Best Ethiopian restaurant in London! The food and Customer service , the music everything love it.....
Menelik – IslingtonThis place is simply fantastic. Great Thai food, superb cocktails and a buzzing atmosphere. A must try for everybody...I know i will definitely be going back!
XOXO Bar & Restaurant – IslingtonA chain (though not large) which has great choice and fabulous taste. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the Wild Boar and Chorizo burger was to die for. Great fun for all at a very reasonable price.
Browns – IslingtonI lived in Islington for 3 years without knowing this place existed before being told about it by a friend. I consider this 3 wasted years of my life. The food is sensational - delicate and fragrant, with some dishes combining 5 different flavours in one mouthful. I recommend the Lamb Rajastani starter followed by the Tok Jal Misti (sp?). Food heaven. The owner is one of the most charismatic and fun people you will meet. I took my parents there twice while they were down in London, and they now request we go back to see him every time they come down. It's BYO and the food is exceptional value.
Spices – IslingtonWent to Bacchus last week, what a great place. Bubbly atmosphere, excellent food, and spot on service. well worth a visit to this edgy area
Bacchus Pub & Kitchen – IslingtonWatered cocktails, £3.00 for nice homemade chips, expecting a nice portion but only got about 5 in a tall glass? whats that about.. £2.00 for a can of coke, had a steak fajitas but plastic cheese and store bought guacamole. Long wait between starter and main and staff had poor understanding of English Avoid it, too expensive for what it is.
Desperados – IslingtonAbsolutely the worst experience I have ever had. A large group of us had a reservation later in the night at this "cocktail bar" according to their signs and menus, most of us wanted to eat but some people had come from other places and weren't too hungry right away. They brought drinks out right away (pitchers completely filled with ice) but didn't have enough glasses so we literally waited over 40 minutes for everyone to get glasses. One person ordered water from three different people and after over an hour, never got it. They never even got around to everyone to ask them what they wanted. Instead, they flipped out at the first people who said they weren't ordering a main, actually yelling at people. I've never seen such rude staff, and the manager was even worse. We were planning to be there for 2-3 hours, drinking who knows how much, and eating who knows how many mains, starters, etc. Instead, they asked us to leave because not every person was immediately ordering starters and mains. AVOID this place.
Desperados – IslingtonJust came back from this place and needed to vent so here I am. It is my birthday and my girlfriend wanted to treat me! You may of had a fantastic meal here, the food wasn't that bad - but tonight the service really let them down and as a result we will not be going back and urge you not to take the chance! We walked into a half empty restaurant and were seated crammed between 2 full tables of 6. when asked if we could move we were told NO. (we should have left then). They then said we could move to another table as soon as somebody else went - so we continued to order our starter. Our starter arrived - and the other table left we moved onto their table only to be told half way through the move that we couldn't go there. We eventually were moved to yet another table, and as we sat down our half eaten starter was taken away - when we asked where it had gone they presented our main course! Ridiculous! We finished our meal and asked for the bill. The bill arrived with the service charge added. when we said that we were happy to pay for the meal but not the added tip. we were then told we had to pay for it and the manager came over, after 5mins of talking with a confrontational manager we left.
Desperados – IslingtonI think Rodizio Rico is a great restaurant and really hope they open one in Manchester soon. The food and service was of an extreme high standard. I would give 5 stars
Rodizio Rico – IslingtonThis is a horrible restaurant. The service was slow. The waiters were rude. Seats were uncomfortable. Overpriced food. When my food arrived, it was the wrong one and I had to send it back. And after all this, I got the bill only to find "service" was included! What a joke. Avoid at all costs. There are lots of restaurants in Upper St. They are all better than this one.
Rabieng Thai Restaurant – IslingtonTerrible dinner
Pasha – IslingtonThis was the best Indian meal that I have probably ever had, we will be back on our next visit to London.
Spices – IslingtonWow This place is really the place to be again. Was here last year but there is a massive difference, The service was out of this world and the music was fab 2. great drinks and the food i must say was quick and tasty overall a great place to come for a drink, a meal or to have a couple on a fri or sat with friends.
The Slug and Lettuce – IslingtonAnother great find. Have been to this restaurant 3 times, Fantastic. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful explaining what is on offer. The servers are well versed as they glide between the tables with each skewer of meat for you to try, by the way, this keeps coming until you say stop!!!! Great food and a Very entertaining evening Plus you can always boast of having a "Brazilian" with out the pain. Enjoy
Rodizio Rico – Islingtonthis restaurant is my favorite and will recommend to everyone. food, service, price everything was perfect. i will be going there again and again.
La Petite Auberge – IslingtonAuthentic risottos and pizzas. Excellent, real Italian food at a modest price. Noisy and often long lines, but seats are set well apart from each other. Still tasting that risotto!
Pizzeria Oregano – IslingtonA frequent this cafe with my work colleagues, the curries are exceptionally good and very inexpensive. The staff are friendly and professional. Pop by the Alwyne opposite for a drink on your way home - a perfect night out for cheap!
Thai Corner Cafe – IslingtonGood vibe, recommend the Calamari. Gets really busy at weekends. Average price.
