A little gem tucked away from the bustle of Trafalgar Square. The setting was lovely and the staff very attentative. Lovely food and a relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely revisit.

National Dining Rooms – Covent GardenDropped in here for a meal before seeing Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre with a view to test-driving their steaks. How much better were they really going to be than prime fillet from your local butcher? It’s a basement location with a greeter at ground level, a downstairs bar and then through to the ‘industrial chic’ dining room. The (English) barmaid was a real misery, deliberately avoiding any kind of eye contact, whereas our (Portuguese) waiter was very friendly and attentive. The wines seemed reasonable for London and the steak was frankly good but not great. Tender as you would expect but the outside of our medium rare Chateaubriand was charred to the point where it just tasted unpleasantly burnt and at £84.50 for 650g you expect slightly better. Great atmosphere though.
Hawksmoor – Covent GardenHad such a tasty dinner here last week with my family. The food was amazing! I had the Pad thai, which was cooking to perfection. The service was great, had a really friendly waitress who made our evening. Overall, had such a lovely meal out with my family and will be back in the new year!
SUDA Thai – Covent GardenNice mix of people, nice atmosphere to hang out with friends. Plus the drinks and music is always a plus point here.
Tamarai – Covent GardenA testament to Nando's that when in Covent Garden we tried to hunt out one of their restaurants and found this one. We had our baby with us and wanted somewhere with good filling food, where the ambience would potentially drown out the noise of our crying baby. We love the consistency of Nando's. Always the same standard and quality!
Nando’s – Covent GardenHad a great meal whilst in LDN on Biz recently. 2 of us thoroughly enjoyed the Thalis we had and the decor, atmosphere and staff were all great! I now know where to get great value Indian food when I next visit. Cheers
Masala Zone – Covent GardenIt was my 25th birthday and I booked the much talked about lotus lounge for a private get together with my close friends. We were 26 of us and everything at tamarai was beyond expectations. The music was just amazing with the DJ playing my favourite music as per request.. the food was awesome and my friends were all praise about my party. The pan-asian food, cocktails and the elaborate wine-list, everything decided as per my wish , this was just the perfect personalised birthday party i could have and best part that it was all worth the price i payed. So I'm sure many more parties to come at this happening place. Definitely recommend tamarai to everyone.!!
Tamarai – Covent GardenVery disappointing at this restaurant. Service was poor, and the food was not up to the standard of other La Tasca's. We removed our discretionary service charge and went away hungry
La Tasca – Covent GardenI went here on Friday night with 6 friends, when we arrived we were seated and asked what we would like to drink, everyone had different drinks I opted for the raspberry mohito which was amazing. There was so much to choose from on the menu, it took us all ages to decide what we wanted. In the end everyone decided, we ordered starters & then I chose the peaking pizza for main. This had roasted duck, with cucumber and spring onion with hoi sin sauce on the base. So tasty. To end I had the warm waffle. This topped the meal off WOW
Fire and Stone – Covent GardenThe food was without a doubt the best meal I've had in London all year. (and I eat out regularly!) I had the salmon steak with tiger prawns and my friend had the Seabass. Brilliant. The live music by the pianist was also especially grea throughout the meal. Went down to the club after for some fantastic cocktails and a lot of dancing - brilliant!
Ruby Blue – Covent GardenGood fresh food cooked to prefection. Very nice variety of fish and Lovely Cooked steaks and pies.
Essex Serpent, The – Covent GardenI've had Sunday Lunch here twice in the last year. It's good pub food, reasonably priced, and right by Covent Garden. It gets really busy and you have to wait for a table to come free and then get to it before anybody else does! Which can be a bit of a hassle. They were serving hot mulled wine when I was there in December 2006. Very nice!
Nags Head – Covent GardenWe visited this central Covent Garden restaurant on 2nd May 2007 and it took me and my 3 friends THIRTY MINUTES to choose a pizza. There are about 12 starters to choose from and over 40 pizzas! We were very impressed at the decor, the service was excellent and the choice of pizza toppings was fantastic. London prices, but excellent atmosphere! Highly recommended.
Fire and Stone – Covent GardenWe visited this restaurant on 3rd May 2007 as we needed a cheapish tea before catching the train back up North. They offer 2 courses for £8.90 and 3 courses for £9.90. The menu was Mediterranean and lots to choose from. We had three courses and the food was tasty, perfect portions, proper home-made Spanish/green style. Central Covent Garden location. Really nice! The waiters were attentive, very good choice.
Bistro 1 – Covent GardenThis restaurant is amazing! Not only is the actual venue stunningly designed but it is such an original venue and the menu is to die for. Go to the place and judge it for yourself. I promise you won? be disappointed!
Fire and Stone – Covent GardenHad a wonderful meal on the terrace on a lovely summer evening. Food was delicious, chocolate soup was to die for! Staff very friendly and attentive. The place to go this summer!
Cafe Des Amis – Covent GardenA group of us went for an evening tapas, the food was brought out periodically, the service was very slow due to it being a Saturday night, the sangria was delicious but we left tipsy and hungry
La Tasca – Covent GardenMy absolute favourite. I've been frequenting this restaurant since my student days and I don't think I've ever been disappointed. Great food, always well prepared, friendly, welcoming service (I always get recognised which is nice) and the prices are not central London rip off.
Boulevard Brasserie – Covent Garden
