The Poachers Inn – MacclesfieldDeli Garden, what a superb experience, wonderful authentic Chinese food served by very friendly staff in a great atmosphere. The service was first class, nothing was too much trouble, a great choice of menu, the old favourites and some different dishes too, plenty of choice of drinks from a well stocked bar, wine excellent. We would certainly recommend the Deli Garden to anyone who wants an unforgettable evening. Outstanding, will be back in the very near future. 5* rating from us!!
Deli Garden – MacclesfieldFirst visited this restaurant with a party of 20+ women, not one complaint from anyone !!!!! We have been back several times this year and have not had a bad meal yet !!! All the food is beautifully presented and the staff are very accommodating if you wanted something slightly different. The staff and food are nothing but superb !!!
Chestergate Bistro – MacclesfieldWas recommended to this restaurant by some close friends. Have been there on numerous occasions now.Absolutely fabulous food. Reminded me of my various trips to Thailand and Malaysia.
Chilli Banana – Macclesfieldfantastic place food wonderful the best place in Macclesfield Peppe is the best front of house we have ever come across the Restaurant has been open for 28years and he is still very enthusiastic
Chesters – MacclesfieldAs a regular diner at pizza express I was appalled at my latest experience. We were seated and then watched two further tables seated near to us, after us. These tables had drinks orders taken, but we didn't. After 25minutes I approached the manager at the other side of the restaurant, explained nobody had taken our drinks order and asked if he could - he said he would be right over. We then watched him approach a table of a large group chatting with them, and he never came to see to us. By now, the two tables who were in after us had their drinks. It then became clear that the table next to us had waited 1.5 hours for their main course - we know this as it hadn't arrived and they complained. The table to our other side had been in for two hours and only had their main course, and another table near to us had their starters delivered after their mains and we heard the staff explain this would be on the house after they also complained. It became clear that, after 35 minutes, and no drinks order being taken from us (despite us asking the manager!) and also the complaints going on around us, that we were not going to get a meal that evening. Therefore, we left and as we did the manager came over and we explained we were leaving; his only response "yeah - the service is unacceptable, sorry" then he walked away. I have never ever experienced anything so poor in any restaurant. We promptly walked to Fina (an Italian restaurant opposite) and got a lovely table, an ice bucket with our wine within 3 minutes of being in the restaurant, and excellent service throughout. They really did put Pizza Express to shame.
Pizza Express – MacclesfieldWe visited on Sunday 17 October and were very impressed. Lovely surroundings, good service, great food at a reasonable price. What more do you want?.
Red Lion – Macclesfieldhad sandwiches here for lunch after stopping off from the middlewood way 2 slices of bread cut into 4 a bit of salad and a few crisps chips where extra so for about £7 a bit pricey but drinks ok not a rip off for a bottle of wine around £7 so nice for a drink but pricey to eat
The Miners Arms – Macclesfieldevery thing is measured out i.e 1 tomato 4 strips of chicken 8 croutons etc how do we know this we complained about how small everything was and the manageress told us this very pricey for drinks also bottle of beer £4
Pizza Express – Macclesfieldthought this place did not do food but allowed you to take in your own takeaway or have one delivered
Dunstan Inn – MacclesfieldWe always go to this chippy as they are the best fish and chips. Arthur and his staff are very friendly whenever we go for a takeaway.
Crompton Road Chippy – Macclesfieldvisit to the macclesfield pizza express and we both had the chicken polo salad well the chicken on both our plates was pitiful about 4 small pieces each when we called the manager over she explained that you get half a chicken fillet each and that how it is for every pizza express but we have had meals in buxton and Manchester and their chickens must be a lot bigger we asked about the tomato and that it was 1 cut into 4 pieces "yes that's correct was the answer "now we are not big eaters but £9 for this is the big high street rip off of the year
Pizza Express – MacclesfieldVery good food, had the carvery plenty to choose from.Would go again.
Legh Arms and Blackboy Restaurant – MacclesfieldSuperb Cantonese Cuisine, fantastic service, helpful waitresses!
Deli Garden – MacclesfieldThe food here is very very nice, it is good hearty pub grub (we ate off the bar menu) and the chocolate torte was exceptional. It has it's down-sides though, in particular a female member of staff who did not make us feel very welcome. She took the orders of the other people in the room but not us so I had to ask for a server when I got drinks from the bar, when she came to take our order she did not read us the specials which she did for everybody else. This is a very quaint country pub in a beautiful little village a shame that our experience wasn't better due to one individual who seemed to take a dislike to us.
Legh Arms and Blackboy Restaurant – MacclesfieldChesters is a fantastic place the menu is excellent and the staff are very friendly .
Chesters – MacclesfieldWe have eaten here several times since the new manager has been there. Food and service have always been very good, until of late. Food I can not knock. Very tasty and cooked to perfection. One member of staff behind the bar taking food orders and serving drinks is not acceptable when patrons are three deep trying to be served. One occasion we actually left and went else where. Must be a staffing problem as some tables were late in being cleared too.
Blacksmiths Arms – MacclesfieldI thought the service was outstanding when we visited the Red Lion last weekend. The sun was out, so we eat outside which was really pleasant and we were served well with no problems at all. I really like the setting of the pub, it's set in the peaceful country side of Cheshire and has a great following of regular customers who are really friendly and a good laugh. I would recommend the food to anyone really, because the menu has something for everyone offering high standard of quality. I recommend the peppered T-Bone steak.
