Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldGreat food, lovely staff, excellent value for money
The Ship Inn – MacclesfieldCalled on spec for late lunch once again food absolutely lovely was nit busy but still was an enjoyable visit x
Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldWas extremely disappointed! We had a table booked for 6pm, we left the restaurant at 6.28. The food was all over done and almost inedible. We had cocktails that we couldn’t drink as they were awful! We ate here a few months ago and noticed some big changes in prices and portion sizes. Compared to are last visit, we will not be coming back!
Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldA warm welcome from the waitress who was very attentive. Meatballs are delicious. A lovely little place.
The Salt Bar – MacclesfieldMy sister and I brought my Mum for lunch last Friday. The service and food were excellent. It was very relaxed in the outside space and I noticed lots of gluten free options on the menu and plan to bring my husband (coeliac) very soon.
Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldFabulous meal to celebrate a birthday. Very attentive staff and great food and wine. Highly recommend it.

Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldArrived just in time to order from for the latest offer menu of 2 course plus a drink for £20 each. Excellent home-made mackerel pate followed by the signature dish of meatballs, superb as always. Friendly and attentive service in a relaxed atmosphere. Hard to beat all round.
The Salt Bar – Macclesfield5 star
Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldReally poor meal, never had such a vinegary Greek salad. Chicken skewers were tasteless too. There was no atmosphere and outside space was tired and shabby- flowers on the table being dead.
Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldBeautiful food, amazing service, lovely atmosphere and a great price! Particularly impressed with the Vegan options - unusual and so delicious! The best meal out I've had in a long time.
The Salt Bar – MacclesfieldAmazing as always, from food to drinks and attentive staff, can not fault anything. Favourite place to eat, anywhere in the UK and abroad.

The Ship Inn – MacclesfieldLovely evening - very good food, super menu, well served from friendly staff
The Ship Inn – MacclesfieldWe had an early evening meal from the fixed menu which was reasonably priced. The service was very attentive and friendly, making you feel extremely welcome. Bacchus was one of our regular venues, but following the lockdown we had not been for quite a while. We instantly felt right at home again however and made the conscious decision to put Bacchus high on our list of favourite restaurants again.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldFaultless, the best meal out I’ve had in along time. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
The Salt Bar – MacclesfieldSo very happy to return here again to this exquisite Cheshire inn, ()not Staffordshire as quoted !) We were served by the effervescent and charming James who really was the most brilliant waiter. The food was, as always is, sheer brilliance and all washed down with a Wincle Brewery beer. Sublime and bucolic sum up this enchanting venue and we continue to wish Jim and Christione well in promoting their pub. Loved the fact we can now book on line. The services offered just get better and better. Thank you!
