic place we sang happy birthday to our chum, next minute a waiter brought a small cake with candle and put happy birthday record on then he took our photo and presented it to her in a birthday card, on top of that the food was gorgeous, service excellent, drinks reasonably priced, went there 2 years ago to celebrate engagement about 20 of us bill only came to £410 we are booking there for our Xmas meal , good atmosphere
New Orchid Garden – West DerbyHave to be negative I'm afraid. Not usually a fan of Ego's as food a bit bland and overpriced for what it is, but your voucher offer persuaded us to try them again. I was upfront about the voucher when booking by phone, as have been in situation where restaurant has refused voucher if not told in advance. BIG MISTAKE as treated like 2nd class citizens I felt, as a consequence. Starters took about 45 mins to come, while those seated after us tucked in. Was told mezze plate took time to plate up, though not sure why house salad with feta added, shop bought pitta and greek dips takes so long to put on plate (hummus probably was homemade but had little in the way of tahini, lemon or other seasoning to make it interesting, so shop bought might have been better) Pointing out delay politely made little difference and 11/2 hours after arrival, when we were just about to walk out, main courses arrived, and couldn't say quality made up for the wait. The moral: don't let on 'til you pay about any vouchers. Even though ironically the restaurant was advertising them on board outside, they obviously don't like them. Better still, go to MEZZE Mediterranean restaurant in Liscard, where full-priced food will still cost you less and all be homemade and delicious, including the heavenly homemade pitta bread. It's been there years and has loyal clientele, which speaks volumes!
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – HeswallThis is about as good as it gets for Mexican food in this area. The old favourites are all offered, but they are tastier than usual, and not so greasy and unhealthy. There are less commonly offered delights too.( For those of you who've seen "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" where Johnnie Depp travels around eating pueco pi bil and shoots the chef when he finds one that's perfect,- try cochinita pi bil at Savina, but please don't shoot the chef as we want to go back, and this is about my favourite dish on the menu...) Definitely highly recommended!
Savina – Liverpool City CentreHave eaten here a few times and would recommend it as the food and service are really good. The restaurant is small but has a lovely atmosphere but you really need to book of a weekend as it gets busy.
Retsina Greek Restaurant – West DerbySuperb. Whatever your food tastes, Steve the owner will match it. Not sure what to try? He will make sure you have the right one for you. Friendly staff, a bit cramped so either get there early or book as it does get very busy. I've recommended this place to many people, all have loved it and returned.
Balti Spice – St.HelensA great end to a big day at the grand national ,food divine as ever ,sorry if we were a little tipsy we had a ball Alison and the girls x
Spire – WavertreeMy wife and I have been eating at Esteban on the weekend, for at least 5 years now. In the past, the menu has been wonderful and always seems to be developing to my tastes, the service has always been lovely, and the ambiance tactful. The past two weekends have been the worst experience for me and I'm sorry to say, I will never be going back to Esteban. Firstly, we have been denied the right to book a table on two separate weekends- I was furious when I phoned to book and was told that although I was a regular I would not be getting a table booked. I have never been to a restaurant that does not take bookings (at least do it for the regulars) We came in anyway, sat down and relaxed. The music was so loud, it was like a disco, the lights were so dim I couldn't actually read the menu. The seats had been moved, and now I was so cramped I could hardly move! So we eventually asked out waiter to turn the music down. He went and got a new person, whom I can only assume is a manager, (he was wearing some tacky pink shirt and tie instead of the Esteban shirt) he then lied to our faces saying he was going to turn it down, and turned it up 10 minutes later! I do not know what is happening there, but it used to be a really relaxed environment. Now the staff is falling over each other, I can't speak to my wife, and I can't read the menu to order anything. All my friends will know about the changes. Esteban- age 30+, -Not welcome!
Esteban Mediterranean Tapas – AigburthI've been to this restaurant a few times now. I was introduced to it by my Dad. The food is extremely flavoursome and they have an extensive menu, with many dishes I have not heard of before!! I have always ordered from the Al a Carte menu, but I'm told the buffet is very good and well worth the value. Decor is nice, modern and new, prices average, and service is very good. I would highly recommend a visit!!
