Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldService was prompt and friendly throughout in a lovely atmosphere. It was a very hot day. The large door/windows were open and the restaurant felt very comfortable. We had a party of four and all enjoyed their meals. The Prawn Cocktails were delicious but I felt that the pickled cucumber done in long strips was rather tricky to handle with a small spoon and small fork and would have preferred shorter strips. An excellent menu with something for every taste.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldGreat meals, drinks and service at The Salt Bar. We had the early bird offer of two courses and a drink for £20 per person. We both had mackerel pate for starters. My wife had the burger for main course and I had the meat balls. My wife had a house white wine and I had a lager. Everything was lovely. Service was pleasant and efficient.
The Salt Bar – MacclesfieldAlways a great welcome and wonderful service. The food is always to a very high standard. Our favourite local restaurant.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWe visited the Ship Inn, Wincle, yesterday with our grandchildren and had a lovely meal in the garden. The fish and chips was excellent, a good size portion for £9.95 and great quality! Service was excellent and we look forward to returning very soon!
The Ship Inn – MacclesfieldWe went to the lilac cottage for afternoon tapas but ended up having bottomless brunch with cocktails. Excellent value for money the food was great good service and nice atmosphere. Eating out on the back courtyard had a very nice Mediterranean feel to it. Thanks very much to everyone there.
Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldTasty food served by welcoming staff in traditional pub setting
The Ship Inn – MacclesfieldFantastic
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWe felt very pampered on our first meal out at Bacchus by the very personable staff. You can see how they make a living in Prestbury; what they do, they do well, and there appeared to be several local 'regular' customers in on the night we dined to testify to this. The menu contained enough familiarity to keep those regulars coming whilst also being competent, well presented and 'special' enough to make a visit an occasion. The wine list had genuine moments of eye-watering entertainment whilst also offering some decent choices for mere mortals like us. For where they are and the quality of the offering, we thought they offer really good value for the money. We were there on a Wednesday, so not every table was occupied, but we can imagine it gets busier/bustlier at weekends. If it doesn't, it should do. For some this might help build that sense of occasion. But it might also mean that the staff had more time for us because it wasn't heaving. Swings and roundabouts. Would happily dine here again. And hope to when we're next in the area.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldLovely atmosphere and staff
The Ship Inn – MacclesfieldThat was a best meal yet at Lilac Cottage and we had a few Food service ambience first class Disappointing one diner brought her Corgi in to the restaurant allowed it to bark and wander on a long lead - but hey that’s not the fault of Lilac Cottage - that’s simply a selfish attitude of a local resident
Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldWe all had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The Ship Inn – MacclesfieldWe visited the restaurant for our 20 year anniversary, and was delighted with the food choice , it was outstanding, The staff are very friendly and attentive, we will definitely be returning in the near future .
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldVisited for the first time in a while this week, and as ever Bacchus did not disappoint. The food is excellent, especially on the fixed price midweek menu, accompanied by superb wines. I was especially pleased to see the service hasn't changed either, with exemplary attention to detail and a warm welcome as always - notably superior to many other restaurants. Highly recommended, and I would never hesitate to eat there!
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldIn our opinion, the best restaurant in the area. Very reasonably priced for meals that are always a bit different in terms of ingredients and choices. The chef never fails to come up trumps with the menu and we love the fact that it is regularly updated - great for returning customers. Staff are friendly, courteous and attentive. We would highly recommend a visit.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWe recently visited for bottomless brunch on a lovely sunny Saturday so we got to sit outside. On the whole, the experience was great. Delicious tapas, great service from the staff, unlimited fizz and although the bottomless brunch is for 90min, we were able to order another bottle just before our time ran out and we spend another hour sat there enjoying the afternoon. The one and only negative - and its really small - is that the only outdoor space they have is right on the main road so it's noisy and can sometimes be quite a chaotic junction. It's no fault of the restaurant and they're using the space they have available to them well but it's definitely worth noting if you're wanting to enjoy a quiet coffee in the sun!
Lilac at The Chestergate – MacclesfieldCame for bottomless brunch & upgraded to cocktails. Food was amazing & the staff could do enough for you
