I had a lovely past dish but let's be honest, pasta is very cheap to produce so I consider it all to be over priced. The only difference here is the unusual choice of sauces and they do taste good.

Gusto – Liverpool City CentreI ate in the brassiere on Friday 20th for the first time and was a little disappointed with the food. Having chosen the mushroom on toast starter I was served mushroom on bread, and the green curry was a little bland. Having said that though, my girlfriends meal was superb so perhaps just a poor choice on my part... the food not the girl!
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreTasty, well presented food -with a great choice of interesting dishes. Great service and good choice of drinks. The combination of bar and restaurant provides a lively atmosphere without too much excess noise. Finally, the dark oak and natural brickwork interior provides a calming and relaxed ambience.
Que Pasa Cantina – AigburthThe food was great and served very promptly. And those booths are something special. Only let down was staff friendliness. It wouldn't be too hard for them to smile a little; they always seemed distracted and uninterested.
Uni Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreFirst time Ive been here. Chose from the £12.95 set menu (Saturday before 5pm) The food was excellent, as was the wine. A stylish restaurant, which I will definitely be visiting again.
Auberge Brasserie – SouthportI chose to take my girlfriend to La Vina before whisking her away to the Palace Empire to see a show. The setting is as authentic as we have in England, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was very good and far surpassed the La Tasca chain which where highlighted as distinctly average in comparison and more expensive to boot. I would highly recommend this restaurant, the food is excellent as are the waiting staff and all for around £50 for two people.
La Vina – Liverpool City CentreUnquestionably the finest food in the North West. We have now been three times - having the Ala Carte and the tasting. This tiny - quite hard to find place towers above anything on Merseyside, Cheshire, Wirral (think its restaurant of the year in Cheshire?) - the textures and tastes are exquisite and accessible. Having eaten in several Michelin's this place surely will be amongst the new ones. It has 3 AA's. Part of me wants it to remain a wee secret but it cant for long.
Fraiche Restaurant – OxtonLovely atmosphere with helpful staff. Delicious, tasty food - so much so we returned the following week!!! Made our way through the beer menu - would recommend the Brazilian Brahma.
Que Pasa Cantina – AigburthGlad to see a fantastic new addition to Lark Lane. The outstanding food and very attentive staff makes this a fantastic night out. Will definitely be back to sample both the extensive food and beer menus!! 10 out of 10! Highly recommended.
Que Pasa Cantina – AigburthWe had an excellent family meal, just after Christmas. We were a party of 12 but nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very helpful. It was the best part of our Christmas. Well done. We will be back!
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreThe food is superb and the staff are extremely welcoming and provide an excellent service. There is so much to choose from you will find it hard to pick something.
Que Pasa Cantina – AigburthWe visit at least once a month and are always made very welcome. We recommend the vegetarian banquet but with a fish curry. Delicious.
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreI love it here I eat here whenever I fancy Italian! Its fab the choice on the menu is amazing and I love the fact they do all the pasta dishes in starter portions incase the normal portions are too much!
Villa Romana – Liverpool City CentreI would highly invite anyone to visit this outstanding Restaurant. The owner Jimmy is one of the nicest fellas i have ever met and always goes out of his way to help you, give it a visit, am sure you will go again.
Chung Lok Chinese Restaurant – BootleNot eaten here yet, we have only been in for drinks but this place is superb. Service is friendly but not obtrusive. The sofas are so so so comfortable, you could fall asleep in them - and from all reports the food is great too.
St John Restaurant at the Sir Thomas Hotel – Liverpool City CentreGood place to go for quick meal. Average pricing and attentive staff. Food is very nice. Would recommend the early menu.
Fung Lok – Mossley HillI can only say this was a pure dinning experience with excellent service and the finest ingredients used. Both my wife and our friends had a truly gastro delight and all washed down with some sumptuous wine. This is an excellent restaurant and relatively inexpensive considering the quality, surely it wont be long before a Michelin star comes a knocking on the door.
Fraiche Restaurant – OxtonThe interior was outstanding, the service excellent. The seating could have been better as the chairs are to low down for the tables. Reading the menu in the low lighting was extremely difficult if not impossible. Ladies wearing long dresses or coats beware on climbing the candlelit staircase where open candles were burning on each step.
