Excellent
Panama Hattys – Manchester City CentreWe had my Wife's Birthday meal Friday evening. Great atmosphere, good food, and a real buzz in the place. A minor hiccup during service was recovered with support from the senior management, and we left late, having had a great time and would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a really good time , with good quality food at reasonable prices.
Annies Restaurant – Manchester City CentreMy husband and I had dinner on Saturday 30th March. It was a little tricky to get to as we'd decided to take the car, so for the benefit of future visitors we would suggest parking at the Arndale NCP and take a cab to the top of Old Bank Street. This is a superb venue, when you first arrive through the door you are greeted by friendly staff in the lounge. It felt so warming and informal in the way it is furnished. We were then led downstairs to be greeted by head waiter who gave such a pleasant greeting. The service really is superb, there was always someone attending to your every need, but without being intrusive. The place was bustling with people, with tables of two to larger parties, you could hear the humorous banter and chatter and the background music was just perfect. The menu was my problem, I wanted everything, I even joked could you do me a buffet of taster options ha ha....full credit to the chef as they really have considered their options. We had to start Bury Black Pudding Spring Rolls....oh they were so good, light crispy batter and the black pudding was a soft texture. I've never seen black pudding served like tat before. Mains were steak, trimmed and cooked perfectly in fact my husband said it was the best steak he'd ever had; whist I opted for Vegetable Cobbler with Cheese Scones and enjoyed very bit. It's rare that I get to dessert but found room for Sticky Toffee Pudding with Custard - very moist sponge and the toffee sauce finished it well. Jenny came around and spoke to everyone which I thought was rather a nice personal touch. The decoration is quite informal but you get a mix of dress, so you wouldn't be out of place in a nice dress or jeans. Jenny and Chris your staff have really done you proud, thank you for making our 'date night' very memorable - needless to say we shall be coming again soon with friends and family.
Annies Restaurant – Manchester City CentreBeen in a few times now and i'ts always been good and now they have even more choice, best buffet in manchester
Manzil – Manchester City CentreGot to be the worst food and service I have ever had. Curry was slop in a bowl. I couldn't tell the difference between different dishes on the table. I think it must all come from one central slop bucket. The staff were rude and the place has no atmosphere. The only thing that was edible was the rice and that was over priced. There are much nicer places to get a good curry in Manchester. I would not eat here again, even if it was free.
Bollywood Masala – Manchester City CentreRecently visited manzil after it was recommended to me by my friends I was pleasantly shocked as to how good it was. The food decor and friendly staff give the place a really relaxing experience. Far better than the nawab, try it you certainly will not be disappointed
Manzil – Manchester City CentreBrilliant food, loved it. recommend it to everyone :)
Manzil – Manchester City CentreMy friend and I came to the restaurant last night as she has been before and raves about it. I'm pleased to say the food was as she had described...beautiful. Yes it was a touch pricey and not something I could do every week but worth every penny. The staff were very pleasant 10/10 will definitely come again. A great way to finish what had been a great day.
Mr Thomas’s Chop House – Manchester City CentreI'm a supprort worker and have taken many of my service users to the Peking court. they love it the food is amazing, the price is good and the hospitatility is second to none. would definitely go again.
Peking Court, The – Manchester City CentreHad business lunch with an important client. I had heard a lot about it. It was truly fantastic and my client was overwhelmed with the service, great food and ambience of restaurant. I personally think its the best restaurant in Manchester. Taking my wife on valentines :)
Avalanche Restaurant – Manchester City CentreCombined the £10 main course and galss of wine lunchtime offer with a starter and dessert, total cost £20. Excellent veggie food, makes a change not to have to select from the also rans on a meat eaters menu. Shows what a bit of thought to a menu can do.
Bistro 1847 – Manchester City CentreI went to this restaurant over the weekend. I was very impressed by the freshness of the fish and the chefs extensive knowledge. The sashimi is the perfect thickness. My little one loves the Eel rice. Definately going back there again. Highle recommend the plum wine. Excellent service and cosy environment. Must go!
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreGreat variety, Great place the best quality buffet i've had at very affordable price.
Manzil – Manchester City CentreStayed at this fantastic hotel on friday night with my wife and we were both very impressed! On arrival we were welcomed and checked in effeciently and quickly. The room was a mix of modern and original features with high ceilings. It was very comfortable with every "mod-con" you could need really. We decided on lunch at the MC Cafe Bar
Ate at this great restaurant on friday night for the first time and we were not disappointed!! Everything I had heard and read about this place was spot on. Firstly, this was one of the busiest restaurants I have ever been to, a good sign!! The number of staff working ensured that although they were busy they were never rushed and someone was always on hand to pour wine or clear empty plates. It really was very well organised chaos! The food was fantastic! I ordered "Pesce Veneziana" for a starter which was very reasonably priced at £8.95. It came and was a huge pan full of scallops, clams, king prawns, mussels and fish in a very tasty tomato broth on a piece of bread soaked in the sauce. This could easily have been a main meal but was exeptional quality and so I ate it alll!! Main course was King prawn spagettini and a lasagne for the wife. Both were excellent quality and very tasty indeed. All washed down with a Chianti Reserva, this was a great experience and I can't wait to go again!!
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreWent here for lunch on Saturday. The restaurant is comfy and looks very good, modern but comfortable. I like the way the restaurant is open to the bar area giving a relaxed feeling to dining here. We were welcomed warmly and drinks followed quickly. On ordering my wife had steak and I had lobster, we thought it only fitting to try both! The steak was very tender and cooked expertly. The lobster was great. I had it grilled and it really was very enjoyable. This restaurant is excellent value for money and of a very high standard. The restaurant staff were all very efficient and friendly, chatting easily with all of the customers. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner and will be returning when next in Manchester!!
Steak & Lobster Manchester – Manchester City CentreThis new branch of the well above average chain only opened on December and consequently on Christmas Eve we were the only patrons dining when we arrived around 1.30pm and we were the last out of the door before it closed at 5pm.There were five in our party, including two kids, and we were seated in a circular booth in the centre of the restaurant which afforded us a great view of the blue lit bar.The design/layout is excellent and the lack of any festivity/ambience was more than compensated for by the privilege of being able to enjoy our surroundings without the usual racket expected at this time of year and to savour the aroma of newness in the wood and leather that pervaded the room until of course our meals were served. The service was naturally attentive but not intrusive; the quality of the food was superb and as for value we were impressed that Prezzo were accepting Tesco Clubcard vouchers throughout December. Thus we only paid for two bottles of a lovely Chianti which was reasonably priced at £18.This venue well exceeded our expectations and we have already returned once for a much less extravagant lunch which was equally enjoyable. We're very pleased that we no longer have to traipse out to Media City to enjoy some quality Italian fayre.
Prezzo – Manchester City CentreOne of the best restaurants in Manchester. We were a party of 20 and we had an amazing time. Food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We will be holding our business lunches here no doubt. The whole experience was just amazing including the light decor, very refreshing indeed.
