Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreI visited Piccolino's for the first time last night; my husband took me for my birthday meal. It was a wonderful choice with top quality food that evidently used the freshest of ingredients and service that was attentive and aware of our needs without being pushy or intrusive. For starters my husband had a selection of breads with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, I asked for a small portion of the wild mushroom risotto (available as a main) which was perfectly cooked and delicately flavoured without being bland. For our main course my husband chose the crispy duck which he raved about (although not particularly a duck lover I tried this and found it quite tasty too), I selected chicken stuffed with smoked ham and mozzarella on a bed of sweet peppers and can heartily recommend this. We both had the garlic and rosemary roast new potatoes as a side. For pudding we both had the chocolate nemesis, which is a warm and gooey chocolate pudding served with almond ice-cream sat on biscotti......this was so yummy words can not describe it! We also shared a serving of the tiramisu, this was divine, the marscapone having being whipped to a light fluffy texture it wasn't heavy like I have found it to be elsewhere.
Piccolino – Liverpool City Centrea place Liverpool has needed for a long time. A great night, couldn't fault it. Peter Glover, TM3.
Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreOne of the best kept secrets in Liverpool. With an extensive menu, friendly, efficient staff, and whilst it is still lesser known a great relaxing ambience. Definitely my vote for the Indian Restaurant of the North West. Simon Liverpool.
Light Of Bengal – AigburthAs a visitor to Greece many times and in the know about Greek culture and especially foods from Greece I believe I have found my little Greek Paradise on Allerton road. The staff are very welcoming and the music and decor of the restaurant really brings back cherished memories of holidays in Greece. The menu at lefteris is exceedingly mouthwatering with so many tempting dishes to satisfy many tastes whether you like meat, vegetarian or fish there is plenty too choose from. The food tastes sensational and is a big hit with the rest of my family too. Very highly recommended.
Lefteris Greek Taverna – Mossley Hillexcellent on all counts, a night to remember!!
Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreI like the way they helped me with my request for gluten-free food.
Oriental Delight – HeswallGood food and cheerful, competent staff. Good place for kids, some of whom need greater parental care!!
Gusto – HeswallI regularly go to Ego for a girls night out every couple of months and I can honestly say I have never had a meal that has been anything less than perfect. The service is always spot on, and is friendly and attentive, even when it is busy. We have never been rushed to order or to vacate our table I would thoroughly recommend it.
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – HeswallSimply excellent. Food, service, setting, price. Perfect. 11/10.
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreAn excellent restaurant in Liverpool. Nice setting, Service is good and waiters know the dishes well and eager to explain to customer. Food is fantastic, from pre-starter to dessert, from the looking to the taste is perfect and professional. The dessert is even better. The wine list is amazing, there are lots of choice of wine, fine wine and fortify around the world, with 20 of them in glass, dozen of half bottles and magnums, sure you can find one to match your dishes. The price is not cheap but it worth more. I have been there 3 time in 2 months. About 50 quid per head, included 3-courses meal, glass of wine, and coffee.
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreGreat stuff! I would recommend the pepper steak to anyone, my only regret is that I headed back down to London before I could go again.
Fung Lok – Mossley HillExcellent food and lovely staff! We will go back again =)
The Monro – Liverpool City CentrePrice wise if you go for the teatime special you can't lose, it is excellent value for money and the food is outstanding. Go any other times though and make sure you have just been paid as it can be quite expensive. i have spent close to a hundred quid for a meal for two, nothing fancy either. The drinks are VERY expensive with a glass of wine in the £5 region. Service is good and atmosphere is good as it is always busy, a bit small, but if it is really busy they open upstairs, cutting you off from the ambience a bit. A nice restaurant, but only go at teatime!
Marsh Cat Restaurant – HeswallThis is by far the best Indian restaurant in Merseyside, the only other better Indians in the UK are in Bradford or Manchester (a bit far too go) Food is awesome, verytasty, great ingredients, freshly prepared and plenty of it! I am always surprised when the bill comes, expect about £15 -£20 per head with a couple of drinks, a starter, main, rice, poppadoms, Naan etc... Excellent!
Heswall Tandoori – HeswallExcellent food, nice atmosphere, meditteranean decor, big wooden tables upstairs, nice bar, good service. What more can I say? The variety of food is varied but not too outlandish, comfortable waiting time between courses, no hurry but not slow, a great place to go and a great area within a short driving distance of some nice places to go in the daytime or nearby pubs of an evening.
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – Heswallmost delicious food in impeccable surroundings. lovely decor, relaxing and friendly. nothing was too much trouble for the staff. a beautiful historic building.
