Wonderful meal. Particularly my main - Halibut steaks in a Red curry Sauce. Mega!
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreVisited Koh Samui on Saturday after reading the reviews on Sugarvine. Thanks for the recommendation. We enjoyed an excellent meal. We ordered 3 starters between the 2 of us. The Thai spring rolls, chicken in pandanus leaf & the spicy Thai Beef Salad (I think my tongue is still tingling from this!). All proved to be a fine selection and set us up for the mains. My wife ordered the Thai Chicken vermicelli (v.good, but nothing exceptional to stand it above other Thai vermicelli's). I ordered the Halibut steaks in a Red Curry sauce. This was exceptional, I savoured every mouthful. All washed down with some of their Thai bottled beer which had clean crisp taste and was nicely chilled. The ambience as good only as the room seemed a little smokey. Not though people smoking, but from the kitchen. People around the restaurant were intermittently coughing, but it didn't really trouble us.
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreCertainly the best buffet in manchester, crispy duck & pancake on both lunch & evening, proper shredded unlike other buffet where I reserve my judgement.Go worth the try!
Peking Court, The – Manchester City CentreThe restaurant and the food was perfect! for my special evening. The only negative comment I would make would be that the attention paid to us by the waitressing service was slightly over excessive.Overall, an enjoyable evening with excellent cuisine.
Wings – Manchester City CentreI was very impressed with The Little Yang Sing; the service was very good, not hurrying you to finish your last mouthful and time in between courses to let your stomach settle before another dish, immaculately prepared, came to the table. The vegetarian options we ordered were varied, certainly more varied than a lot of similar style venues and there was a vast assortment of choices from all sections of the menu. As a meat eater I must also recommended the finest duck in China Town, cooked perfectly and a delicious taste. All in all, one of the best restaurants in Manchester, what are you waiting for? Go Now!
Little Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreAWESOME.
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreCroma has been a firm favourite for myself and friends, however the unchanged (long term) has become very boring. Perhaps its time for a change?
Croma – Manchester City Centrewhat a lovely restaurant if I could eat here every meal I would
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreI absolutely loved this place. it is one of the best restaurants in town. The food can be quite pricey but what you get is superb. There is plenty to choose from.
Old Orleans – The PrintworksThe new (Italian) kid in town, and very good food too. Amused by the sign in the window before they opened, stating that they were going to be a "proper Italian restaurant". This attitude seems to have carried over to the staff at service as well, slightly arrogant, but in an amusing rather than offensive way! The food is authentic, very good Tuna Carpaccio to start and a three pasta / sauce dish for two as main. Wine list rapidly escalates in price, can get the same bottles (like cannanou) five or six pounds cheaper elsewhere in town, house red not too bad. Very busy all the time, check it out, but book for the weekends.
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreWhat can I say? Superb value for money set menus, polite, prompt service and fresh food cooked right in front of your eyes. Great Bulgogi and delicious Kimchi served with a bewildering array of side dishes. The numerous Korean and Japanese cliental will vouch for its authenticity
Koreana – Manchester City CentreNot a huge amount of choice for starters, also found starters very pricey. Menu a little confusing so we opted for the set meal. However when the food come it was absolutely delicious and the service was attentive but not over bearing like most Chinese. Very enjoyable meal. Very nice restaurant.
Little Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreThe best tapas bar in Manchester, great atmosphere and excellent value for money!
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreThe staff seemed to forget that we were there and couldn't raise a smile. Starter was great, main course was bernie inn.
Velvet – Manchester City CentreThis can soon become one of your favourite. City Centre Chinese Restaurants, the food is great, the staff can? do enough for you, very attentive - and the price is amazing. Worth going to for lunch.
Peking Court, The – Manchester City CentreThis is the city centre venture by the eponymous Wing, whose Cheadle Hulme restaurant has been a well kept secret for South Manchester residents for a number of years. He has continued the excellent, and out of the ordinary, range of dishes previously offered and transposed them into a luxurious City centre setting. The outcome is sheer joy! Another huge bonus is that Wings is open from 12 noon to 12 midnight, so searching for pre- or post - theatre eating is a thing of the past. Just try it - you will not be disappointed.
Wings – Manchester City CentreGreat place for steaks although on my visit the lamb ordered by my friend was cooked outside and not inside our starter of pumpkin soup was lovely although we found the wine menu expensive. It? a great place for a visit with Argentinean themes and saddle bar stools also t?s good to be able to see food being cooked which adds to the ambience of the place all in all not bad
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreVisited here with my husband and 2 children 18/9/04. It was very busy but all the staff were very polite and nothing was too much bother. They made a fuss over my children who were in their element. Can't wait to return.
