El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreThe whole experience of eating at Wings is pleasurable. Mr. Wing is a gentleman and along with his staff knows how to look after his customers. Well worth a visit.
Wings – Manchester City CentreI have been too many restaurants in my time, and hadn? found an outstanding one till I went to Croma, best food ever; it? the highlight of a trip to Manchester!!
Croma – Manchester City CentreWhat a lovely place - excellent Meze - better than the Real Greek (supposedly the best Greek Restaurant in London!). Particularly enjoyed the Kotopolo and Halloumi. Staff are friendly and prices reasonable. Also liked the bar where you can have a relaxed drink before or after your meal.
Dimitri’s Tapas Bar Taverna – Manchester City CentreOverall very impressed with the Happy Seasons, it's easy to dine like a King and not break the bank here. Wine list is mainly New World with a couple of French notes; we had an Aussie Chardonnay, which was excellent and priced at a measly £11! We've done a few restaurants round China town - I wouldn't say the Happy Seasons is the place to go for that romantic meal but after saying that some of the best food we've tasted yet - well done! :)
Happy Seasons Chinese Restaurant – Manchester City CentreFirst off - lets start with location - its poor - entrance is within a carpark, plastic flowers surround the dining area, interior is bright with strange lighting - but somehow it works - its brilliantly funny - the food is SENSATIONAL - staff are great and packed - and rightly so - i'll be going back!
Glamorous – Northern QuarterOne of the best
Dimitri’s Tapas Bar Taverna – Manchester City CentreI went there with a group of people and it was simply fantastic. We were 8 and the staff couldn't have been more patient and nice. Food was simply to die for. Seafood soup (with prawns and mussels) was simply spectacular. The prawn crackers that floated through our tables all along were served with a dip that was surprisingly addictive (we kept asking the waiter for more!). Veggies with rice noodles took a bit longer to arrive but were worth the wait. Fish was very aromatic but a bit overpriced. In general a wonderful dining experience. One thing could be improved: the selection of wines.
Siam Orchid – Manchester City CentreTerrific restaurant in the heart of china town - great service and even better food - not your traditional Chinese restaurant eaten both Chinese and Thai and head there every time I? in need of a Asian food fix
Pacific – Manchester City Centreterrific spot to go for a pizza - absolutely the best pizza in town - try the tuna pizza (with no cheese) for you health freaks its gorgeous!!
Croma – Manchester City CentreGreat atmosphere and surroundings. Ideal as a stop off late afternoon or as a place to dine in the evening. Food was very good. Only criticism was the ' Italian ' bread with the antipasto.Seemed more like a couple of slices from a sliced loaf. Otherwise , a great visit.
Croma – Manchester City CentreA good venue for a varied group of people, as they serve everything from burgers to squid! The specials always seem to be very "special". My only gripe is the lack of decent non smoking area.
Restaurant Bar and Grill – Manchester City CentreAfter having a bad experience with another Italian restaurant in the city centre, we were very impressed by Bella Italia, with an excellent menu, lovely food and very good service. We will definitely be visiting again!
Bella Italia – Manchester City CentreI didn't realise that the Living Room had a restaurant upstairs, well it has and it's very nice!
The Living Room – Manchester City CentreThe restaurant is of a modern design, staff very polite. The menu was varied and the food very good. I was impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Restaurant Bar and Grill – Manchester City CentreWhat ever you do, don't mention Wagamama! Whilst it may not seem obvious at first, Tampopo is subtly different to Wagamama. Despite the menu design style, the seating arrangements and the orders scrawled on placemats a-la-Wags, the similarities stop once the food arrives. Wagamama is much more of a fast food Japanese noodle bar, whereas Tampopo is much more pan-asian focussed with noodle (and rice) dishes from Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and of course, Japan. The food itself also has a more authentic feel to it. The use of coriander adds to the genuine taste of the noodles. Prices also come just under the usual noodle bar levels and the service is of a good standard befitting such a restaurant. Great food, good atmosphere and just the right place for an informal meal before going out.
Tampopo – Manchester City CentreI took my wife here last Saturday and we had a fantastic time. The food and atmosphere were perfect. We had to have the fillet steaks for the main with chunky chip and thin chips. Steaks are best we have ever had and their reputation for this is well justified. We have just re-booked a table for all the family in a weeks time as it is rare we all get together and I could not thing of a better place to go. We rarely venture into the city centre but this is well woth it and there is cheap parking nearby. Make sure you have a pud aswell!! Have a good time. Paul
