Visited on Sat 27th Sept for my Birthday. Thought the service was awful and the food was average. Would not visit again and unless they get some new management in would not recommend.

Panoramic 34 – Liverpool City CentreI WENT TO KARMA FOR THE FIRST TIME THE OTHER NIGHT AND IT HAD COME TO MY KNOWLEDGE THAT IT HAS BEEN OPEN SINCE 2002. AFTER I LICKED MY PLATE CLEAN, I HAD REALISED THAT I HAD WASTED SIX YEARS OF MY LIFE GOING TO OTHER INDIAN RESTAURANTS IN WEST KIRBY.THERE IS ONLY ONE INDIAN RESTAURANT AND ITS CALLED ................KARMA
Karma – West KirbyI recently went to this restaurant for a lunch with a friend visiting Liverpool for the first time. The ordering system was very chaotic for such a busy place. We finally received our drinks from a very surly waitress who could barely speak English. When our food arrived, one item was not what we had ordered and the other was served without any cutlery, or offer of dressings. I was very disappointed with the experience although the food was passable.
The Quarter – Liverpool City CentreI have been here many times and yesterday was left feeling very disappointed. The service was terrible, with food shoved at you and whipped away from under your noses, without any pleasantries- not the usual standard. The food was not awful, but was also not what everyone knows is the 'usual' set by Bistro Jacques. The fishcake was bland and burnt, the sugar snap peas stringy. And the piece de resistance (normally) the Creme Brulee was old- it had split under the sugar. My friends also complained that their meals were also not of the quality that Bistro Jacques has previously met. I will return, but a shame for a restaurant that is normally so good.
Bistro Jacques – Liverpool City CentreLovely ambience and most staff very friendly - chatty without being intrusive - food lovely and well presented ......very pleasant place to spend an evening....
Devon Doorway – HeswallTo all readers what the hell are you waiting for ??? been to Surfers Restaurant twice now in two weeks on the first occasion after trawling Banks Road for something tasty to eat an appealing menu outside Surfers offering a fabulous lunchtime special of Fish and chips and be under no illusions there were no shortcuts with this dish the finest quality was given at an amazing eye popping price tag, seriously this was fabulous you must get down there the staff are wonderful the Manager welcoming and nothing to much trouble....gosh that was just a write up on lunch.....i took my family as a cheer them up treat after a bereavement in our family, and yet again we were welcomed by friendly, courteous staff, shown to our booth, myself and my brother had the new famous Hot Rock what a novelty this was i got to cook and sear my own steak and prawns from my surf an turf choice,it was fantastic, it was unique and tasty. I am in the food trade an understand and appreciate good quality fresh food, i also know when corners have been cut, but not here,Jane to you and your staff at Surfers thank you we WILL be back very soon. top marks 10/10 no doubt . Astoria – West KirbyWithout doubt the best Chinese restaurant in Liverpool try the beef and tomato in crispy rice divine, also the ribs are to die for.For lovers of soup the hot and sour really is special,as a lover of Chinese food I have tried it all over the world including Hong Kong and none beats the Yuet Ben.
Yuet Ben – Liverpool City CentreI travel to Liverpool regularly on business and came across Villa Romana whilst wandering around the city. The food and service is excellent as is the price. The restaurant is deceivingly large and can cater for large groups either upstairs or downstairs. I have visited the restaurant about 15 times now and have never been less than impressed with the food
Villa Romana – Liverpool City CentreWe visited La Tasca on Monday night prior to the theatre, on arrival we waited an age to be seated even though the restaurant was not busy. once seated we were pestered by flies! The waiter was a miserable so and so, and just about managed a grunt of a welcome! We ordered a bottle of the house red which tasted like domestos, it was undrinkable and sent back. The tapas was served with another grunt but was very nice. We did intend to have dessert but as the waiter had other things to occupy him self with, we did not have time. when the bill eventually arrived we had been charged for the domestos! When this was pointed out, guess what, more grunting. To top the evening off both of us ended up with Ghandi's revenge. Will we ever visit again? Not in this lifetime!!
La Tasca – Liverpool City Centreruined my birthday meal, rude staff, and lacklustre, bought in food. shocking
We visited this pub with friends last week and had an excellent meal - genuine fine pub grub and great atmosphere, attentive staff who made us feel very welcome and were happy to offer their recommendations.
The Royal Standard – West DerbyDined there last Sunday . Food awful Partner had Pork Rump and the squirts for 2 days!!No one there bothered to ask us how we enjoyed the meal or we would have told them. Hand cooked chips obviously reheated! Peppercorns musty! Thought it would be a little treat, not an experience i would like to repeat. I have informed friends and colleagues not to waste their money.Very disappointing!!
Pioneer Bar and Brasserie – CrosbyI had wanted to try Cafe Rouge for ages after seeing their menu online and I wasn't disappointed. Excellent service, friendly staff - I couldn't say a bad word about this place. I had the baked mushroom starter, the poulet breton for main and tarte tatin for dessert. All three courses were delicious. I would definitely go back.
Cafe Rouge – Liverpool City CentreWithout doubt the finest Chinese restaurant in the north of England. Having worked in Manchester for the past five years I've certainly been able to sample quite a lot of different restaurants in China town. I can honestly say that Mr Chans in St. Helens is better than any of them. The food is simply fantastic and Charlie is a great host. I recommend the aromatic crispy lamb with fresh ginger or the duck in Cantonese sauce.
Mr Chans – St.HelensWe had a lovely meal here one evening but we arrived quite late and it was emptying out by 9pm and so we felt like we ought to leave although is was so early. However, I love Japanese food and this place was fabulous, excellent food, service and decor was lovely, would definitely go again.
Etsu – Liverpool City CentreHad a lovely meal at this restaurant on Monday night. Shared tapas with a friend and couldn't finish the food, there was so much delivered to the table. Attentive staff, without being intrusive and a calm, friendly atmosphere. Really relaxed during my stay and will definitely be going again. Already told many friends about the place.
La Vina – Liverpool City CentreHighly recommended! The food is lovely...you can't beat the banquets. And the staff are so friendly! Plus the soundtrack to your meal is wonderful.
