Khan Baba – Manchester City CentreI HATE this place. I hate it because I came close to leaving my wife, packing in my job and working here as a toilet cleaner in exchange for one meal a day from this fantastic restaurant - this has been my favourite restaurant experience since I dined at the Fat Duck 3 years ago. This is without doubt the best Japanese food I have had and I've eaten a lot plus the proprieter Monica is an absolute sweetheart (not to mention a stone cold hotty!). I'm struggling to find words to describe how good this is, everything - and I mean EVERYTHING I have eaten there has been sublime - best gyoza by far, best salmon sashimi by far, best beef sashimi by far, best yakisoba by far - need I go on? If you enjoy impeccable food in a great little restaurant with fantastic staff and an out of this world hostess then you must try this place - I highly recommend asking nicely and giving Monica free-reign to choose your menu, a friend and I did and for £50 (well £60 really, I left a £10 tip) we had one of the best meals of our lives. So good I have eaten there at least 18 times in the past 2 months. Be nice to your tastebuds, treat them to a meal at Tokyo Season!
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreWouldn't eat here again. Ordered a vegetarian lasagna and was served a meat lasagna! Not good for a veggie of over 20 years..
Villaggio – Manchester City CentreJust wanted to say to all - what a fantastic day me and my husband had at Zouk's Indian cookery classes. It was absolutely brilliant we had a really fabulous days.. The cookery demonstration and learning was fun, as well as being very informative, there was plenty of time to ask questions and too see someone who is so passionate about a food in action was quite mind blowing. The lunch we all shared together was the best Indian food we've ever eaten. I would highly recommend this amazing cooking class to anyone who enjoys a relaxed fun environment and good food.
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City Centrezouk zouk zouk we just love zouk! Me and my friendz have come twice in 1 week. the staff are so helpful and friendly and the food is delicious i recommend this place to every one its excellent quality food n best service we will be back to zouk soon thanks for such lovely evenings!
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City CentreDisappointing! We came to Try Thai first about 2.5 years ago and loved it. Since end of 2009 they extended the restaurant significantly with a whole new business approach. Even though it looks quite fancy now in the new bit it has completely lost it's charm and character and the quality of food has deteriorated significantly too. The simple and friendly restaurant is now a Chaophraya style restaurant with loud pop music and just average quality food and service. We are on the quest of finding a new favorite Thai restaurant now.
Try Thai – Manchester City CentreThis was our 6th time in Zouk and we loved it once again! It was the 1st time we tried vegetarian selection and it was absolutely delicious....Delicate flavours of Dall Handi and just the right amount of spices in Mili Juli Sabzi were out of this world and their nans...What can I say about that...? Amazing...Best nan bread in Manchester.. In all 6 times i've been there we always tried different food and every single time it appears to be exceptionally good. They've got wide range of not only usual Indian food but a fantastic selection of seafood and steaks and very odd - French desserts, however it works brilliantly together! Staff is always very friendly and polite and will go extra mile for you to feel satisfied and enjoy your dining experience. So i can recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good Indian food and looking for great time out!
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City CentreThe worst service I have ever had. Waited to get seated for 5 minutes while waitresses walked past us and ignored us. Then we got seated, lots of other people Got served 20 mins later we still hadn't got served so we left. Will never go back to tampopo.
Tampopo – Manchester City CentreReally enjoyed the food and surroundings, the soup was delicious and just what I needed!
Ning – Northern QuarterThis is the best Japanese food I have eaten outside of Japan! The food was so fresh, prepared to order and there was a very welcoming atmosphere. Also, this is the only Japanese place I've been to that does the crab salad nigiri, which was soooo good. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone. Go!
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreGet place - prefer the Bury shop to Manchester for the atmosphere but food Evey bit as good. Excellent food and very reasonably priced. Please think about opening one in Bolton - it would go down a storm.
Katsouris – Manchester City CentreAwful service - terribly sulky waiter who didn't want us there even though it wasn't busy. Shame as food was nice - although cold as waiter couldn't be bothered bringing it to us. Manager not must use either as ignored our complaints. Never going there again. Avoid this restaurant - isn't worth the bother.
Khan Baba – Manchester City CentreI love chaophraya! the atmosphere, the people and the food is amazing!! So many flavours, the taste buds explode!! I love the authenticity too, the Thai cushions in the bar are a great touch
Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreReview of Akbar's restaurant, Manchester. I visited at the end of December 2009. Although the service was good, and the starters were fairly decent, the main meal was a complete let down. I ordered chicken dish. They used a mixed bag of chicken meat. The menu clearly described the dish as being made from chicken breast meat. That was clearly not the case. They had used other parts of the chicken e.g. leg etc. Also the Naan was a bit stale. Overall, just a bit too much on the greasy side.
Akbars – Manchester City CentreExcellent food as always. The tandoori haddock was absolutely fabulous in the way it turned this bland English fish into something so deliciously tasty. Highly recommended!
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City Centrevery good food , good choice of menu portion size was perfect, great ambience with modern decor. We all loved the mangers sense of humour too!
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City CentreAn amazing place. Great home cooked food, great staff, lovely environment. Went here for lunch with friends and had a great time. The food was spot on and the service was excellent. The Crepes and homemade Tiramisu are a must!!!
Papa G’S Grill and Bar – The PrintworksWe were in San Carlo's last Wednesday and noticed the atmosphere was abnormally busy for that time of the week, we were informed by one of the waiters that it was due to the fact that JLS were dining just a couple of tables away from us! When we exited the restaurant we got caught up in a paparazzi flash storm trying to capture the footballers coming out of the restaurant, it was just like being in New York! The busy atmosphere did not, however, tar the service or quality of the food which was exquisite as always. We had a very glamorous night out and the whole experience further emphasised what a credit the restaurant is to Manchester.
