Myself and friends dined at Marantos recently and were most impressed. The food and menu choice was excellent; the ribs were to die for! The service was quick and efficient; we had a thoroughly enjoyable night.

Maranto’s Restaurant – AigburthThis is a great restaurant which I will be returning to as soon as possible! The food was excellent. I had the haddock soup starter which had huge chunks of fish in it and was of such quality and quantity that it threatened to ruin my appetite for my mains! My partner had the chilli prawns they were cooked to perfection and were infused with lovely flavours. Of the mains, I had the one of the specials: lamb with a sweet potato rosti. It looked small on a enormous plate but looks were deceiving. The lamb was tender and delicious, the rosti was an unusual accompaniment I felt but it worked really well. My partner had the burritos which were raved about. Both of us struggled to finish. We both enjoyed our free bottle of wine which was courtesy of this site. The margaritas were lovely yet expensive (3.95 each!) However the meals themselves were not expensive for such quality. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. It was nearly full though a lot of people there were mainly just drinking at the bar! This restaurant is a welcome addition to the many eateries at Lark Lane. All I can say is go as soon as you can!
Que Pasa Cantina – AigburthFriendly little brasserie, great service. Food delicious. Bit warm inside but tables to sit at outside on hot nights!
Puschka – Liverpool City CentreI went here with a group of friends and we all thought the food was excellent. The garlic bread is fab! The cocktails are also great and the perfect way to end a fantastic meal.
Maranto’s Restaurant – AigburthOne of our favourite eating placeshave been coming here since it opened - surprised we haven't been barred. Anyway - you could not do better - believe us

Light Of Bengal – AigburthFollowing the excellent reviews here, I took my wife to Spire last night, and was not disappointed! We had the early menu (Mon-Thurs before 7:30pm) and both had 3 courses for £15. The service was genuinely friendly and polite throughout as well as being fast and efficient. The food was truly exceptional. It would rank in my top 5 eating out experiences in terms of the quality of the food. And every dish looked just as good as mine. Even at normal prices this would be worth every penny, and with the early menu this has to be one of the best quality/value ratios in all of Liverpool. But don't take my word for it, check it out yourself!
Spire – Wavertreedegseysmallson my first visit to fraiche I have to say that the food was good, cooked by a confident chef who knows what he's doing, although I thought the bread was one of the more memorable parts of the meal. But all this talk of Michelin could backfire for various reasons (it took me back to my last dentist visit) to sum up the atmosphere, and those poor girls must be exhausted everyday getting up for school. This restaurant needs a (face) to take you through your evening and get the vibe in check, so that the overall experience is one to remember (and if Michelin do arrive, girls polenta is definitely not a vegetable!!!!!!!!!!
Fraiche Restaurant – OxtonWent to Piccolino? on 27 June with a party of 10. We where very well received from the moment we entered the place, the food was excellent, I?e described it as pricey by way of a compliment and it is more than justified when you consider the surroundings , decor and staff. The food was fantastic and attention to detail faultless, the restaurant was 3/4 full but despite this the service was swift and professional. Would highly recommend for any occasion and will be going back on a regular basis from now on.
Piccolino – Liverpool City CentreI?e gone Retsinas for years and the food and service is excellent. Great for a local restaurant.
Retsina Greek Restaurant – West DerbyMamma Mia's Pizzeria is a pleasure to visit. The food is consistent on every occasion. The staff are friendly and efficient. Value for money is absolutely brilliant and I recommend it highly.
Mamma Mia Pizzeria – SouthportWhen you compare this restaurant with others in the locality, you can be certain that the food and the service will be to ones satisfaction. The early doors menu is good and the menu is very clear about any extras. I have always found 107 Dinning Room never to disappoint
107 Dining Room – HeswallExcellent service as always, the new free WiFi broadband access has made business lunch a pleasure. I bring all my clients here. Excellent!
La Vina – Liverpool City CentreExcellent food - I visit Crete every year to stay with friends and the starters served here are exactly the same as the real thing in Crete. The fish was cooked beautifully and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.
Lefteris Greek Taverna – Mossley HillI went to this restaurant and I was very pleased with it I really enjoyed my meal and I would really like to go again the only criticism I would give it is that the meal and drinks was a bit pricey and I would have normally took more money
Piccolino – Liverpool City CentreI visited Othello's on a Fathers day Sunday evening with my partner, who was a bit dubious to try Greek food but he decided to give it a go. As soon as we walked in the atmosphere was lovely. There was a lot of families and couples enjoying their meals whilst traditional Greek music played in the background and all the tables were candlelit and really well presented. The waiter came over with our menus and was really friendly and helpful, explaining exactly what accompanied each dish. For starters I chose the king prawns in garlic sauce with pitta bread and tahini sauce, my partner chose a thick Greek vegetable soup with garlic bread. All the starters were faultless and beautifully well presented. Once we had finished the waiter promptly came to take the plates and asked if we were ready for the main course or if we would like a break. I was really pleased that we had the option, as some restaurants rush you. We decided that we were ready because neither of us could wait to taste the main courses! My partner played it safe with a steak and i chose a chicken kebab. Both dishes came with rice, salad and thick cut potatoes that were delicious and again, were wonderfully presented. We also ordered a side order of creamy Aphrodite sauce which complemented both meals beautifully. My partner said his steak was one of the best he had ever tasted and my cubes of chicken melted in my mouth. It was fantastic food, really authentic and it filled us up nicely. All in all it was a wonderful dining experience and we will most certainly be visiting again. I was also pleasantly surprised at the bill, for all our food and 2 soft drinks, it came to £41. It was well worth it and we left a generous tip to show our appreciation. If you are looking for fantastic food in a nice area at a reasonable price visit Othello's. 10/10.
Othellos – WooltonMy girlfriend and I visited Tapas Tapas last night and we were both very impressed with what was on offer. We have both been to La Tasca and La Vina and feel that Tapas Tapas can certainly match these two establishments with regards to quality of food. With certain dishes Tapas Tapas can actually outdo both La Tasca and La Vina. Although we never booked we arrived early enough to be accommodated. Any later and we would have struggled. This is a very popular little tapas bar so either arrive early or book in advance. A number of people were turned away last night due to being very busy. We were very impressed with the food (most notably the Pollo y patatas en salsa verde...superb!), the atmosphere was very vibrant and the cost was more than modest. Overall a very enjoyable experience that I will certainly be revisiting again in the near future.
