Ying Wah Restaurant – WooltonGreat food, great service! A must go!!!!
New Orchid Garden – West DerbyWent last week for my daughters birthday as she loves Chinese food we were quite disappointed as portions were small and expensive, waiters were not very attentive if a little rude as kept speaking Chinese to each other and then kept staring. The food was OK but not great, have been to better Chinese restaurants before as a result will not be returning.
Mei Mei – Liverpool City CentreHave been meaning to call in for a while having driven past every day for a few months. Went last week for restaurant and it was so good we had a takeaway this Saturday! Fantastic service and beautiful food. We will definitely go back, a very welcome addition to West Derby Village!
Asiana – West DerbyOh dear! Went to Almond on Saturday 20th March 2010. A night of disaster!!! 1st: Pumpkin soup - absolutely tasteless! and had lumps of what looked like flour floating in it - yuk. 2nd: Had plaice in a creamy sauce. Smelled very 'fishy' when it arrived and tasted even worse. I think it was off and couldn't stomach any more of it. Veg severely undercooked too. 3rd: Apple pie and custard: Raw underneath!!!! Absolutely no excuse for this bad food. Chef obviously incompetent who doesn't taste his own food for flavour. Reported to the manager at the end of the meal who said she 'was sorry about that' Never offered a refund or a solution to rectify the situation. She says on the website she 'loves customer service' - well she has no skills there either. Beware bad food at ALMOND WEST DERBY!!!!!!!
Almond Bar and Restaurant – West DerbyHi, I have visited the Panoramic several times and have never had any problems. My Fiance worked there as a Chef from September 2009 until Mid March 2010, and although it was long hours with little financial reward, he learnt a great deal and knew that it would look impressive on his CV. At the start of March, I asked my Fiance to book a table for me and 5 girl friends (who were visiting from the Isle of Man, Scotland and Manchester) for a drink on 20th March. My fiance was not included. As no telephone confirmation had been received by either myself or my fiance, I rang the restaurant on the morning of 20th to confirm. The receptionist confirmed the booking for 5pm. Upon arrival, I was told by the receptionist that I would not be allowed to enter the restaurant. The front of house manager then came to reception and explained that since my fiance had ceased employment there, neither of us will be allowed to enter in there ever again! I explained that I had friends who had requested to go there for the view and all we wanted was a drink in the bar. Again he re-iterated that he and the chef had reached a decision and that was final. My friends were horrified and again asked for an explanation. Not wanting to cause any further fuss, I left with my friends. There are many things I could say about what happens in that kitchen, and I just want the public to be aware of the attitudes of the staff. They didn't even have the decency to tell me when I called to confirm the booking on the morning. I think I can sum it up by saying reputational damage is hard to rebuild, and I will never again recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Panoramic 34 – Liverpool City CentreThe best place I believe in Liverpool One. However its the only one that is not well signed as you view the restaurants on the top floor of the shopping centre. Crisp, clean and simple in both terms of decor and cuisine.
Wagamama – Liverpool City CentreRestaurant bar and grill used to be a fantastic restaurant. The quality of the food and service have deteriorated so far that it is on level pars with Wetherspoons or Mc Donalds. I dined here a couple of weeks ago and was so appalled by the service, we had to as someone to top up our wine glasses but where ignored and they walked away. We where chased off the table by being presented with the Bill without requesting it as we were not finished. After being so disgusted with this I complained to the manager and was invited back for a complimentary meal. I returned this weekend and was shocked that when I arrived and was sat at my table, the table was not finished being set. The waiter crouched down and lent on our table. The food was so over cooked that we could not eat it, and when the waiter asked the problem and we informed him we where met with a response of " well people normally enjoy the food" The lamb was unbelievably dry, all the food was under seasoned and we had to request salt. At the end of the meal to our horror we were asked if we wanted the bill! Even though it was supposed to be complimentary! Overall I was appalled and would not recommend anyone to dine at this restaurant.
Restaurant Bar and Grill – Liverpool City CentreStaff very friendly and helpful, food delicious. We especially liked the pork with almond milk and the chorizo in red wine. A fine addition to the area, and we'll certainly be going back. There's also a very tempting delicatessen.
Lunya – Liverpool City CentreOne word "Horrendous". I got severed quicker than I would in McDonalds. Food was appalling and the salad was going brown. Not fresh at all! Gordon Ramsey would have a field day in this place. Meat was dry as if it had been on the grill all day and only the sauces disguised that fact! Avoid at all costs. Very disappointing service too. DREADFUL to be exact.
Royal Bengal Restaurant – West Kirbylittle jewel this place, great original food, reasonably priced, quiet location good attentive service, what more could you ask for?
Gusto Trattoria – Southportbistro verite some of the best food i have eaten, good service and ambiance if a little cramped, but nevertheless the food is and always should be central to the whole dining experience and in this case it is
Bistrot Verite – SouthportFinding myself in southport tonight, popped into Volares on Lord st, what a nice place !small, friendly and family owned and run. owner is the chef ! and really good food. Had Sicilian fish soup which was as nice as I have ever had, piquant and choc full of mussells. and a really good pizza with parmesan, rocket, parma ham and tiny tomatoes, it was enormous and I ended up taking half home for supper. Prices are very reasonable, 2 courses for about £13 and 3 for £15 ish , splendid value, will go again next week with the family
Volare – SouthportWent to Mei Mei for my birthday meal last night. Totally DISAPPOINTED. Had to search for tiny strips of meat and 3 prawns. My boyfriend ordered special chow mein with was anything but, it had no taste of any description!! Can't believe people have stated this is one of the best Chinese in Liverpool!!!
Mei Mei – Liverpool City CentreI was at Lunya this week. Quality of food is amazing, atmosphere was sensational. Will certainly be going back.
Lunya – Liverpool City CentreAte in Lunya on Sunday. I believe that they had only been open for two days. The food was excellent, the staff were excellent. The owner obviously has a real passion for Spain and even throws in a Liverpool twist. We ate off the tapas menu- We had the best razor clams we have ever eaten, oxtail croquettes with horseradish cream, squid in cains beer batter and potato bravos....All to an excellent standard. WELL DONE LUNYA - WORTH A VISIST !
