Fantastic decor, ambience, service and food. A little expensive but you are paying for the experience! Definitely one of the Fylde? best restaurants!
Portofino – Lytham
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

Portofino – LythamThis pub is a traditional pub in the best sense. The menu really caters for all tastes even vegetarian and fussy eaters as well as those who like their steaks and veg etc. Great selection of real ales and always a good atmosphere any night of the week. Highly recommended.
The Fairhaven – LythamAuthentic Italian home cooking, served in simple surroundings, by really nice people.
Lytham Pizza Company – LythamWhat a great meal - this was definitely one of the best Chinese meals I have ever eaten - and I was pleasantly surprised with the cost. I have also had a take-away from here and the standard did not drop at all - overall highly recommended.
Eighty Eight Chinese Restaurant – LythamCan really recommend the plate steak mince pie - huge portions and delicious!
The Lytham Kitchen – LythamVery enjoyable meal, the fish and chips were delicious, the batter crisp and light. Recommend the place to anyone who enjoys a delicious fish and chip meal.
Whelans – LythamHaving been situated in Lytham for many years, the Mews is a hidden gem in Lytham. It does not have the same feel as Zest, but does have wonderful food including home made cakes. There is also a small roof terrace if the weather lets you enjoy it! Keep an eye out for the mice! There are a few hidden mice in the cafe, but don't worry, they are not real! They simply add a bit of fun to the cafe.
Mews Tearoom, The – LythamThe food was excellent, and in plentiful supply. A full plate of what you want, and you can help yourself to the potatoes and veg! Desserts are also very good. Try Mad about Passion for a light dessert, or the Waffle if you have a bit more room spare!
County Hotel – LythamVisited Whelan? for the first time, after hearing recommendations from Fred Fielder on the GMR radio. I have to agree with Gordon Ramsay and Rick Stein this is, ' absolutely excellent fish and chips'. MY only criticism was we had to wait a long time for a table, but it was well worth it!
Whelans – LythamWe ate here on Friday we had two specials which were 6 pound each not bad, but the fish was very small to say it was supposed to be large, however it was enough for me maybe not my boyfriend as he has a bigger appetite than me, the fish and chips were cooked to perfection didn't feel like I had just eaten fish and chips as they were very light and actually refreshing.
Whelans – Lythamvery enjoyable meal, the fish and chips were delicious, the batter crisp and light. recommend the place to anyone who enjoys a delicious fish and chip meal,
Whelans – LythamAs a life long fan of Pizza Express I feel compelled to mention that the Lytham Branch is letting the side down. It is not the first time we have eaten in this branch and been disappointed. It is almost as though the chefs here are trained differently to the rest of the peerless group. I took my family in on Mothering Sunday and the service was fine but the food (in particular the pizzas) was poor. Please sort it out because at £65 it was just not worth the trip.
Pizza Express – LythamWhelans has just had a refurb and looks fab! They spent thousands on a new range so the fish and chips tastes even better. I'd recommend sitting upstairs (just expanded) and watching Lytham through the big bay windows.
Whelans – LythamJust been for lunch with a colleague, great selection of food at good prices. It's a little gem!
The Lytham Kitchen – LythamWithout doubt the best interpretation of a fine dining restaurant in the area. The dining room has a first class ambience and stunning views over Lytham Green and beyond. The service is as good as any restaurant I've been to. And the food was faultless, although I'm not sure its quite at the level of Michellin stars yet.
Clifton Arms Hotel – Lythamv.nice place, with nice staff
Chattery Cafe, The – LythamMy fiancée and I live in lytham and frequently visit the Redfort on a regular basis (monthly). The food and service are really very hard to surpass! The waiters are even willing to experiment by going off the menu if you like. Although it is walking distance from where we live we would definitely drive to gain such an experience. Well done Danni and Aahad!! Keep it up guys!! Andy and Helen
Red Fort – LythamNot a restaurant really. Lunch served but have not experienced it. Wide selection of real ales and popular with residents and non residents alike. Even when very busy (as is frequent) very friendly.
