Dunstan Inn – MacclesfieldWe always go to this chippy as they are the best fish and chips. Arthur and his staff are very friendly whenever we go for a takeaway.
Crompton Road Chippy – Macclesfieldvisit to the macclesfield pizza express and we both had the chicken polo salad well the chicken on both our plates was pitiful about 4 small pieces each when we called the manager over she explained that you get half a chicken fillet each and that how it is for every pizza express but we have had meals in buxton and Manchester and their chickens must be a lot bigger we asked about the tomato and that it was 1 cut into 4 pieces "yes that's correct was the answer "now we are not big eaters but £9 for this is the big high street rip off of the year
Pizza Express – MacclesfieldVery good food, had the carvery plenty to choose from.Would go again.
Legh Arms and Blackboy Restaurant – MacclesfieldSuperb Cantonese Cuisine, fantastic service, helpful waitresses!
Deli Garden – MacclesfieldThe food here is very very nice, it is good hearty pub grub (we ate off the bar menu) and the chocolate torte was exceptional. It has it's down-sides though, in particular a female member of staff who did not make us feel very welcome. She took the orders of the other people in the room but not us so I had to ask for a server when I got drinks from the bar, when she came to take our order she did not read us the specials which she did for everybody else. This is a very quaint country pub in a beautiful little village a shame that our experience wasn't better due to one individual who seemed to take a dislike to us.
Legh Arms and Blackboy Restaurant – MacclesfieldChesters is a fantastic place the menu is excellent and the staff are very friendly .
Chesters – MacclesfieldWe have eaten here several times since the new manager has been there. Food and service have always been very good, until of late. Food I can not knock. Very tasty and cooked to perfection. One member of staff behind the bar taking food orders and serving drinks is not acceptable when patrons are three deep trying to be served. One occasion we actually left and went else where. Must be a staffing problem as some tables were late in being cleared too.
Blacksmiths Arms – MacclesfieldI thought the service was outstanding when we visited the Red Lion last weekend. The sun was out, so we eat outside which was really pleasant and we were served well with no problems at all. I really like the setting of the pub, it's set in the peaceful country side of Cheshire and has a great following of regular customers who are really friendly and a good laugh. I would recommend the food to anyone really, because the menu has something for everyone offering high standard of quality. I recommend the peppered T-Bone steak.
Red Lion – MacclesfieldVisited Red Lion last Friday after reading your review, had a great night out ,very friendly and welcoming atmosphere,my wife had the fish platter (superb) I had the T bone steak which was fantastic. Will definitely call again
Red Lion – MacclesfieldMy wife and I are big foodies and we hunt these places out. I can honestly say this was one of the best we've been to in a long while and that's including The Church Green at Lymm, Belle Epoque at Knutsford and The Lions Head at Stockport. I had. 'A Tasting Of Local Pork' Braised Cheek, Confit Belly, Fillet, Blackpudding, Sage & Eddisbury Farm Apple jus £14.75 The wine was Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc 2008 Reserv again really good. Already planning to book for a music night.
The Lord Clyde – MacclesfieldThis is a lovely italian, very friendly with great food - not cheap but good value for money
Briscola – MacclesfieldRecently worked in Macclesfield and needed a sandwich and cuppa. Stopped by a cafe in a busy shopping centre and thought I would have to wait for a long time....everyone was commenting on how professional the girls were behind the counter and in the cafe. When I was served, I was asked if I wanted to stay in, which I chose to. The service was absolutely fantastic. The sandwich, which was very tasty, came with a fresh, good size portion of salad with a small portion of crisps. Lovely cuppa too. Excellent value. Don't normally write these things, but just had to say something about CoffeeBeans cafe.Well Done!
The Coffee Bean Cafe – MacclesfieldWe celebrated my husband's birthday with a meal at Sutton Hall and were very impressed. The setting is magnificent, the real log fire (welcome even in June!), the old beams and the quirky rooms and original furniture. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. We will certainly be returning.
Sutton Hall – MacclesfieldExcellent dinner: beautiful peaceful surroundings: safe, fenced in play area on grass for children of all ages; very visible to adult eyes without need for continuous intervention; they even eat there (inside or out). Great for family treats / meetings. Lovely for just eating a deux in quiet privacy.
Blacksmiths Arms – Macclesfieldworst experience of service and food for a long time waited over 1 hour for a salad and a gammon dish came cold so sent back only for it to be microwaved could understand if busy but this was at 5 pm and only a handful of people where eating did get a complimentary bottle of wine for the experience you may not put this on the site but please feel free to pass on to the miners arms as they need to get there act up and running will go back for a drink only completely put off the food side of things.
The Miners Arms – MacclesfieldWe found a lovely homely place in picturesque countryside to enjoy an incredibly delicious home made hot meal and a sandwich and a pot of tea. The scones are the best I have had and the price and service is very good. A great feeling sat next to the wood fire burner. Thank you, I will definitely come back again and again and cannot wait for the sunshine to sit on the tables outside and enjoy the beauty surrounding this place. I will be recommending to my friends and family.
