Wouldn't eat here again, wine bar, more like a greasy spoon, sorry but just didn't enjoy it at all, atmosphere very dull.

Keith’s Food & Wine Bar – AigburthEnjoyed a lovely meal early doors Saturday, the early dining menu was great value, the sea bass was delicious, my husbands burger looked fabulous, no minced beef in there it was ground steak. Our daughter had the chicken ghoujons from the kids menu and there was enough to feed 3 kids, she thoroughly enjoyed them and the staff were fantastic with her. It's lovely to go somewhere that is not too stuffy for families. We would definitely return. On the negative, took three goes to get correct bill but it would definitely not put me off.
OSQA – Liverpool City CentreReasonably cheap, nice atmosphere, relaxed, friendly staff although more of a casual place. Definitely would go back though.
Tokyou – Liverpool City CentreFantastic food, good value, relaxing atmosphere, although not sure whether I enjoyed sharing a table but everything else made it. I would definitely go back and have recommended it several times :0)
Wagamama – Liverpool City CentreWe have eaten at Puschka several times and each time the food and service has been second to none. Best place to eat in Liverpool without a doubt.
Puschka – Liverpool City CentreThis was my first visit to Tai Pan after hearing rave reviews about it. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. It was cheap low quality food at over exorbitant prices. The clientele was rough to say the least. The standard of service was poor. I cant ever remember being served salad cream as a dip accompaniment to any Chinese meal. The bill with non- alcoholic drinks for me and my son was not far short of £90 I would not make any recommendation for anyone who has experienced and likes good Chinese food in other places to go to tai Pan and i certainly would not be parting with my hard earned cash there
Tai Pan Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreIt seems a shame to read such a great review but to experience the reality was a major disappointment. The venue was lovely, a piano bar restaurant, Friday night, pay day, peak hour, shame there was no pianist to bring the piano alive to add any ambiance, in fact that was the problem there was no atmosphere. The staff were very miserable and seemed to blend in the background never there to give any form of reasonable service. As we arrived at about 9.15pm we sat at the bar only to be given menus for the food?!?! Out of a group of 20 our final meal came at 11.15pm, this wouldn't have been so bad but all the while no-one expressed any concern or reassurance and as we waited around staff cleared tables and lights went off giving the uncomfortable feeling that maybe everyone simply wanted to just hurry us up and go home. The food actually wasnt too bad, not the best, certainly not premium quality..in summary a restaurant with bags of potential, great venue, no atmosphere, miserable incompetent staff and absolutely no level of service to warrant a 2nd visit, the saving grace was 20% off the bill!!
OSQA – Liverpool City CentreIncredible food! The only Indian restaurant in Liverpool offering authentic South Idndian Keralan cuisine. My partner and I opted for the Fish Molly @ 6.95 with 2 large steaks of kingfish soaked in a gravy of finely sliced ginger, green chillies, vinegar and freshly squeezed coconut milk - fragrant, fresh and light. We also had the Beet Cheera Pachadi @ a bargain £4.95 full of fresh spinach, beet root and thick yogurt sauce of garlic, tomato, red pepper with mustard seeds and curry leaves - again light and delicious. With food this genuine and healthy there is no reason why other Indian restaurants cannot follow suit instead of the all too common dishes swimming in fat! Possibly the freshest and tastiest Indian take aways we've eaten. Highly recommended. *****
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreWe have been twice in the last two months - service and food is superb. Just booking again for tonight!!! keep up the good work
Lux Garden Restaurant – AintreeMaranto's has delicious food! and the staff are happy to help!. fantastic venue!
Maranto’s Restaurant – AigburthI booked a private room for my Hen Night on the 17th January 2009. The room was great and it was set up to be a great night. Unfortunately the service was awful as the restaurant was woefully understaffed. The waiter we had did his best - but because he had so many other rooms to look after, we were always waiting for drinks or food. We made the best of it - but I wouldn't recommend it unless they solve the staffing problem.
China City – Liverpool City CentreI've spent about 10 minutes sitting here trying to word just how brilliant I think Etsu is! All I can say is that you MUST go and try it for yourself! I've been going there for many months and I can't fault it at all. The staff are very friendly and we now like to act as guinea pigs for any new dishes they've come up with! My Mum particularly enjoys the Gyozas and Edamame and gets 'withdrawal symptoms' when we haven't been for a few weeks. If you are a fan of sushi, I also highly recommend the chefs special platter. It's very clever and so tasty! They have clearly put alot of thought into their food, and I don't just mean the visual presentation; they have also tried to keep it close to Japanese tradition. I recommend Etsu for to anyone :)
Etsu – Liverpool City Centrei ate there today and can honestly say.....why haven't i been there before....lived around southport for years this is best italian by far,i have missed out will defo go back....excellent
Gusto Trattoria – SouthportWe recently spent an evening at Cafe Porto and really enjoyed ourselves. Tucked away in a side street it is a bit off the beaten track but still close enough to the city centre to walk to and well worth finding. The food was fantastic, all home cooked and very tasty. Rather than ordering a meal from the blackboard we chose tapas, which is a great way to sample different portugese dishes. We were able to bring our own wine for a small corkage fee. The staff and owner Pedro are very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I can fully recommend it and we have already been back.
Cafe Porto – Liverpool City CentreI was disgusted with this place and the level of service and food, as me and my Fiancee waited over 20 mins for the "Starter" (Garlic Bread) and the top piece of the bottle where they keep their candles on the table, broke off due to excessive heat and not checked at random intervals for health and safety. As a result, my fingers were burnt and I had to sit throughout the whole meal afterwards with my hand in a pint glass full of ice. The waiter was not arsed from the looks of it, as no further assistance was given or a proper apology said to me. The food was crap (spaghetti carbonara), as it was bland and tasted like it was a microwaved. Plus it was warm and appeared it was left aside, due to the layer of skin from the sauce. In addition, my Fiancee's pizza (pepperoni) had Jalapenos on it, which she didn't ask for, nor was advised of this when ordering. When asked to see a manager, that took nearly 15 mins and we was only offered a discount on the final bill (no charge for the starter). I definitely wont be going back here or recommending this to anyone else and it ruined my self and fiancee's first experience in this restaurant. Score 0/100%
Bella Italia – Liverpool City CentreI had never been to this restaurant before and didn't know it existed it's a little bit off the beaten track, anyway, we had a fantastic meal for a friends 40th. The waiter was extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will definitely dine there again.
OSQA – Liverpool City Centrewe had a wonderful Sunday lunch here just before Christmas. We were a large party so had to find somewhere that could cater for us all at once, we found the ideal place in the Barbacoa. The carvery that is served upstairs in a spacious room with a lovely relaxed atmosphere was fantastic. The cooking was amazing and the choice of meat and veg was more than enough for even the fussiest of eaters! The quality was far greater than any of the mass produced national chain carveries everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The service was great not at all intrusive but visible and available when needed. I am always nervous of taking a large party somewhere I would like to thank the Barbacoa for making me look really good!
Barbacoa – WaterlooWent last night and ordered the fillet steak rare for myself and wife, it arrived well done so was sent back. Our fresh steaks were brought with an apology from the chef and a glass of wine. The meal was very good and the service friendly. Again the only criticism is they cram to many tables in.
