Was in Villaggio last night very good atmosphere very good food and staff was very pleasant I would definitely recommend this restaurant best one in the village
Villaggio – Manchester City CentreWe visited English Lounge today for Sunday Lunch. Unfortunately they had ran out so we were given another menu. We shared a starter of feta cheese and spinach parcels then main courses of steak frites with onion rings and the hot chicken sandwich. The food was ok but I thought it was slightly expensive at £28 (with 2 1/2 pints of coke) for what it was. The service was good though so I'd like to go back to try the Sunday menu.
English Lounge – Northern QuarterWe went to Piccolino? recently for a meal. The atmosphere was lively and bustling - it was 7.30 on a Friday. The food was amazing- well seasoned and lots of it. The only criticism we have is that we were very rushed. I hadn't even finished my last mouthful of starter when the main course was placed in front of me. We had a starter, main and coffee and were finished in an hour. If Piccolino? could get rid of the maximum cover approach that they quite clearly have this would be the best Italian in town!
Piccolino- Caffe Grande – Manchester City CentreVery very good! Best curry house in Manchester, beats anything on Curry Mile, by a mile!
East z East – Manchester City CentreBeen here a few times the service is fairly attentive, and friendly. There are special touches like frozen glasses for the beer! The food is fresh and tasty, and I believe if you go early on they still do their earlybird deals.
Caffe Nero – Manchester City CentreMy first experience of Mexican cuisine. I really enjoyed the food. The dishes were simple yet very satisfying and the price was very reasonable.
Barburrito – Manchester City CentreAbsolutely fabulous.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreReally good service, food and venue. Thankfully non smoking now.
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreI visited Gaucho on Thurs 15th Feb with my boyfriend. We had heard that the food was great but the service wasn?. We were pleasantly surprised by both, the food was absolutely out of this world, the steak just melts in your mouth! The service was great too.. very attentive without being too 'in your face'. I loved this place and will be returning very soon!!! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion!
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreWent for lunch on Saturday with my mum and daughter (4). Set price lunch £6.95 for 1 course £9.95 for 2 courses was excellent value. Menu included salads, pizza, pasta and risotto. Shared Chili Sirloin Pizza smoked haddock risotto with my mum. Both were delicious but in particular the risotto which was topped off with a beautifully poached egg. The little madam had the kids meal which was great pizza and proper ice cream. Will be back to try the a la carte in the evening.
Alberts Shed – Manchester City CentreIn spite of the recommendations on Sugarvine we happened upon this restaurant by a bit of good fortune. I seem to remember reading something about the unusual menu and was intrigued. We have been coming to Red Chilli for several years now and have never been disappointed. The food is great, the service is spot on and the whole atmosphere is fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys spicy Chinese food. My advice is to be imaginative. The seabass dishes or the claypots are a good place to start. By the way, Red Chilli in Leeds can't hold a candle to this place. The food is fine but the atmosphere is far too stuffy.
Red Chilli – Manchester City CentreDinning out in Manchester just got Much Much better. Entertainment...Excellent service .. Exceptional food . A MUST TRY FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT. Marchello .Manchester
Sapporo Teppanyaki Manchester – Manchester City CentreWhat an absolute delight. Valentine's night and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food and service is excellent. We ordered nachos to share and there was enough for 4 never mind the two of us. I over indulged on a 16 oz Rump Steak which as far as rump goes it was the best I have ever had 'and trust me I like my steak', it was cooked to absolute perfection. My wife had fajitas and just couldn't finish them. The portions are of a grande style. The wine was delightful - a torres rose for only £15 - and then there was Kwak - 8% Belgium beer served in unique kwak glass. For the sheer dining pleasure, the outstanding service and a menu we intend to sample further, I can safely say that Panama Hatty's is a place we will definitely dine at again. This knocks the socks off any high street eatery 'latin american or other', and is a strong contender in my book to tantalize the tastebuds of any distinguished food critic. What more can I say.
Panama Hattys – Manchester City CentreOne of, if not, my favourite restaurant in Manchester, so much so it has now become my friendly local (although I'm not Turkish!). Fit waiters, always an incentive to visit (!) and bar staff who exceeded all my expectations. (Especially the curly haired one.) They should give her a raise, otherwise I might poach her for my own restaurant.. and sling her on my shoulder and run off into the distance with her, tequila in hand. Sorry, I meant Raki. Definitely worth a visit!
Efes Restaurant & Taverna – Manchester City CentreWe visited the restaurant on a busy Saturday night and the interior is beautiful. We ate in the private dining room which was ideal for a large group. The food was very good but again we waited far too long before the whole party was served their main course and vegetables. The service was poor on the whole and at times we were made to feel as though the waiter was doing us a huge favour which was a shame as it spoilt a good evening.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreVery good value for money. An excellent place to take the family out for a meal.
Buffet City – Manchester City CentreVisited Sunday early evening with my 4 year old. Great mix of clientele. Couldn't fault anything. The best Chinese food I have eaten in quite a while, obviously fresh, beautifully flavoured not too heavy or cloying as some can be. The sea bass at market price worked out very reasonable at £20 for a large fish. Lovely service too. I really recommend this place and my daughter keeps asking if we can go after school for tea.
Little Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreWe were just in China town and thought we'd see what it was like. The food was very good and there's a good selection of vegetarian dishes. We are going back soon!
