Very good service. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
Red Fort – Lytham
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.
Very good service. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
Red Fort – LythamWhenever we try to decide where to go out to eat, we always wonder "shall we try here, shall we try there". But we usually decide "let's go to The Red Fort". The Red Fort never fails to satisfy. If you're a fan of Indian food, you may well have your favourite restaurant and probably your favourite dish that you always have. The Red Fort is our favourite and we always get great friendly service and excellent food. The restaurant is clean, modern and stylish. They have a huge menu with many different dishes that you will not see on other menus. They even offer you a small complimentary taster dish of any menu item - so if you're thinking of trying something different to your normal dish, you can try it for free. The Early Bird offer is great value for money - Papadoms with chutneys and ANY main course with rice or naan, for £8.95 before Monday to Thursday 5pm to 7pm. Last night we went for the Early Bird and had the papadoms to start followed by a lamb Pathia and a lamb Naga. The lamb is always melt in your mouth tender, unlike some places where I have been where it can be tough and chewy. We also had an Aloo Gobi (cauliflower and potatoes) and a Mator Paneer (Peas and indian cheese) as side dishes. The Early Bird dishes are not smaller than the full price meals, and we still managed to eat the lot! No doubt, next time we decide to eat out again, we will face the same tough decision - where else to go other than The Red Fort.
Red Fort – LythamWe have been eating at Red Fort since it opened over 20 yrs ago. The new decor and lighting have really set the Red Fort apart from other Indian restaurants in the area. Food is consistently good and the menu is varied . Ahad and all his staff look after us very well and the service/food to a very high standard. Visitors to Lytham should not miss eating at Red Fort.
Red Fort – LythamWonderful food and excellent service. Each meal made to order. I have special dietary needs and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.
Red Fort – LythamCurry house with a difference. Modern, stylish decor. Very good service without being intrusive. Different menu giving both the familiar and a range of less well known dishes. Highly recommended. Definitely worth a visit.
Red Fort – LythamDined here with my girlfriend on Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed it! They were very busy but managed to squeeze us in, I had the seafood and chorizo pasta which was nicely cooked and tasty and my girlfriend had a steak which she is still talking about! Next time I go I will be trying the steak because this isn't the first time I have heard how great they are supposed to be. We weren't too impressed with the dessert list so we didn't bother. I always appreciate a view of an open kitchen as I eat, I'll be going back.
Henry’s – LythamWhat a wonderful dining experience! The newly refurbished restaurant is a beautiful soft lighting setting, which makes for a romantic meal for a couple like us or just as lovely for a family party/occasion. The food is to die for, we have never eaten such authentic dishes in the UK and we vote this the no 1 Indian Restaurant in England! My favourites are Pineapple Rice and Lamb Rajshahi highly recommend both of them. The manager and staff alike are extremely attentive and the waiting staff outstanding. The Sunday Banquet is unbelievable value, served all day long and includes a Kulfi or Coffee for dessert. Please try this restaurant its wonderful.
Red Fort – LythamSandra & I have been regulars at the Red Fort ever since it opened. The food is always excellent and the service first-class and very friendly. Ahad, the Manager, will always make time for a chat and a joke with us,and encourages the rest of the staff to do the same. Over the years we have obviously tried several different dishes and have never had cause for complaint. The standard of the food has always been 'spot on'. Following recent refurbishment the restaurant now has a more intimate 'warm' appearance thanks to some clever, modern lighting. The Red Fort is, in our opinion, the best Indian restaurant in the area and we can't praise Ahad and his team enough for their efforts. The very fact we are there every week (and occasionally twice a week) is surely recommendation enough for anyone. Keep up the good work !
Red Fort – LythamAs a mum with a 16month old little boy, we are always warmly welcomed at the Lytham Kitchen, brought colouring books and crayons too! The food is lovely (the specials are alway very good) service very friendly and quick. This has turned into a family tradition to go every weekend. A great little find!
The Lytham Kitchen – LythamThis place is fab! Went for the first time on friday, the bank hol weekend for my husband's birthday. We weren't sure where to go and ended up there and what a great place it is. It was fully booked downstairs but there was restaurant space upstairs in the bar for walk ins. The atmosphere was vibrant, food was exquisite and the service was impeccable. My husband had the sirlion steak, 'best steak he ever had'. Really friendly, definitely worth a visit!!
Henry’s – LythamI think we must have caught Bosco on a bad day! We went for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday after being recommended by a friend. The table we sat at was by the bar area and staff were constantly within a foot of the back of the chairs preparing drinks - so much so that we had to move in the end. I had the Salata Tricolore, which consisted of 5 cherry tomatoes, barely half an avocado, a couple of slices of mozzarella and......nothing else! It was so small it was served on a side plate and cost £8.25!! My husband had the pollo salad which was better but nothing to write home about - however, it did come with toasted garlic ciabatta although the chef forgot this initially and we had to chase it up, finally getting it half way through the meal. Perhaps we would have fared better going for a meal in the evening, however, I don't think we will be rushing back there! With many good places to eat in Lytham, I would go somewhere else!
Bosco – LythamReasonably good food but they actually ask you for a tip before you've paid!!!! What's going on there? I'm certainly not going back. Chris J Woodplumpton
Red Fort – LythamMe and my wife visited Henry's last Thursday night for our anniversary and I've got to say, what a night! Firstly the place was packed which was great to see, my friends had recommended us and it certainly didn't disappoint, the food was second to none, the steak i had was the best I'd had in a long time and the seafood casserole my wife chose was fantastic also. The staff were great, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, Couldn't have asked for more! Booked in again for bank holiday Friday and they were already nearly fully booked! Great restaurant and cant wait to return!
Henry’s – LythamExcellent food, service and restaurant.
Red Fort – LythamWent there last night what a great place! The food was fantastic, freshly cooked, not too long to wait and delicious. Definitely best Italian I've had in Lytham/St Annes. My young son had a child's pizza and said it was so tasty could he have another! both were polished off! Simple Italian food at its best.
Bosco – LythamI went there on a Saturday and the food was no better than average and the service was really inadequate. The woman serving was quite ditsy, just not with it. There is too much choice in Lytham to have this standard.
Bosco – LythamBest Italian Restaurant in Lytham and St Annes. Great food, fantastic service, my two grandaughters love the Rustica Pizzas. Look forward to our next visit.
Bosco – LythamI have never enjoyed Chinese food as much as at "88", not only is the food excellent(freshly cooked and always hot) the welcome from billy and his lovely wife syreena is warm and genuine, nothing is too much trouble for them, get billy to tell you his stories of his days in hong kong very entertaining, yes the whole experience of eating at the 88 is delightful you don't feel rushed once you have finished eating, I recommend the king prawn fried rice a favourite of mine. I would not hesitate to recommend the 88 to anyone, I for one am now a regular there, get yourself along there and enjoy.
