Gluaymaai Thai – MacclesfieldNewbie to this cafe and pretty impressed with it! The staff was super nice to me and fast! Oh my word the cakes was amazzzzzing!!!! Hot chocolate and another one here I come!!!
The Coffee Bean Cafe – MacclesfieldAbsolute waste of time. Be aware...I saw this place on a week day and thought about taking my partner and friend there on the weekend. The cakes look amazing and above the cakes, you also find the pricing, panninis, coffees, cakes, etc...So, we choose what we wanted based on the pricing displayed and after 25m waiting for 2 panninis we received the wrong order. No problem, here...so we wait more 10m, the coffees were cold...we didn t say nothing bec if we don t like a place we just don't go back. The worst was to come...my partner and our friend paid while i was waiting outside. Surprise when she came out and said...we just paid £30 for 3 people for breakfast!! I couldn t believe bec something would have to be wrong...so we went inside and find out that there was no mistake on the bill. What had happened? They advertise the prices on the board at 2.50 for a panini while you choose what you want and when you actually pay, the prices rises from 2.50 to 6.50 for a panini bec you ate in the coffee but they don't tell you that before. What a great catch. When we told her this they didn t know what to say...obviously not, that s a great catch!!!So the next time you go, make sure you don t fall in their trap. Miserable people that will do anything for money...
The Coffee Bean Cafe – MacclesfieldDespite what is said both on here and the pubs own website they are NOT open all day. However another pub close by is.
Harrington Arms – MacclesfieldPlace is a joke 45mins I was told for delivery after 1hour I rang he just left and hung up on me. 1Hour 30mins rang again and the owner just hung up on me an didn't answer again. He turned up 2hours later offered me it £1 off the price. Told him I didn't want it.
Chicken@Gios – MacclesfieldA regular customer of this bistro, I've never had anything other than a really good meal. The presentation, the staff, the prices, the welcome and the food all excellent. Whenever I have friends staying I know that I can book this restaurant with confidence and everyone I have taken there has been impressed. The owners work hard and deserve the success. My only regret is that too many people are getting to know it and it gets harder to book in.
Chestergate Bistro – MacclesfieldSuperb food. Desserts extremely well presented. Very good service. Excellent prices.
Chestergate Bistro – MacclesfieldI went into coffee beans to ask for a saturday job a few weeks back and i havnt yet recieved my gcse results so i politely asked a middle aged woman who worked there if she would take my number. She wouldnt even look at me as she cleaned tables,i had to speak again and again for her attention feeling stupid with many eyes upon me. The woman tried to tell me what a cv was thinking i was stupid when i had already said that i hadnt had my results. I walked out of the shop and she said something not knowing i had left as her face was still facing a table. I experienced a very horrible time in that cafe trying to look for work and i noticed that the people who worked there were very snobby and unhelpful.
The Coffee Bean Cafe – MacclesfieldWent here for a quiet midweek meal. Very hearty, home cooked food, but a little more up market than your average pub. Very good portion size, menu size and a great chef. We will definitely be going back. We sat in the lounge as its a bit more cosy and it was a quiet night. We will definitely go back. 3 ladies in their late 20s
Red Lion – MacclesfieldWhen we can, we always stop off here when I pick my husband up from the airport, As he often works away. I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal
Pesto At The Davenport Arms – MacclesfieldGreat food, outstanding but very friendly service. Tried the summer taster menu and it was fantastic. Will definitely visit again shortly.
Had a meat at the Red Lion with my Wife and son this Mothers Day and honestly we were all very disappointed. The section we sat in although clean lacked any real atmosphere. The service was OK without any genuine feeling of warmth. However the food was very disappointing. My wife's fish and chips and son's scampi were both of the frozen variety which was a let down for a place that advertises itself as sourcing local products and even more so at around £10 each. My steak pie in ale had a slight underlying taste of vinegar to it which ruined the overall flavour and again the real chips were frozen. The only fresh produce I detected were the side vegetables which were actually well cooked, having a slight crunch to them, although they still managed to ruin the cauliflower which had a slight taste of cooking fat to it? Sorry I would love to be writing a good review for this but overall we thought it was very poor, contrary to many of the reviews we have read.
Red Lion – MacclesfieldI have been going to Chesters ever since it opened and have never had a bad meal there yet. The staff are attentive and very friendly and Pepe is always courteous and nothing is ever too much trouble for him. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys excellent food and good ambience.
Chesters – Macclesfieldabsolutely beautiful
Chestergate Bistro – MacclesfieldI have used coffee traders for some time now and find that the service is excellent nothing is too much trouble for the staff, even to changing the contents of meals to suit as requested. Free Filter coffee refills a bonus in these times. Meals have always been fresh and well presented. Decor is muted tones and sits very well in the friendly atmosphere, there are many repeat customers. Make sure your early for lunch as it get extremely busy and can result in waiting with people cutting out of the door. What can I say, anywhere that people are willing to cue to get a place at a table has to be good. A little pricey but the quality and service make up for it. Appeals to couples and families alike and less for the teenagers who opt for more gregarious coffee establishments.
Coffee Traders – MacclesfieldWe visited amuse for the first time last month and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The menu has a good variety of food ranging from platters to share to homemade beef burgers and a superb selection of puddings if you have a sweet tooth. We were lucky to have booked in on a Blues night which added to the atmosphere! We will definitely be returning to amuse again next time we're in the area.
Amuse – MacclesfieldI recently had my 60th Birthday celebration at Lyme Breeze, the buffet was fantastic, the atmosphere great, we did have a dj who got everyone in high spirits, Shelia, Kevin and the staff worked very hard to make sure everyone had a fab time. I would recommend anyone, any age to book your celebration at Lyme Breeze, you will not be disappointed. Also great for Sunday lunch , or Fri/Sat night really good value for money
Lyme Breeze – MacclesfieldTook my wife to Lyme Breeze for an evening meal. The building looks unimpressive from the outside but the food and service was really good. No a la carte menu, but good starters, salad and main courses and very good value for money. Fish and chips was the best we've had for a very long time.
