Gaucho – Manchester City Centrewe visited Koreana out of curiosity and were delighted with what we found. the waitress asked if we were first-timers and made some recommendations from the extensive menu. we had the banquet This is made up of a main course witha selection of weird and wonderful sides. The food was unusual and delicious and we will definately be returning.
Koreana – Manchester City CentreIts the new clic on the bloc and well worth a punt, great food great atmosphere and reasonably priced.
Bluu – Northern QuarterThe best food in Chinatown
New Emperor – Manchester City CentreTHE place to eat a kebab in Manchester. It also passes the very important test of being edible the night after you only managed half of it. The amount of times I awoke to half a kebab and noshed it for brekki! Oh student days where have you gone?
Abduls Fast Food Restaurant – Manchester City CentreSuch a pleasure for all of the senses.
Evuna Deansgate – Manchester City CentreThis is most definitely the BEST Chinese in greater Manchester. It is also quite expensive but you get what you pay for. Their Beef with Scrambled Egg is superb. No Whites of egg used, just yolks (very creamy) with melt in the mouth beef.
Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreThere is no doubt about it - by far and away the best Chow Meins in Britain !
New Emperor – Manchester City Centrewith this restaurant, when i talk about the cost i'm referring to the incredible value lunchtime buffet. Not that much choice but unlimited food well under £10 is in my book superb !
Beijing, The – Manchester City CentreExtremely good. A relaxing atmosphere. Would definately recommend this for lunch as lunchtime specials are reasonable and exceptionally tasty!
Evuna Deansgate – Manchester City Centreexcellent meal, and the surroundings were breathtaking.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreThe Thai food was good but the service was terrible! I just walked through the door when the waitress cornered me for my hi-life card, we hadn't even sat down. Then the waiter didn't show us to the table, he just pointed and said "your table's over there". The service was very poor, they were unfriendly and they didn't smile, not the usual friendly Thai service you would expect. It really ruined the meal which was otherwise good.
Pacific – Manchester City CentreThis truly was one of the best dining experiences I have had for a long time - AMAZING!
Evuna Deansgate – Manchester City CentrePricey - but worth every penny! The food is fabulous, and the choice of Spanish wines and Cava is astounding. Really worth a trip and I will be returning regularly!!
Evuna Deansgate – Manchester City Centrefantastic place to eat and drink
Sinclairs Oyster Bar – Manchester City CentreBased on Sugarvine's write-up, decided to try out Manchester's lastest Chinese experience and we weren't disappointed! Atmosphere-wise it reminded me of a bustling authentic Chinese in Hong Kong - that's to say it was small, busy, bustling and full of local Chinese people eating authentic and "proper" Chinese food! (I did pluck up courage to ask the people on the table next to us what they were eating and it turned out to be Sea Bass stew - looked amazing - head and tail sticking out of a big white bowl!) In fact most of the diners were eating stew-type dishes with vegetable and rice on the side. We (as usual) plumped for the safe "banquet for 2" option which at £22 per person offered more than enough for 4! Choice of soup to start, followed by a plate of Chinese nibbles - crispy wonton, ribs etc., next quarter duck (melt-in-the-mouth), followed by main courses of sizzling beef and prawns with house speciality rice. A bottle of house wine (French and dry) weighs in at £10.50 - a little pricey. (Always think it's a shame more Chinese restaurants don't offer an affordable dry Riesling which goes well with the mix of Chinese flavours), Only disappointment for me was the soy sauce - a little on the salty side, rather than the nicer caramely side. The nibbles dip too was just red sauce - shame it wasn't a Red Chilli dip! On the whole - Red Chilli definitely spiced up our evening. Friendly service, lively atmosphere, great tasting food & lots of it! (And don't be put off if you want to play safe - they're welcoming wether it's Sea Bass stew or sizzling beef!)
Red Chilli – Manchester City CentreWhat can I say? Awesome! A friend had told me about this place and I was a little reserved on my judgment. Well, what a meal! I'm not bothered with the ambience malarkey and so this was right up my street. The guy who served me, Marik, was really friendly and, again, the food (the only reason I went in in the first place) was 9.7 put of 10. Absolutely fantastic. GB
Al-Faisal Tandoori – Manchester City CentreI went for my birthday last Friday and was blown away with the quality of food, the service and ambiance of the restaurant. A real gem in the city I shall be singing from the rooftops about this place for weeks to come. *****
