Usual high quality offering. I had beef tartare and selection of shellfish. I have had moules mariniere in many restaurants around the world but I have to say the ones at Bacchus were the best! Excellent silver service but with a friendly twist always happy to share a laugh. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always flexible to accommodate any request. Not too noisy or crammed together so it was easy to have table conversation. We finished the meal with a generous cheese board and a port. A meal to remember!!

Beautiful food and outstanding service. Outdoor area is lovely with a buzzing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Short notice booking for a Saturday evening. 3 x Adults. When making a drinks order there was a distinct lack of most things. No lager on tap, no Estrella no Brahma, I ended up with a bottle of Moretti, (not my favourite). My son asked for a Jamesons Orange, none in the house. Luckily my wife wanted a soft drink and was amazed when they had some. My son ordered the pinwheel steak. None available. The food, that arrived was good, but if we had known there was a shortage of our favoured drink, we would have gone elsewhere.

I went to Salt bar yesterday evening with 3 friends. We all had different meals which were all delicious. The wine was also spot on and beautifully chilled. The service was great as well. Would highly recommend

Eat here regularly and both the service and food never fails to impress. There is a set menu that changes all the time, as well as A la Carte and they are always happy to make changes, even make something that may not even be on the menu if they have the ingredients. The service is excellent - always make you feel very welcome. For such a fantastic restaurant the prices are very reasonable. Cannot wait until our next visit.

Service was brilliant Staff are so attentive without being intrusive Souffles were perfect Meat very fresh Staff kindly went out of their way to cater for my fussy husband, providing fish and chips which weren’t on main menu The only slight disappointment was that the deep fried fish was a little dry and chewy!! Can’t believe it took us so long to visit this diamond of a restaurant. The menu may be smaller but the flavours are mighty with enough selection to please every palate. We started with Prawn Skagen and the specials Cauli Filo rolls which were both very tasty, I could’ve just eaten a plate of the Cauli rolls! We then had the specials feta & strawberry salad and the spring cabbage leaves. The salad was so light and fresh with delicious strawberries, green beans and feta, very summery. The cabbage leaves filled with quinoa, peas, miso garlic mushrooms on a broad bean mash with maple and soy was just superb. We shared every course and took a rhubarb streusel home for our daughter as it was GF. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Macclesfield. Thank you Jo for a wonderful meal, we will be back!

Fabulous food, huge selection especially for Vegetarians. Great Service. Sitting in the garden area felt like we could be away on holiday.

Service was prompt and friendly throughout in a lovely atmosphere. It was a very hot day. The large door/windows were open and the restaurant felt very comfortable. We had a party of four and all enjoyed their meals. The Prawn Cocktails were delicious but I felt that the pickled cucumber done in long strips was rather tricky to handle with a small spoon and small fork and would have preferred shorter strips. An excellent menu with something for every taste.

Great meals, drinks and service at The Salt Bar. We had the early bird offer of two courses and a drink for £20 per person. We both had mackerel pate for starters. My wife had the burger for main course and I had the meat balls. My wife had a house white wine and I had a lager. Everything was lovely. Service was pleasant and efficient.

Always a great welcome and wonderful service. The food is always to a very high standard. Our favourite local restaurant.

We visited the Ship Inn, Wincle, yesterday with our grandchildren and had a lovely meal in the garden. The fish and chips was excellent, a good size portion for £9.95 and great quality! Service was excellent and we look forward to returning very soon!

We went to the lilac cottage for afternoon tapas but ended up having bottomless brunch with cocktails. Excellent value for money the food was great good service and nice atmosphere. Eating out on the back courtyard had a very nice Mediterranean feel to it. Thanks very much to everyone there.

Fantastic

We felt very pampered on our first meal out at Bacchus by the very personable staff. You can see how they make a living in Prestbury; what they do, they do well, and there appeared to be several local 'regular' customers in on the night we dined to testify to this. The menu contained enough familiarity to keep those regulars coming whilst also being competent, well presented and 'special' enough to make a visit an occasion. The wine list had genuine moments of eye-watering entertainment whilst also offering some decent choices for mere mortals like us. For where they are and the quality of the offering, we thought they offer really good value for the money. We were there on a Wednesday, so not every table was occupied, but we can imagine it gets busier/bustlier at weekends. If it doesn't, it should do. For some this might help build that sense of occasion. But it might also mean that the staff had more time for us because it wasn't heaving. Swings and roundabouts. Would happily dine here again. And hope to when we're next in the area.
