Blossoms Ember Inns, The – Lytham
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

Blossoms Ember Inns, The – LythamI dislike Fancy That, the owner is a very unpleasant person. He has no respect for some of the staff and i have witnessed him physically push them on occasions. This cafe is also not as child friendly as it comes across to be either. If i have to be honest i don't understand why anyone would visit Fancy That on a regular basis as the food is grossly over priced, and the owner, and i believe his wive, are very awkward to be around. I'm sure many other locals, and misfortunates can back me up on this statement.
Fancy That – LythamThank god for seniors fish and chip shop in lytham. Wheelans very overrated and very rude staff needed some competition . Whelans will close or be sold within 12 months of this review.
Whelans – LythamHad a meal at Bosco a couple of weeks ago on a thursday evening. Atmosphere was lovely, staff very polite and friendly and service was quick. We all had pasta dishes which were excellent as our empty plates testified. Saw pizzas going past and they looked good too. Prices about average for this type of restaurant. Just one tip if you are a lady of a certain age don't sit near the kitchen as they have an open fire oven and it gets very hot. Overall a lovely restaurant for a nice pizza/pasta meal.
Bosco – Lythamim afraid i did not rate this place at all. over priced and poor quality of food with poor service. lovely building .
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – Lythama lovely place with good service. only had a bacon buttie but the bacon was the best I've ever tasted. well priced.
Java – Lythamhad a nice lunch in this lovely lytham eatery. great place for a leisurely sunday snack with the papers.
The Lytham Kitchen – LythamThis was my second visit to Bosco, I ordered prawn pasta, which was a bit of a let down, very basic with no sauce, and it was quite pricey £9.95. However, my son had a margarita which was lovely! the atmosphere is nice and the service very good
Bosco – LythamI used to go to whelans regularly, however, now I think the quality of food is not so good and the portion sizes have reduced as the prices have increased. The fish is always soggy and flat, its hit or miss with the chips. The service is always friendly though.
Whelans – LythamThis is now my local eatery, excellent service, good food relaxing atmosphere. Went for breakfast for the first time very nice.
Java – LythamWe love going to No 88 as they have the best Crispy Duck with pancakes anywhere! And we've eaten all over Europe, so that's saying something! The owners have always given us so much attention that whenever we had visitors to stay, we always took them to our favourite Chinese restaurant! Asha and Mandeep Nanra
Eighty Eight Chinese Restaurant – LythamWe regularly eat at the Red Fort and it continues to be consistently excellent and we are never disappointed. Ahad and his team provide an excellent service and the food takes some beating!
Red Fort – LythamWe went in September and were really looking forward to it, there were four of us and we really enjoyed it. I had heard good and bad reports before hand but really i cant fault the place, the service or the food, and im a fussy eater!!!
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – LythamWhat a fab place. The restaurant is nicely decorated, staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is served with no delays. Wine list is very varied and caters for all tastes and is very affordable, even the house wine is really good! The food is outstanding and good size portions, highly recommend to everyone. 10/10
Woks Cooking – Lythamvery good food and the service was excellent .
Bosco – LythamThe latest Lytham venture is a success! We went there on Friday and place was full. It had a really warm and welcoming atmosphere that evening. In the day I want to sit in the window seat that looks over the square and down the main drag. Love the ceiling lighting in Bosco, very Big Brother (Orwell not C4). The menu is mainly Italian and I guess the style is Pizza Express. I had a Rustica Pizza which was served on a wooden platter and was excellent. My dining companions also enjoyed their meals. Prices were reasonable and I will go back in the daytime next time!
Bosco – LythamNot recommended We (6) recently dined at Ego. The food was tasteless, dry, looked unappealing, the waitress very clearly very inexperienced, service woefully slow (we waited at least 20 minutes for our drinks at the table and even then did not get the requested jug of water) and drinks ridiculously over-priced. The total bill came to £184.00, the food comprising only of 5 starters and 6 mains (max price £9.00)!!!!! I was shocked and disappointed (as this was a surprise birthday treat for my partner) and will not recommend on this experience. Sorry.
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – LythamTop quality ruby house with very attentive service. A good place to eat in peace without the plonkers of lytham larging it about the place.
Red Fort – LythamBottomless Brunch, £40 for 2 hours of selected food and drinks. Available 12pm-5pm, seven days a week.
