Another nice meal at Red Fort in Lytham. I was on a diet and my tip for Indian food when you’re counting the calories is Chicken Tikka followed by Lamb Shashlik (and of course sparkling water instead of Cobra!).
Red Fort – Lytham
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

Red Fort – LythamUsed Le Roti in Lytham a couple of times now and been impressed both times. Once just for a lunchtime sandwich and again for a takeaway roast chicken dinner! Tres Bon!
Le Roti – LythamWe have eaten at this restaurant on a number of occasions. The team are very customer friendly, the food was lovely, I felt valued and welcome. My border terrier was welcomed upstairs. I will return, just love the experience.
Whispers – LythamHad a meal in Henry’s for the first time in quite a few months on Friday and was very impressed. I got there very early around 5.30 and had the place to myself initially. It looked stunning all laid up ready for service. They have really got the decor and lighting spot on with the latest refurb. We were all happy with the food too although with the post-Xmas diet all I had was the Cajun Chicken Caesar Salad. Only slight gripe was the coffee which despite two attempts never got beyond lukewarm.
Henry’s – LythamWe had our office Christmas lunch here and the food and service was excellent. Highly recommend it.
Spago Lytham – LythamWe enjoyed a meal with the family here just before Christmas. A very nice restaurant. The food was good and the service excellent.
Eighty Eight Chinese Restaurant – LythamALWAYS A GREAT MEAL NO MATTER WHAT TIME YOU GO. EARLY BIRD IS GREAT AND THE SUNDAY BUFFET IS 1ST CLASS. NICE FRIENDLY STAFF AND THE OWNER ALWAYS HAS TIME TO CHAT TO YOU, NICE SURROUNDINGS. FANTASTIC CHANDELIER IN RECEPTION, COFFEE IS LOVELY AND GREAT AFTER EIGHT MINTS !! HINT HINT.
Red Fort – Lytham3/10. Insanely average food, burger wasn't 'prime beef' as advertised (they wouldn't even do it medium rare). Thin burger, asda smart price fries and ridiculously expensive average drinks. Way overpriced.
Drunk Buffalo Club – LythamA lovely lunch in between Xmas shopping. A jacket and soup in very pleasant surroundings.
The Lytham Kitchen – Lytham2nd visit, it's the best for miles.
Spago Lytham – LythamVisited today and commneted to partner how quiet the place was and now I know why. I chose a sunday roast (beef) and I don't know where to start but this was probably the worst meal I have ever eaten. The only positive feedback I can give is that the the cauliflower cheese was hot. The meal consisted of 2 very small thin slices of beef and I strongly suspect that this was processed ready sliced beef. The yorkshire pudding were so over cooked it was difficult to cut them up. The rest of the veg were luke warm. The service was slow, especially considering it wasn't busy and the waitress never returned to our table. We decided to cut our losses and just leave because I really would not have wanted totry anything else from the kitchen......lessons learn't. We will not be returning to the Blossoms!
Blossoms Ember Inns, The – LythamAhmet's is looking fantastic. It has moved next door into a swish new takeaway. This the old shop is becoming a wine bar, again run by Ahmet's. Last night was one of the best Kebabs I have eaten from Ahmet's! Good food and good people. That is all.
Ahmet Turkish Kebab House – LythamNipped in for a quick bite at around 6.30 last night. It was our first visit and we were both very impressed. We only had a course each and a glass of wine but all of it was very good. I had Sicilian sausage pasta that was one of the best pasta dishes I have had. The place looks amazing and would not be out of place in any city centre. Love the rich yellows that adorn the furnishings and the lighting is perfect. It has all been designed very well. We will go back and eat a full 3 course meal next time.
Spago Lytham – LythamNovello is a great little restaurant, slightly off the beaten track. We were there for a Christmas meal. Food was very good though portions small! Service and ambience were both good too. Can't say much about the company, as one of our fellow diners fell asleep at the table!
Novello – LythamWe had a great meal here - food was gorgeous and the service was brilliant!
Red Fort – LythamI love JP's cafe, the staff are so polite and helpful. The food Is absolutely fantastic, especially the home made soup. I also suggest the cheesecakes are too die for, especially the Oreo one.
JP’s Coffee House – LythamStopped for a cuppa and ended up having a yummy cheese cake! Great place friendly service and excellent value!!!! Can't wait for next visit.
JP’s Coffee House – LythamMy wife and I enjoyed a very nice lunch at JP's. The place looks lovely and has only just opened. A lot better than the pancake place that was there before. Service was very good and friendly. Liked the touch of bringing our son a box of toys to keep him quiet. Our soup and jacket were very tasty and well presented, as was our son's pancake. We would recommend JP's.
JP’s Coffee House – LythamBottomless Brunch, £40 for 2 hours of selected food and drinks. Available 12pm-5pm, seven days a week.
