Harvey Nichols Second Floor Restaurant – Manchester City CentreI have been many times and it always maintains a very high standard. The food is excellent and always fresh and authentic. The staff are professional, very polite and efficient. It's ideal for theatregoers - if you tell them, you can have an aperitif, three courses, coffee and pay, easily in under an hour. If you want a leisurely meal however, it is advisable to tell them that you are in no rush. Overall, excellent food, good service and not expensive.
Topkapi Palace – Manchester City CentreWe were a party of 6 over the holiday period but were seated immediately. The food was both superb and plentiful, as no one had been checking the prices when ordering the bill (including 4 starters, 3 bottles of wine, beer, 2 desserts and coffee) of £180 was exceptional
Panama Hattys – Manchester City CentreI have eaten at Villagio on two occaisions with two different groups of friends, both times have been excellent. The staff are friendly and the service is very good. I will most certainly take other friends there in the future.
Villaggio – Manchester City Centreeasily the grandest restaurant we have been to in manchester, and the food aws excellent.went to the groucho in amsterdam last week and that was good too. if you like steak OUTSTANDING.
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreThe food was excellent, location very good but the service was poor. Waiter seemed uninterested that main course was going cold whilst waiting for vegetables to be served and was at times rude.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreEnjoyed one of the best meals out all year at this fabulous restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic, the restaurant itself totally gorgeous and the service perfect. My food really was incredible. So much so that I am busy taking to Room about using it as a wedding venue. Go before everyone else finds out about Manchester's newest, best and coolest place for dinner.
Grand Pacific restaurant and bar – Manchester City CentreA lovely place, warm atmosphere, good food and good service!
English Lounge – Northern QuarterBeen going to El Rincon now for a good few years, I highly recommend the tapas, (love the mussels) have yet to sample the calamari, every time I order it's not on the menu. Great atmosphere and friendly staff and the owner used to play for Stockport County!
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreIm from Surrey and was told to visit the English Lounge, for a true English Experience, and let me tell you it was....The food was excellent, and of good value, a good choice and range of continental dishes, cooked perfect, I couldn't hardly move to get to the cinema, a great place to eat, and drink some good ranges of beers.
English Lounge – Northern QuarterAn uplifting experience, even if you were to pop your head in the 'English Lounge', staff, apart from being outstanding in service, were approachable, and funny!!! The food, beautiful, plentiful, and more presentable than some other expensive restaurants I have visited....Well done on the re-furbishment, a real experience.
English Lounge – Northern QuarterI love Grinch, have been going for years but can only get to it once a year now since we moved. It? consistently good, reliable and the attitude of the staff refreshing. Unpretentious food well executed, presented and at a good value. I don? know why they are not on Sugarvine, so that everyone knows about them.
Mud Crab at Grinch – Manchester City CentreMy first visit here was at the least, very very entertaining. The service was top notch. For example, our lively host, seeing there was only 2 of us, went out of his way to find us a cosy table for 2. The food was excellent - and you do get lots of it so come hungry! Throughout our meal the waiters made sure we were at ease - and this was on a busy Saturday night. I'd definitely return again and again.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreWent to Velvet on a Wednesday night and the whole evening was brilliant. Huge portions!! They do an offer of a starter & main for £11.95 from 3-7pm & it was well worth it as that? the price for a main dish alone. Our table had mussels to start, and a mixed combo (mussels were delicious) and then Moroccan Lamb (beautifully cooked on a tomato-stew like base) and a sirloin steak with masses of chips & a huge salad. We couldn? finish our main courses & next time (there will definitely be a next time!) would probably just opt for mains! A brilliant, intimate, lavishly furnished restaurant - perfect for drinking copious amounts of wine with delicious food. Brilliant!
Velvet – Manchester City Centreunbelievable, definitely the best chinese restaurant in europe.
Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreBeen a couple of times in the past weeks . must say what a fab place this is. the food atmosphere the whole kit and caboodle. very good
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreWhat more can I say about the place except always a pleasure. We eat there as often as we can, the food is great, the service is great & the ambience is great. All this at a reasonable cost.
Piccolino- Caffe Grande – Manchester City CentreAlways a very nice place to eat with tasty food & a good atmosphere at a reasonable price. Try the main floor on a Saturday night for the Blues Guy. Can be a bit noisy but a unique offering for a meal in Manchester on a Saturday night. Try the Mussels for Starter & Zizi (meatballs) for the main if they're still doing them - excellent.
