SERVICE WAS AT A HIGH STANDARD AND FOOD WAS AMAZING !
The Monro – Liverpool City Centrethe food, hospitality everything was fantastic even the atmosphere was great.Thanx for a great night
Greek Taverna – WaterlooI booked a table in this restaurant four weeks ago, I had booked the VIP table for ten guests, when booking the table I offered to pay a deposit but was told that this was not necessary. I contacted the restaurant two days prior to the booking to confirm the reservation and was told that everything was fine. I arrived on the evening to be informed that they had no record of my booking.....when I asked to see their reservation book my name and reservation was clearly there....I pointed this out to the staff concerned and they told me that I no longer had a table and asked me and my party to leave the premises! I was very shocked at how rude and unhelpful the staff were, they had clearly given our table to somebody else....they made no offer of compensation and no apology. I have since spoken to a number of other people who have a had a similar exeriences, it would appear the restaurant are over booking to ensure that the restaurant it full at the expense of diners who are looking forward to an enjoyable evening. I would certainly not visit this restaurant ever again and was disgusted with the treatment I received.
Chaophraya – Liverpool City CentreWent for a meal here beginning of July. I cannot fault anything, the restaurant is lovely inside, staff are friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding. We had the set menu £25.00 each and the seabass was gorgeous. We then went next door to Palm Sugar for cocktails. Would highly recommend here.
Chaophraya – Liverpool City Centrefood was tasty...took a while...and staff were a bit confused over table numbers and where food was meant to be...but gave us a chance to chat and drink. When the food came was so nice...at least that proves its freshly prepared and cooked .
Greek Taverna – WaterlooMy wife and I went with family on Thursday of this week, while visiting'back home'I can't say how happy I was to have chosen Chaophraya, from the service the decor and ambience!! the food was out of this world superbly presented by staff who where more than happy to take care of you. I am so happy to recommend this restaurant as it ,no It's staff just show total commitment and dedication. We, my wife and I actually went back for lunch the next day, dare I say possibly better, but that could just be we had some time with just us. Go and support this wonderful restaurant, not expensive but not the cheapest, but probably the best eating experience I have ever had in Liverpool.
Chaophraya – Liverpool City CentreHad to return my meal which meant my partner ate alone while I waited for a replacement.. They offered me a cup of coffee for the inconvenience which I declined. A reduction on the bill would have sufficed but they refused to reduce the bill in any way even though they were at fault. As I had to leave for my train I had no time to argue the point with them. I would never eat there again.
Bistro Pierre – Liverpool City CentreTried out Prego for lunch recently and have to say was far from impressed with service. Food was food though. If you go for lunch make sure you get there early. We were there at 2pm and they seemed less than impressed when we asked about desserts. Then when we took their hints and left they had locked the doors! Any they advertise as being open 10am to 11pm!
Prego Restaurant – AintreeHeld my daughters christening upstairs at Pioneer. What a fantastic venue for a function. They won't entertain 18ths or 21sts but the best location in the area for christenings, 30ths, 40ths, 50ths etc by far. Thanks to David, Ian and all the staff for a memorable and perfect day.
Pioneer Bar and Brasserie – CrosbyMy husband and I went to this restaurant on Sunday 26th and thought this was very overpriced for what seemed a good menu and the atmosphere cold and uninviting. There was a mix on the service as one waiter was very good where as the other couldn't wait to clear us out. Sorry I won't be going again.
Il Forno – Liverpool City CentreWe adore hong sing, great chinese food, reasonably priced, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. We go often with our daughter who's first visit was at 3 weeks old and the staff are fantastic with her. Great for a family meal, catch up with friends and even a great place to celebrate special occasions. Our favourite chinese!!
Hong Sing – St.HelensSTILL LOVING THE LUX !!!!! ANYONE READING AND LOOKING FOR GOOD CHINESE CUISINE THEN GO ALONG AND TRY, YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED... WE ARE ALWAYS THERE :-)
Lux Garden Restaurant – AintreeJust dreadful! Our party of 6 arrived about 4.30pm on a Sunday to a pre-booked table. We had 2 babies with us (both had lots of experience of eating out at lunchtime and late afternoon) so we were expecting to eat and be away by 6.45ish. Not too much to ask? At 4.50pm we ordered drinks and were told there was a 30min wait for food - surprising given the pub wasn't full. We ordered our food by 5.05pm and our roast dinners arrived........at 6.35pm!!! We complained, twice, and eventually were given the explanation that one member of our party had ordered a starter, shame on him! The starter in question was 2 stuffed mushrooms which arrived about 5.15pm. The rest of us had no starter, so an hour and 20min wait was unacceptable. If we had not had the babies with us, who were starving, we would have walked out and gone to pizza hut. When the food arrived it was dismal - they had run out of roast lamb and beef so only had chicken left. The chicken had been rotissieried and was dry and stringy. This was served with 3 small potatoes, 5 carrot chunks, mange tout (the only item that was cooked well) and a hard yorkshire pub. What was so frustrating was the menu looked really nice, with lots of lovely puds too. The wine list was impressive also. Sadly, by the time we had wolfed down our dinner, the babies were too tired to continue so we ignored the pud menu, paid and left. No apologies or offers to reduce the bill. My partner has written a formal complaint to their head office, we both had to have more food when we got home as we were both hungry and we will never go back again!
Hinderton Arms – HeswallLOVE the food in here, we do visit quite often and we are never disappointed with the service. Cooked well, tasty and large portions!! I could just go back again now....
Edwards – WaterlooThe food was well presented, hot and delicious. There were some unusual dishes listed on the menu and so much choice! We ordered the set meal for 2 and the curry so tasty and spicy they can blend flavours well! We thought the restaurant lacked a certain atmosphere and some of the staff could smile a bit more? We probably will return because we found this place good value for money and reasonable portions.
Hilal Balti House – Formby11 of us went for Sunday lunch. The service was very slow. The food was beautifully cooked but unfortunately did not include vegetables with the main course.
Pietra Bar and Restaurant – WaterlooBeen visiting for about 4 years now, and Monday this week was possibly the best food I've eaten here. Elsaban Tava to die for, and my friend's chicken dish was just ... mmmm! Almost full on a Monday night, which in itself has to be testament to the quality and value.
Mezze – WallaseyI was most disappointed with the quantity of food provided, tasty but we left hungry and lighter in pocket, after boulibaise, barely wetting the bottom of the dish and my husband had monkfish very paltry portion.
