Great location and good service but we found the Dim Sum very greasy and were disappointed with the quality of the food for the price.

Mei Mei – Liverpool City CentreLets get straight to the point. I've probably had better Pot Noodles. Ignore any good reviews on this restaurant because if you like Indian food well this isn't the place to go. Depending on where you are seated you might be fortunate to hear the microwave making the usual pinging noise every 5 mins. The food is utter crap. Waited 5 mins for a Tandoori Mixed starter which was pretty slow for a microwave. The waiter was miserable and I was in and out of there within 35 mins and thats including a main meal and drinks. And if your staying at the Adelphi well good for you because you won't have to go far to use the toliet. Avoid this restaurant the food is microwaved!
Uni Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreRestaurant was recommended to us and by friends who we dined with on a Saturday night. From stepping in the door until we left the staff were very attentive. Food was some of the nicest I've had in a very long while. Beef rolls to start, lamb for the main course and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. House white was very good. Only slight downside is due to the small size the noise can get quite high, so you end up chatting at volume! Also, smokers converging outside the front door and their vile stench blowing back in and over non-smokers.
Kozi – PrescotI TOOK MY FAMILY THERE ON SUNDAY FOR MY HUSBANDS 50TH BIRTHDAY. BECAUSE I HEARD IT WAS GOOD,IT WAS A DISGRACE THE POTATOES ON THREE OF OUR DINNERS WERE BURNT AND ROCK HARD.NO-ONE ASKED HOWS YOUR FOOD AT ANY TIME.AND THEY TAKE YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS BEFORE YOU HAVE EATEN.THAT SAYS ENOUGH I THINK.AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THEY CANT WAIT TO GET YOU IN GET YOUR MONEY AND GET YOU OUT I WONT BE RETURNING AGAIN .
Bottle And Glass – St.HelensWe had a beautiful meal at Puschka with four friends. The food was top class and the service was outstanding. I can't recommend it highly enough! The patron/chef is a charming guy, the waiters couldn't do enough- unable to choose between two desserts I was offered a small portion of each. The best meal I've had in Liverpool this year. Well done Puschka!
Puschka – Liverpool City Centrebeen getting take aways from here for years and always superb, forget the Spice Club, we tried it once and realised that The Surma is the best Indian for miles
Surma Tandoori Restaurant – MoretonI booked a table for myself and two friends on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately our table was right next to the front door and very cold. We asked to be moved but we were told no other tables were available also we were seated next to a very rowdy group with noisy children so the ambience was terrible. The food was spot on and very tasty but I would not go back as for that price I expect a better environment to eat in!
Il Forno – Liverpool City Centrewe went for the the wednesday day night wine offer that we had been told about by a friend and we were not disappointed the food was lovely and not very fancy just really tasty and the waiters were quite friendly too and when the bill came we were very surprised really cheap 30 quid including the tip now i can see why its so busy we'll be back soon
Bistro Pierre – Liverpool City CentreSix months on from our last visit, i'm sorry to say- it's dropped. Ok, food was fine like always Service was awful table not laid out properly waitress didn't renew water when asked, kept walking off with our glasses without asking later, kitchen staff casually drinking bottled beer in didning area to top it all, a loud C+w disco, despite being asked to tone it down, they carried on I heard later , that the owners were stillon holiday..... we emailed them direct,a few days later- no reply by the way, this was 29th sept Pull your pants up, we're upset- this was until this, a gem of a place
Marsh Cat Restaurant – Heswallvery good little Italian. modern approach fresh ingredients served with a smile. v good pasta!
Gusto Trattoria – SouthportThe restaurant has a good lively atmosphere with friendly well mannered staff. The food is excellent, averagely priced at about £15-£20 per head including starter, drink and coffee. One useful facility for a town centre establishment is a reasonable car park. I can also recommend their takeaway menu.
Kasturi Indian Cuisine – SouthportThe quarter is a brilliant place. I find myself there at least once a week. The relaxed atmosphere, the continental vibe and the quality food are all part of the experience. Also just for people put off by the wine out of tumblers, in Italy and France wine is drunk out of tumblers in most restaurants that I have visited, well at least the non tourist places anyway. So I wouldn't worry about it seeing as though the people in the know do it.
The Quarter – Liverpool City CentreThis weekend (3.11.07) was the third time we went to Kozi's restaurant in Rainhill and i have to say it just gets better. The bar on the first floor is very comfortable, the staff very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Our table was ready in about 5 mins, the food was cooked to perfection and the service outstanding. This restaurant would not be out of place in Barcelona. Highly recommended, you should pay it a visit.
Kozi – PrescotBeen here but Thomas Rigbys is much better.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreVisited for the 1st time last night had an excellent evening, food and wine were exquisite, I had the Lobster to start and Venison to follow. Only problem was there wasn't enough of it, very small portions indeed. Will be returning though.
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreMe and my girlfriend have been over 30 times this year. What more can I say!!
Tai Pan Restaurant – Liverpool City Centreso nice is the masterchefs curry that we regularly do a 12 mile round trip to get takeaways and then speed home with all the lovely smells in the car! gets your taste buds fired up! try the garlic cheese nan bread. you'll love it when you mop up the curry sauce...mmmmmmmm get their now and taste what a real curry tastes like!
