Vida Tapas and Bistro – Lytham
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.
Nice atmosphere - lovely decor. Pleasant staff and really good food.
Vida Tapas and Bistro – LythamThis is a newly opened restaurant, different to most other venues in Lytham. The contemporary decor, good choice of background music and young smiling staff, all go to create a very comfortable atmosphere. There are about 20 international tapas and several sides on offer. Our party of four had 10 different dishes and a couple of sides, not all coming together, so as not to overload the table. The food was was well presented and very well cooked and represented good value for money. Once Vida becomes more well known I see it becoming a popular spot on the Lytham eating circuit.
Vida Tapas and Bistro – LythamOur lunch for 4 at the Queens was great. Cheese and onion pie, pulled pork sarnie, a posh hot dog and a lovely salad. It is a bright and airy venue in a great location on Lytham front. Would return.
Queens Hotel – LythamHaving placed a review on Trip Advisor previous regarding The Station Tavern in Lytham I feel compelled to post an update!!! Easter Bank Holiday Friday on a very very sunny day and Lytham was a wash with day trippers and locals being visited by family & friends a like. I decided that following a dog walk our choice would be the Tavern and I have to say the plac...e is growing and growing into a wonderful venue with very very good food ~ great wines and ales and above all I have to again comment on the professional staff ~ their attention to detail and customer service. With a packed restaurant inside and others with bar food it was the outside that truly captured the day ~ a wide diverse group from the RNLI to dog walkers to families & friends ~ what appears to be taking place is and I can only relate this to restaurants ~ bars and bistro's in Brighton ~ full of vibe ~ freshness ~ catering for everyone ~ outside seating with an amazing vibe of people enjoying the Easter Bank Holiday ~ The Station is winning!! Lytham caters for many menus, appetites and budget and The Station Tavern is becoming the top if the tree for all the reasons above. Listening to a group of four middle aged couples sat next to us outside who had travelled from Bury to see family ~ they stated how 'simply impressed' they were and how they wished The Station Tavern was in Bury
Station Pub and Grill – LythamBurger and chips was spot on. The place looks great now after its refurbishment. It is a big place and hard to fill but they regularly do especially on band nights. Nice quiet outside area too. When I ordered my drink I asked if my dog was OK to be on the premises. The Landlord said yes and when he served my pint of Murphy's, he also gave me a side plate full of dog biscuits, which I thought was a very nice touch. We be returning to the Station Tavern soon.
Station Pub and Grill – LythamThe guy on the phone was very helpful with my order. The pizza was good, just a bit too much cheese on it.
Lytham Pizza Company – LythamWe really like the Lowther Cafe. A refreshing change to some of the pretentious establishments that abound these days. Simple and unfussy food, cooked well and service with a smile. Harks back to a different era when the British seaside was the place to be. Even the staff calling out your meal ticket has the charm of an old bingo hall. It's great value too!
Lowther Pavilion Cafe – LythamBurger and chips x 2 was filling and tasty. Service was attentive and prompt. Only complaint was that the outside area was a complete mess for the whole time we were there. The spring sun must have made the beer garden extra busy and I assume they were under staffed. Still one of my favourites in Lytham, especially as I can take my dog.
Queens Hotel – LythamFour of us went to the Wetherspoons Railway pub in Lytham. Two were snacking on chicken wings and chips. Two were eating Chilli and rice. All seemed satisfied and also enjoyed the beer, which there is rather a lot of. The only downside is the hike to use the gents.
The Railway Hotel – LythamMy mum and I came to do some shopping in lytham Booths and have a spot of lunch, in the Artisan cafe,Friday 7th March 2014. We sat for a while before ordering, when it finally came to the table after waiting for 30minutes, the chips looked as if they had been fried 4 times! I asked the waitress to see if they could do a fresh batch of chips. The waitress came back and said 'thats how the chips are!'She did offer veg or mash but we ordered chicken club sandwich and ham.She said she would take chips off the bill but it still seem expensive over £17! When we finally wanted to pay at the till, she rushed payment and didnt take off tea as we ordered tea for 2! I had my booths card, always receive free tea, not sure what difference it makes! The food we had was good, but it would of been nice to have the healthy chunky chips! We have had them before! Overall the service was not up to standard.I will shop within the booths store but will not go back to Artisan cafe.Yours Sincerely Mrs Sally Nicholson.
Artisan @ Booths – LythamThe best club sandwich in Britain!! I cannot imagine a better one being served anywhere. Great place and always outstanding quality. We went on Monday afternoon and it was still packed even then, when most places in the town are struggling to get 10 customers! This place has got it right, simple.
Zest Food & Wine Bar – LythamGood food
Zest Food & Wine Bar – LythamHenrys Bar and Grill has the best steak in Lytham. Fact.
Henry’s – LythamThe Lytham Kitchen is in a great spot in Lytham looking over the centaph. Big windows with stool seating are the place to watch the world go by. It has a nice style to the interior, minimal and timeless. The whitewashed wood look hasn't changed much since the original owners opening 25 years ago. I had the escalope of chicken with chunky chips and the wife a hearty soup. Our Cafe of choice in leafy Lytham now.
The Lytham Kitchen – LythamVery impressed with the pizza selection from a chain pub. All different shapes and sizes with gourmet style toppings. Unusual toppings like crispy duck and pulled pork. A very good venue to watch sport at. About 5 screens throughout the venue, one of which is in a private room. The County is back on the map.
County Hotel – LythamExcellent service and the best indian food I have ever tasted. Lovely little restaurant with a lively, friendly atmosphere.
Red Fort – LythamHenry's catered my daughter's christening party last weekend and everything was excellent from start to finish. They completely took over all organisation for us, contacting the venue, organising plates, cutlery, table cloths etc. They set everything up for us in good time and it looked fantastic. The food was all made freshly on the morning of the event and we were complemented by every guest, saying it was the best buffet they had eaten at a christening doo. Thanks Charles and his team for a seamless service and fantastic food!! Definitely recommended for outside catering, the restaurants not bad either!!
Henry’s – LythamAfter viewing the early bird menu we decided to eat at Woks Cooking! The food from the starters of chicken n sweetcorn soup to the chicken pancake wraps with hoisin sauce and crispy shredded beef in a honey and spicy sauce was excellent!! In addition, the service was impeccable that actually complimented the standard of food served! So well recommend
