We were in San Carlo's last Wednesday and noticed the atmosphere was abnormally busy for that time of the week, we were informed by one of the waiters that it was due to the fact that JLS were dining just a couple of tables away from us! When we exited the restaurant we got caught up in a paparazzi flash storm trying to capture the footballers coming out of the restaurant, it was just like being in New York! The busy atmosphere did not, however, tar the service or quality of the food which was exquisite as always. We had a very glamorous night out and the whole experience further emphasised what a credit the restaurant is to Manchester.

called in last fri by chance and should have walk past have been eating in manchester for over 25 years and this has got to go down as one of the worst yet my wife left her starter and main it was that bad she had to buy something to eat on the way home never again duncan

Visited Rosso twice since it opened two weeks ago and have to say I'm impressed. Great venue, fantastic service and the food is amazing. Try the steak with truffle mash - it's out of this world! Good place to visit just for a drink too, the cocktail bar has a good atmosphere and wide selection of favourites, all with a modern twist. Would highly recommend checking it out.

Once again Zouk came up trumps,we were well attended too on a very very busy Friday evening,we have even found a quite place to park.Everything about the place is spot on ,service,food,ambiance,price.They have set a high standard and we hope they retain the quality of service and food,well done.

I ate in here with my girlfriend and some friends couple of weeks ago, food was very good and reasonably priced. Selected from the set menu, good choice for under a tenner!! Not sure i'd go back after seeing the toilets though!!

Lovely meal last week! Cocktails were fantastic. A thoroughly enjoyable evening! Highly recommended.

Gotta to admit our Sunday afternoon tea at Zouk was superb,just right,with a lovely 'busyish' atmosphere. 28 quid for the two of us,pompas ,starters ,three mains ,rice and a naan (no bevvy,just water) and it was excellent.Just about, now with all things considered ,decor,ambiance,atmosphere,price,we rate as the best in Manchester,and we try them all. Highly recommended and that makes a change.

I went to San Carlo on Friday evening, with my wife and 2 very good friends. It was extremely busy, but service was still excellent, and the food was amazing. The Tiger Prawn starter, with gorgonzola, coffee and chilli, were stunning. I will definitely be back.

As always, another wonderful evening with a feeling of being in Italy for a few hours thanks to the waiter who served us again and recommended the best of the menu! I have travelled the world but never found such a wonderful and professional man who made me (and my fiends) feel so special! If you read this message and go to San Carlo, ask for Ciro! Bad and Good! Just returned from dinner on a Wednesday night. Downside - booked a table for 8pm. Arrived at 7.50pm. At 8.50pm, I explained to the waitress that we had been waiting nearly an hour and at 9pm, we were leaving. Frankly, she couldn't care less. Showed us to our table at 8.55pm. Waiter did not smile once. Looked stressed out. Paid the 10% tip that was already on our bill as too polite to say no. Quite expensive for ok to good food. Upside - nice atmosphere in this very busy restaurant. Food arrrives very quickly. It was ok to good but not amazing. My summary is they over book so they are always busy. I told the waitress if there is always an hours wait for a table, I might as well book for 8pm and turn up for 9am. But no, if that happened, my table would be gone. Clearly, loaded in their favour. "Slightly an element of the kings new clothes!" The owners are besotted with celebrities, ie pictures of footballers everywhere. I'm not bitter but I am sure Ronaldo did not wait an hour for his pre booked table!

I have read the reviews complimenting this restaurant on its customer service. I have to say I couldn't disagree more. Their refusal to even consider adapting their menu to cater for someone with a gluten allergy I found totally unforgivable. If they cannot adapt their dishes are they serving pre prepared meals??

The best Indian food in MCR, I can't recommend it highly enough. Chef Khim Lal Gaire is a complete star! Everything from poppadoms to pudding is wonderful and the staff are so welcoming it makes the whole experience perfect. A special thank you to Karwan and Jam. 10/10

I had a great Sunday lunch here yesterday, I believe it was the first week they had been open with Robert Owen Brown cooking. It is always a pleasure to eat ROBs food and I wasn't let down. I enjoyed pot roast wood pigeon with black pudding and elderberry along with a great bottle of zinfandel. I was pleased to see that this pub has received the refurbishment it deserved and I am looking forward to returning time and time again. Thanks Rob

I've been eating at Tampopo in Albert Sq since my return to Manchester in 2004 and can honestly say that I have always left more than satisfied. The tempura vegetables are amazing and the the mixed platter superb. I can also recommend the strips of rare beef on the most delicious aromatic tomato and spring onion salad. Have yet to try the soups but they do look amazing.

It's not the 1st time i'm writing review on this restaurant. I think i am slightly obsessed with it:) since it opened i had a meal there at least once a week i just can't get enough of this place... Everything about it is perfect - food was fabulous every time, staff so welcoming and attentive, service so professional, very friendly owners and good atmosphere. What else could you wish for?! I recommend this place to everyone!

OMG!!! The most delicious curry I've had in a long time. This place is fab, the decor, the service I couldn't fault anything! And all reasonably priced too. Will definitely be back, I want to work my way through the menu!! Yummy, yummy, yummy!
