Seven Stars Inn – HeswallThis is the best roast dinner I have ever tasted, even better than my mum's. And the price was outstanding. Highly recommended for families.
Greenhill Toby Restaurant – Mossley HillBoth my date and I had a fantastic evening. Both the food and the ambience were perfect, and the staff were very attentive without being overbearing. I will be recommending to friends. My only wish is that I could do it more often, but it was such a special evening that I would only return with the same company.
Sheldrakes – HeswallHaving been to Jalons several times, I always fine the food and service amazing. The staff are always lovely, even when they are really busy. The staff behind the bar often have to manage huge orders and washing glasses at the same time. Paul, the resident pianist, is amazing, and if you ever dine there, which I hope you will, request American Pie because he sings it very very well!
Jalons – WavertreeIt? a lovely place to eat very pleasant surroundings. Food is better than average and the service is excellent. I really enjoy visiting this restaurant a real flavour of Cyprus!!
Othellos – WooltonI have eaten here on a regular basis since it opened and have recently noticed that the usually high standards are slipping. Not sure why this is happening, but it is disappointing as it all started so promisingly. There is no doubting its popularity. Its location, ambience, food and prices all add up and have made it one of the culinary hotspots in the city centre. It is just a pity that some staff are not as helpful and efficient as they could be. Also, the management has recently introduced some bizarre policies. For example, you can no longer order an aperitif at the bar without having to pay for it there and then. Another irritation is on recent visits waiters consistently over filling wine glasses and then asking if we want another bottle.
Piccolino – Liverpool City CentreI have been to the PTI quite a few times now and although the decor and ambience are okay the quality of the food is only average. The pickles that you get with poppadoms are very good but I have had Chicken Madras twice and both times it has been very watery and thin. On my last visit I had Chicken Sag Wala and this was pretty bland. The other people I was with all had different meals but you couldnt really tell becaues they were all the same consistency and taste. The rice is nice and they also do large bottles of cobra.
A Passage To India – Liverpool City CentreThis is quite simply the best indian restaurant in liverpool. I have been here many, many times and can quite honestly say i have never had a bad meal. The pappadoms and pickles are execellent, chicken madras superb, special pilau rice nice and they also serve draft cobra which is a bit pricey at £2.90 a pint but worth it. It is a bit of a student hangout but dont hold that against it as it caters to everyone. The decor is a bit seventies style but i think this adds to its appeal. Go there and you wont be dissapointed.
Royal Tandoori Restaurant – WavertreeThis is quite simply the best indian restaurant in liverpool. I have been here many, many times and can quite honestly say i have never had a bad meal. Royal Tandoori Restaurant – WavertreeThe atmosphere in the restaurant and views were stunning. The staff were great, we never needed to ask for anything. A real romantic night out out which will be remembered forever.
Sheldrakes – HeswallGood choice from a la carte or Table d'Hote menus with a good range of meat. fish or vegetarian selections all cooked to order and served in a relaxed manner. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Most enjoyable.
Holiday Inn Express Hoylake – HoylakeThe best kept secret in Wirral. The food cooked by Tony is consistantly excellent. They make all spring rolls dim sum etc themselves:no supermarket stuff! We have been going for over 15 years now & staff & customers are now like friends.Nancy & Tony treat you like house guests, not just customers.
Chinese Kitchen – WallaseyExtremely friendly, great atmosphere, delicious food (try the pork fillet with black pudding and pears AND then the white chocolate baked cheesecake - mmmm!) We'll be back!
Puschka – Liverpool City CentreGreat food, you don't have to wait too long either. The ribs are fab!
Wongs Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreVery. Very good!
Bakers Dozen – BootleI have been about five times and the atmosphere there is indescribable. I have been to many 2 for 1 pubs but this one has the added warm feeling together with the usually low price
Bakers Dozen – BootleAfter our first visit with the whole family, we can thoroughly recommend Damon's. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff are friendly and efficient. It is nice that the restaurant is totally smoke free. One word of caution, if you don't like being surrounded by children, book a table towards the later part of the evening. Some parents ignore the posted signs, and do not adequately supervise their youngsters.
Damons – Mossley HillI entered this establishment for the first time last friday, on my 60th wedding anniversary. There were a couple of lovely chaps working here who helped me to my seat, as i am frail. They gave great service, although the price of the food was too expensive for me, as i am only on a state pension. Some of the food got caught in my dentures, as it was a bit chewy, but it tasted nice. the ambience was okay, though i dont like pop music. a bit of mozart would have been nice. an easy place to go to, and the gentlemen staff were nicely attentive, so they must like old people like me.
