Chung Ku – ChildwallThe Egg Café has a mega relaxed atmo in unpretentious surrounds and has a long history of plenty of vegan vegetarian options. There are some simple things about The Egg that will always make it popular:- * Long open hours 7 days a week * A menu that has the offerings for vegan vegetarians clearly labelled - no wasting time asking what is and what isn’t vegan if that is your eating persuasion * Central location Lacto and ovo veggies are also catered for. I did a quick count and I reckon there is approx 30 food items on the menu board. Approx 17 of these appears to be vegan veggie friendly. Mega value for money - big portions at very reasonable prices (e.g. a fiver for a main course, a couple of quid for a bowl of soup). I personally can’t recommend the set menu; it’s remarkable value for money but it’s just too much to eat and could easily feed 2 people. I had a go at it once and afterwards I was so full I thought I was about to explode - never again. If you like to eat huge then the set menu is for you. The Egg is located close to both Central and Lime St stations for any visitors to the city. Compared with the Green Fish Cafe (just round the corner) The Egg attracts a crowd that is generally younger and a bit more alternative and with a bigger percentage of students. The Egg has expanded and now has extra seating upstairs. Take your pick from the mix of long communal type tables or the smaller tables for 4 that The Egg has always offered. Suggested improvements:- I'd personally prefer if they didn't use the microwave to heat some of the food. Overall:- The Egg is something of a vegetarian icon in Liverpool. If you are in central Liverpool the long opening hours of this café are just superb. The menu content and labelling make it a clear statement that if you are a vegan veggie then you are more than welcome at The Egg.
The Egg Vegetarian Restaurant and Cafe – Liverpool City CentreWe were informed that there was and never has been a childrens or 'Little Gringos' menu and there was no possibility of a smaller sized portion for our 9 year old. This was disappointing and in fact we thought the starters were generous but the main course portion sizes were small for the price so we could have been advised on a suitable combination. No drinks service was forthcoming so we had to fetch our own from the bar. Also after making a choice from the tequila menu we were told they only had 2 types in, one of which wasn't on the menu. However the food itself was lovely and the ambiance great even on a Monday night. We had a nice time for a birthday meal but felt that there could be more flexibility for kids/lighter eaters.
Que Pasa Cantina – AigburthThe food and presentation was excellent, no complaints only praise for the restaurant! Great customer service we will be coming back on many more occasions.
Queens Royal Restaurant and Steak Bar – Wallaseyi always go to tapas tapas as my boyfriend is a chef and the food is just amazing, i would recommend the chicken salad, so just try it it for yourself you will be amazed
Tapas Tapas – WaterlooI arrived at 6pm with a group of 5 adults and 3 children, they wanted to put us on two tables separated. It was against there policy to put two tables together! asked to speak to duty manager, he couldn't be found. Finally just moved everyone to corner table and squashed in off my own bat. Staff nice, food on the little side (but then I'm a pig)prices excellent especially if you go before 6.30 pm for 1/3 off.
Derby Pool Harvester – WallaseyThe surroundings of the Chung Ku are pleasing to the eye, with the views to the sea front as spectacular as you will see. The food and service is very good although I felt the choice of dishes on the menu a little limited and catered for the western palate instead of being authentic chinese food. Better choices are available at the Mei Mei or Tai Pan, although the food here is just as good.
Chung Ku – Liverpool City CentreWe came from Oslo to Liverpool and we had an amazing time in the monro. The food and service was excellent!! Highly recommended. We can't wait to be back again. thanks again.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreEat at the Spice Garden at least once a month for the buffet,(Sun,Thur), or from the menu, food is always outstanding along with the service. Well done to Campbell and the staff.
Spice Garden – HeswallWe went to this place with hesitance when we walked in it was like walking into a old persons home but because of the reviews on here we gave it a go , what a mistake that was , the food was glorified pub grub at best the chips where from the freezer as well as the roast potatoes , the rib eye steak was tasteless and the carrots and peas where not very nice , the bread rolls where the cheapest you can buy like co op buns , and after several hours of leaving the place we both felt very sick ,indeed
The Charcoal Grill – St.HelensWe went to this restaurant as it was recommended by a work colleague who is originally from India. The food was fantastic and you can get a good house wine at £9.00 per bottle. We are going back to this restaurant as the food was excellent and service friendly.
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreI HAVE RECENTLY REVISITED THIS RESTAURANT FOR MY THIRD TIME AND AS USUAL THE ATMOSPHERE WAS VERY GOOD. THE STAFF ARE EXCELLENT BETTER THAN ANY RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN TO BEFORE. THE MANAGER WHO I BELIEVE IS MEXICAN DESERVES A PAT ON THE BACK FOR RUNNING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND MAKING OUR TIME THERE VERY SPECIAL AS IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY. I FELT AS THOUGH I WAS ON HOLIDAY IN SPAIN CELEBRATING MY BIRTHDAY THE FOOD THERE IS OF A HIGH STANDARD AND THEY HAVE A WIDE CHOICE OF WINES. WHICH WASH DOWN THE TAPAS VERY WELL.

Tapas Tapas – WaterlooIt is unusual to find such quality of cuisine these days let alone at the prices Colours charge. The staff are attentive and keen to please. Coupled with an extensive wine list at sensible money this place really does take some beating.
Colours Restaurant – St.HelensDelicious Southern Indian food, quite different to the usual curries and much less oily, quite a bit drier with lots of coconut based dishes. Different menu to the typical UK curry house - but good meat and veggie options. Quietly friendly staff. Good city centre alternative to the Master Chef
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreThe Tai Pan is an excellent restaurant, it caters for small or large parties and the staff are great if you have kids. We now eat there whenever we want Chinese food as it cannot be beaten. Would definitely recommend to others.
Tai Pan Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreProbably the best all round curry experience in Liverpool. Why?: The friendliest staff The most unpretentious atmosphere and environment. Brilliant curry - sag paneer, chicken tika Jalfezie and Korahi are top notch Consistently excellent (something that trips many of the other curry houses up) Relaxed diverse clientele and family friendly approach. i.e. not full of just bevied up lads in shirts Really cheap Even cheaper because of it has a bring your own ale policy When I visit I feel like I'm returning home. Vimto lollypops at the end of every meal The name - The Master Chef.
Master Chef Tandoori Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreThis is one for special occasions, really amazing interior. Food on the expensive side, though a member of our party said that the fish and chips were "the best he'd ever had" not bad going from a man who lives in a seaside town!
