Sole Seafood Restaurant & Bar – Manchester City CentreI visited Salvis on Monday and shared the Parma Ham and Mozzarella platter with a glass of wine. The guy who owns the deli was wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wines. He makes different pasta dishes every day and the choice is fantastic. We are going back on Friday and I think this will be a regular haunt!
Salvi’s – Manchester City CentreWonderful atmosphere, very relaxed. Meat and cheese platters superb, prosecco not too shabby either! Staff very knowledgeable and happy to chat in Italian or English. Will try pasta next time as the aroma was mouthwatering.
Salvi’s – Manchester City CentreLovely cocktails, Gorgeous Bar. Dreadful customer service. 6 of us spent well in excess of £100 for 2 drinks each and then were asked, nay told, to vacate our table, which (unlike most of the other tables) had no 'reserved' sign on it. Obnoxious (Assistant?) Manager with absolutely no social deportment or PR expertise. Will not be recommending to my Clients!
Panacea – Manchester City Centrevisited Panama Hattys this week with my partner, the venue was amazing and extremely intimate, however although the meal was presented well/we both had steak ( which was definitely not to my liking)it was a shame as it definitely put a downer on our evening. will we be going back probably not!
Panama Hattys – Manchester City CentreI went to Tokyo Season for a late lunch on Sunday with my girlfriend. We have ordered a sashimi platter and a few forty percent off sushi. All food is fresh and in good presentation but very poor service. We asked for hot water to top up our green tea cups. The waitress seems don't know what we saying. She brought us tap water with ice. So we explained again, she rolled her eyes, raising her voice "Hot water is not free." With a fed up attitude. I wont go again for a poor service like this. As a customer we all want good service, nice food and value for money.
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreGreat dim sum, great value and a great waitress that helped us with the ordering and selection. Would recommend further visits.
New Emperor – Manchester City CentreHeard lots of good things about this restaurant... will be booking a table for the weekend...
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreAfter finding the restaurant on Sugarvine 5 of us went for lunch last Monday. What a wonderful time we had. we don't usually eat oriental food for lunch but we will definitely be going back. We all had the set lunch which was very reasonable. lovely place, great food and good time was had.
Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreDelicious authentic Japanese food in a genuine izakaya atmosphere…I try to eat here at least once a week whilst working away from home…My wife’s Japanese, the food here is every bit as good as the home cooking I miss…highly recommended!
Yuzu – Manchester ChinatownThis is the best restaurant in china town. The shanghai pork chop is to die for.Always friendly and knowledgeable staff and great wine list .
Pearl City Cantonese Restaurant – Manchester City CentreThe many times I have been,I have not been disappointed;lunch was excellent,as was dinner, but Sunday lunch was exquisite.Fresh, local fare of the best quality, friendliest of staff, and a yorkshire pudding to die for.I cannot recommend highly enough.
English Lounge – Northern QuarterVery delicious and authentic Japanese food. Friendly Staff and good prices. It was worth it just to have agedashi tofu ! I would highly recommend this restaurant
Yuzu – Manchester ChinatownI attended the wine tasting last Wednesday the wine was awesome and the food was fabulous especially the caramelised pears with parma ham.! I would recommend it to everyone!
Giovannis – Manchester City CentreReally lives up to it's name - my meal was A Shocker. I ordered the special starter (mixed tikka everything) as a main course at a £3-50 supplement (£9.45) which was described as a delight and served on a sizzler. It arrived on a cold plate without the Tikka Lamb. I queried it and was told it didn't come on a sizzler and didn't have lamb. It was still starter size as well. Eventually they agreed to give me lamb as it said on the menu, but it arrived 15 minutes later by which time all the rest was cold. They warmed the rest up for me in a microwave - including the salad !! Avoid
Ashoka – Manchester City CentreThoroughly enjoyed my meal and time here, last week with some of my friends. The food was excellent and tasty. The service was efficient and friendly. The general atmosphere here was pleasant and vibrant. I would recommend people to try it out.
Ashoka – Manchester City CentreI have been to Oklahome twice. The first time I was very impressed with the shop itself and also ordered some food to take away: sweet potato with lentils. Although it wasn't cheap, it was a good size potato and the topping was really nice. So I went again. After spending £30 in the shop I went to get a sweet potato with goats cheese and roasted vegetables to find out that the price had gone up and it was now £5.50!! I still got the potato but to my disappointment it was a lot smaller and the vegetables were not well cooked so it was a very disappointing and expensive lunch! The guy at the till wasn't particularly nice either... It is a shame as I love the concept of the shop but you don't get value for money with their food and for the price they should really try to work on their service.
Oklahoma Cafe + Gift Shop – Northern QuarterI have recently eaten in Cafe Istanbul for business meetings where the food, service and surroundings were excellent. Having had such an amazing experience I now use Cafe Istanbul for personal dinners. The menu is extensive with amazing choices cooked with the finest ingredients! The wine list is extensive and the staff are knowledgeable No wonder this restaurant is longest run privately owned restaurant in Manchester!!! I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!!
