Celebrated my Dad's 60th here a couple of weekends ago and had a great time. We had a feast and the staff coped with our large table excellently. Thank you.

Othellos – WooltonI visited this restaurant last week and although the food was ok it was fiercely expensive. although we were in a group and paid in excess of £600 for a meal they refused to give our deposit cheque back as 6 people hadn't turned up ( although they did give that table away anyway) then complained as the tip we gave wasn't enough apparently IN future ill stick to woolton.......much much better
Cafe Sekander – Mossley HillI went here for a late Sunday lunch. The menu had a great selection for a standard set menu. I went for the roast beef, the beef was amazing with great flavour the only niggle was that the roast potatoes tasted like they had been reheated and some of the vegetables were a little mushy, but the restaurant is very nice inside and i will revisit again!
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreThis is a great little place, i have been coming here for years, the only down side is that they put way too much cheese on top of the main courses such as the lasagna/cannelloni and it is so hard to digest and there is no need for it, the food is delicious without it. I wouldn't say it was authentic italian - some of the past dishes are cooked within an inch of their lives, bit for the price you pay the food is hearty and the atmosphere is excellent.
Casa Italia – Liverpool City Centrethis is seriously good, staff attentive, relaxed atmosphere, tables close together,(take note Mr-Winner).
Chilli Banana – AigburthWent to Spice Lounge for my husbands birthday on 2nd April with a couple of friends and have to say we ( all four of us ) were very disappointed , the service was poor we had to keep asking for drinks that we had previously ordered, the writing on the menu was so small we all struggled to read it and last but not least the prices charged were way over the top for the quality of the food. Also ten yes ten extra drinks were put on our bill ( I think they kept adding our reminders for drinks orders each time we asked ) either that or they thought we were all half cut from the races at Aintree. Would never go again. Very disappointed as this was supposed to be hubbies birthday treat,
Spice Lounge – Liverpool City Centrewe have been here too many times to mention, the food is outstanding and the best tapas in the northwest (at least!!!) every dish we have tried has been excellent and my five year old daughter now refuses to go anywhere else for tapas !!! she especially loves the mussels in garlic.if u love tapas you need to go here now!!!
Tapas Tapas – WaterlooI visited Esteban recently and had a brilliant time, the food was excellent, the staff very friendly (especially the charismatic Adam behind the bar). I would definitely recommend this place to friends and will almost certainly be back! Only small criticism, the hostess lady could probably do with smiling, it wouldn't kill her! (maybe she was having a bad day)
Esteban Mediterranean Tapas – AigburthWe had a great party here last week, it was my 50th birthday and I can honestly say that nothing was too much trouble for the young manager Antony and his staff. The food was to die for, it was all gorgeous, piping hot and served promptly - and there were 40 of us choosing from the main menu. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, my hubby and I came back on our own and enjoyed it just as much again, will definitely be regulars here. I didn't even mind when they played happy birthday to me !! they made my night. Thanks Antonellis xxxx
Pietra Bar and Restaurant – WaterlooHad a lovely meal recently at this excellent Italian family run restaurant in the heart of Southport. Utilising genuine Italian recipes and produce (no smelly second rate Parmesan here - only the finest Grana padano freshly ground before serving on your fresh pasta) and coupled with an excellent choice of Italian wines which have obviously been painstakingly selected, Tony's offers the finest Italian cuisine in Southport in my opinion. The menu has a fine cross section of mains and some superb seafood specials. And their homemade Pannacotta is the perfect full stop to your evening. The owners Tony & Jane are welcoming and helpful & there is a friendly informal atmosphere throughout. A++!
Tony’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria – SouthportPleasant atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and nice food at reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?!
Nine Dragons – AintreeWe have eaten here a few times lately - as a couple before our baby daughter arrived and now we go for a lunch as a family or with other families. It has always been superb with very friendly service and great food.
Sheldrakes – HeswallThis really is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, and Ive been to a few!! The food was absolutely amazing and Im not that big of a fan of Japenese food. Truly authentic, full of flavour, and reasonably priced, what more can you ask for. Me and my boyfriend went on Friday, I had mixed temperura to start, OH MY GOD !! Amazing, then sirloin steak with rice and salad. He had a soup to start and a tuna steak for his main. he said he had never tasted anything as nice! 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of Rose came to £60. I think this is excellent. I would of paid alot more as it was that good! The staff were so nice and helpful and made us feel really welcome. I cant wait to go back.
Etsu – Liverpool City CentreI go here as much as I can (twice a week) since I am a student and on a budget of £30 a week, it is a very cosy place with excellent taste in music ;D and the prices are amazing, I love watching the chef in the back cooking our food, the people there are very friendly and always smiling. Just an excellent place to go to, I'd recommend it to anyone!
Tokyou – Liverpool City CentreWe booked a table for 4 for the 29th March 09. When we arrived we were taken to our table. Our order was taken and our starters arrived quite quickly. We were given plenty of time to finish them with enough time before our main meal (very civilised). And then on to our desserts. All the food was excellent and the service superb and at a very reasonable price. All in all a nice relaxing afternoon. We will be returning soon.
Bottle And Glass – St.HelensSorry I disagree; just had the Sunday buffet and it was pretty grim.
New Peking Duck – WavertreeMyself and 3 friends had 2 courses last night and the steak was superb. I usually have well done but decided to go for medium, as the others recommended it. it was great, so juicy. compliments to the chef.
