Piccadilly Restaurant – SohoThis pub has just undergone a massive refurbishment, and been restored to its former glory as a Victorian gin palace. It now serves amazing food and has a wine list of over 350 bins.. If you haven't been yet..go go go (but book..its getting busy)
Princess Victoria – West LondonSalvador & Amanda (as in Dali & his muse Amanda Lear) aims to bring a touch of ‘the real Spain’ to town. Unfortunately, it’s more Costa del Sol than Real Madrid, the gothic surroundings looking shabby after heavy wear & tear & the cocktails unevenly executed. Better to stick to sangria pitchers at £13 (or £18 for a deluxe Cava version), beers such as trusty San Miguel & the concise wine list that includes a 2001 Ochoa Tempranillo as house Rioja. Decently-done tapas provide sustenance for it all: pan-seared oysters with button mushrooms in garlic, sea bass served with chorizo potatoes, tuna carpaccio & tortilla are all present & correct. Seriously, who doesn't love tapas? They're so delicious and convenient, what's not to love? And nobody makes yummy, robust, bite-sized specialities quite like the Spanish. Tasty, convenient and oh-so-fun tapas is as much a culture as a cuisine. Whether for two or the whole gang, tapas always, ALWAYS goes down well. On that note, we introduce Salvador and Amanda: London’s hottest tapas restaurant and bar. Located in the heart of theatre-land, it is the number one venue for drinking, dancing and tasty tid-bits. In addition, this lively venue have just introduced ‘Mix-it-Mondays’ (starting on the 7th July). This is a whole new twist on traditional dating. Every Monday night up to 4 couples can participate in the master class and learn how to mix a mojito like a master, or become a connoisseur of the ciapriniahs! Couples will watch talented mixologists demonstrate how to make the cocktails to perfection before getting behind the bar themselves and attempting to re-create their preference! Booking slots are 7pm, 8pm and 9pm each Monday. At £10 per head for a 30 minutes session, booking in advan ce is essential as these session fill up fast! You will make three cocktails each (great for a tenna). So if you’re struggling for ideas for an impressive date, this is perfect for breaking the ice or, as this is available for up to 8 people, for a small hen night party. Further, couples gets 10% off their food bill should the date go well and they want to eat at the tapas bar after their mixology sesh. How can you argue with that?
Salvador and Amanda – HolbornThe food is always good with quick and friendly service and value for money
Mimos Cafe – Bayswater and Paddingtonsuperb place, try the set lunch for only £6.95, excellent value
Shikara – FitzroviaProbably the best curry i have had in decades... i am a curry fanatic and have been round the world tasting the vast arrays of curry on offer from various Indian restaurants... this one beats the rest... definitely going back there.. and remember the curry is claimed by the staff to be the lowest in Brick Lane and it surely is ... too good to be true but is... try it
Aladdin – East Londonwell what can i say about this restaurant. nothing but the best in east london!!!! lived in docklands for over 18 years now and love to spend my Saturday night there. the waiter is a very friendly guy who's always energetic with a lovely smile. food is absolutely brilliant!!! and that mouth watering dish i can never forget....the tandoori king prawn.... all i can say is, its a gr8 place to spend your evening
Bengal Classic – Docklandsit sucked
Balans Restaurant – SohoFood is not too bad. Not particularly Indian, and not particularly European. And there lies the problem. Its rather unimpressive. Waiting staff can be quite rude and there seems to much rush for such expense. Wouldn't say it was worth returning. And whatever is written on the website they dont have a Michelin star!
Zaika – KensingtonGreat food ! We love it
101 Thai Kitchen – Hammersmithon the evening of 28 april 2008 my friend and i dined at the restaurant and ordered just 3 starters as we did not have time because we were going to the theatre. the food arrived but the bruschetta was not quite right served as the menu described. i informed the waiter, he replied to me saying that it was the first time a customer complained about it and told me that if i did not want the bruschetta he would change for me, as we did not want to wait any longer, we would eat it anyway. the bill was brought to us by a italian waiter who kept telling us that "after a busy weekend he did not need our complaint and moaning" my friend and i were very upset and we said that we will never come back to the restaurant again, the waiter replied saying that they can do without us customers. i asked to speak the manager but it was denied. i will pass on to all my friends this experience and make sure they dont go to this restaurant.
Piazza Enterprises London – HolbornIT IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IN E2 BETHNAL GREEN
Shah Noor Balti House – East LondonIf you are looking for a modern, exquisite and spacious venue to celebrate a birthday, engagement party or to just simply enjoy a delicious meal of a blend of indian/meditaranean cuisines, then this is the place for you. I recently celebrated my birthday, with around 40 friends, and we had a great time. The venue was fab, the service was great and the food was delicious. Thank you baraka eatery. will visit again definitely.
Baraka Eatery – East LondonLovely place !!
Pere Michel – Bayswater and PaddingtonI often go to restaurants and this is probably the worst restaurant experience I have had. I ordered pasta in a chili-tomato sauce. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce was so hot that it was hardly eatable (I usually love hot food). I told the waitress that the food was too hot and her reply was: So? Are you finished? Don't go here.
Garfunkels Restaurant – Bayswater and PaddingtonI enjoyed my birthday party celebration at Erebuni. We had the banquet menu where all the starters are on the table for everyone to share - plenty of food to fill you up and very good quality. They then brought out the mains for everyone to share: Shashlik and Lula kebab which was to die for. My birthday was great - the music and drinks just added to all the fun!
Erebuni – Bayswater and PaddingtonComptoir Gascon was fantastic!!! The service and food was amazing. The price was also very relative. I really liked the basic style of restaurant. I love the fact that you can go up to the cheese bar and select your cheeses and cakes! I am sure to return in the near future.
