Panama Hattys – Manchester City CentreA large group pf us arranged to go here for a birthday celebration. We were provided with a private room towards the back of the restaurant which was perfect. The service was fantastic and the food although a little pricey was worth every penny. Definitely worth a visit in my opinion
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreWe had a wonderful relaxed evening here. The service was excellent the food was great! Would definitely recommend and definitely go again!!! GREAT
Panama Hattys – Manchester City CentreThe biryani on Friday competes with the meatballs on Tuesday for excellence - best to sample both!
Al-Faisal Tandoori – Manchester City CentreEl Rincon is amazing, Went on a works night out, I opted for the chorizo and prawns then followed by meet paella Will be going again-Fabulous!!!!!!
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City Centre8 of us ate at Sweet mandarin for my birthday, the service was excellent and they really made you feel special, we had the £15 banquet which again was excellent, really tasty and great value for money! A great little find with fantastic service!
Sweet Mandarin – Northern QuarterThe steak here is fabulous however when the tables are practically one on top of another it is harder to relax. The starter menu was low on choice on a Saturday evening and the service was acceptable.
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreExcellent Chinese restaurant, not the usual Cantonese fare that you find in most Chinese restaurants. The Sichuan dishes can be very spicy (heat guide in the menu). These are genuine Sichuan dishes. Try the Gung Bo dishes or the Hot hot. This is one of regular Chinese haunts. Very reasonable too.
Red Chilli – Manchester City CentreI haven? actually eaten here, but as it's listed as a bar I thought I'd comment on the cocktails, which are fantastic. Vanilla Mojito absolutely sublime. They have some seriously good Brazilian cocktail staff here, and the bar itself is stunning. Definitely the benchmark bar in town now, everybody else play catch up.
Panacea – Manchester City CentreChina City has now been totally refurbished and so is now much brighter (Beige), has new furniture, new bathrooms, and a new style of menu though the content has not changed. The staff are the same, but with new black uniforms. The service and the food are forever still brilliant, and the cost is also still the same. I recommend that if you haven't been for a while, or you had misconceptions about this restaurant before, then it's worth going back even if it's just for a nosy!!
China City – Manchester City CentreHave to say that this is probably the best Chinese in town, and one of the best restaurants overall. They even ask if you would like a break between starters and mains. Friend recently took her father here, and he declared it the best he'd had anywhere outside China, where he spends a lot of time. Can't praise the place enough, amazing DimSum.
Wings – Manchester City CentreBizarre decor, but I like it! Very rock n roll experience, especially on a Sunday when it's packed. Good food and service. Different and tacky in a good way. Definitely Vegas meets Hong Kong .Mmmmmm.
Glamorous – Northern QuarterWe had an absolutely fantastic time from start to finish! Chef Enzo has outdone himself with the amazing selection of delectable regional Italian cuisine. The service was wonderful, and the building is too amazing for words. Being that the wine list is so vast, we tried several bottles between the table and were never disappointed by any of the wines. They were all fabulous and it left us wondering how it is possible to create such a large list of wines, which are so fabulous. We started with the seafood platter, which was like a cornucopia of fruits from the ocean. The flavours were too good for words. Bravo to Stock restaurant and their staff!
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreThe food is a first class -the freshness and flavour are wonderful. The service is excellent and very friendly. Highly recommended.
Sweet Mandarin – Northern QuarterDelicious!! Nothing more to say!
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreI love this place - beautiful waiters, nice food, relaxing atmosphere.
Taurus Cafe Bar and Restaurant – Manchester City CentreThis place is always buzzing - right into the early hours, lots of Chinese customers. An extensive menu, veggies well catered for, it's one of my first choices when going into china town
Pearl City Cantonese Restaurant – Manchester City CentreHad fabulous din sum, with friends who speak Cantonese, and therefore could order off the Cantonese menu. Have since been back - unfortunately the same delicacies aren't available to those of us who can't read Cantonese.
