Spire – Wavertreethe key to a great restaurant is consistency,my 6th visit to spire on thursday night ,was as good as the first time, keep it up all ....
Spire – WavertreeThe service in Damon's is very good. I took my two nieces there for their favourite baby back ribs, which were very tasty ( I managed to pinch one). However, it was probably my worst ever dining experience. I'm afraid the steak sandwich that I had was very poor quality and did not compare favourably to my local sandwich shop and was four times more expensive to boot. The kids loved their puddings but what child under seven years of age does not?
Damons – Mossley HillI would Recommend this wonderful restaurant to the Queen of England. You cannot fault one single thing about it. We are booked for a family get together ,yet again, and we are looking forward to it very much. Well done to owners and your wonderful staff. Christine.of Esher in Surrey
Tai Pan Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreHave we all been to the same restaurant?!! I personally found the food pretty poor, the menu unexciting and the decor scruffy. I am sick of the "put up with any old food" vegetarian mentality which allows places like this to serve up ill conceived and unexciting menu's to the cities over-accepting veggies. I had one of the specials, 'gumbo', this proved to be bland and starchy and the side salad that it was served with was far from fresh. WE DON'T HAVE TO EAT BLAND STEWS ALL THE TIME!!! The egg really would benefit travelling to Brighton to sample vegetarian fayre from the country's finest.
The Egg Vegetarian Restaurant and Cafe – Liverpool City CentreNice looking inside but food a little over priced for the location and for quality of food . Never again will i be be coming back, largely due to the attitude of the Manger. Better service in the Mcdonalds across the road. No wounder the place was empty, fingers crossed he will be out of work soon.
Prego Restaurant – AintreeMy friends and I were in Liverpool last weekend, we decided to try Il forno and were not disappointed by the whole experience, the menu is very very good we all raved about it the next day. The next time we venture to Liverpool I will undoubtedly be visiting here again.
Il Forno – Liverpool City CentreEnded up at Jacques on day trip to Liverpool. Could not fault the food/staff nor the price. Would recommend to anyone.
Bistro Jacques – Liverpool City CentreAs advised you said you were happy to pass on negative criticism. Very disappointed on Saturday having had many good meals there over the years...the pizzas were not made with mozzarella cheese but looked like cheddar cheese. Not terribly Italian
First class restaurant - I had Mussells to start with and Lamb for my main course - absolutely gorgeous. I am not a wine drinker but there appears to be a pretty comprehensive wine list. Would recommend a visit - this is 20 yards from Birkdale Train station and there are several bars near by.
Bistrot Verite – SouthportWent to Estebans today (August bank holiday) for late lunch with parents and partner. It was lovely to dine outside on the spacious patio area, just like being abroad but with the buzz of Lark Lane and the relaxed lazy Sunday ambience of the restaurant as a backdrop. We ordered a large selection of tapas and a lovely bottle of rioja. The tapas were delicious, generously sized and very tasty. There was a wide range to choose from, with ones not found on the menu at some of the more well known tapas chains. Also, the service was attentive and courteous but unobtrusive which reflected the relaxed Sunday afternoon ambience of the restaurant today. My guests had not been before and all have commented on how much they enjoyed the food and the visit today. I was paying today and I was very impressed at the cost of the meal as we ordered a lot and had wine and coffees. It came to £20 per head which I thought was excellent considering the quality and quantity of our meal.
Esteban Mediterranean Tapas – AigburthI ate here recently and the food is very poor. It was very poor quality. For example the steak and ale pie was full of lumps of fat and gristle. The fish pie with 'king prawns', turned out to be a frozen prawn and potato pie with no trace of fish, or king prawns for that matter. The food is cheap, but even at those prices I would rather not bother. Not recommended
The Thatch and Thistle – SouthportAnother fantastic meal at Zorba's, the best Greek Restaurant by far. Thank you Mike and Louisa for a lovely night, it was great to see you both. Will be back again soon.
Zorbas – Liverpool City CentreI recommend it because the restaurant has a good feel to it. The chef is well known for his cooking and shows it at his own place. The restaurant is small and homely and has a great atmosphere, all the staff and kind and make the time there a little bit more memorable. So all in all, it has got to be one of or the best place to eat out in Southport.
Bistrot Verite – SouthportPerfect service and lovely menu - a must for fish lovers - had the haddock chips and peas - presentation was perfect - dish almost faultless but chips needed work - had a strange taste - i could take them or leave them - I think next time I'd go for the seafood stew - it looks like a type of bouillabaise and looked gorgeous...
