Kwokman – Manchester City Centretaking a client here for lunch was an excellent idea.good food excellent wine and my company has to pay!i had the best thai fish cakes ever followed by duck which was also good.the best course was the creme brulee granny smith which was divine.my client had beef fillet main course and also expressed how good it was.this is from a food and wine expert who travels the world in search of wines for his cellar at home.the onlt black mark was the fact that we had ordered a wine from the list which the wine waiter had not noticed that it was a different year and therefore not quite as nice.altogether though a most pleasing encounter and all for 133.87 for two which was three courses coffees wine and water.
The River Restaurant at The Lowry Hotel – Manchester City CentreThe food here is really nice but its main selling point is that it is very reasonably priced.
Simple Bar and Kitchen – Northern QuarterThe vegetarian meals are quite bland and dissapointing. However, the meat eaters i went with raved about this place. Apparently the meat kebabs are out of this world and the portions are very big
Dimitri’s Tapas Bar Taverna – Manchester City CentreWe were extremely impressed with our meal here. Since Tiger Tiger is primarily known for being a bar/club, we expected the food to be less important. However, it was gorgeous, if maybe, a little pricey
Tiger Tiger – The PrintworksI have eaten here twice. The more recent visit was quite uncomfortable. The waitress seemed rude. She questioned us when we asked to look at the more expensive menu, doubting our ability to pay, presumably. Previously, the service was wonderful so i hope she was just having a bad day! The food, however, on both occassions was wonderful
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City Centrebrilliant athmosphere, good food excellent greek floor show, The only place in town where the table is yours for the evening open till 2 am disco Live music till 2 am
Bouzouki By Night – Manchester City CentreAn excellent venue for any occasion. The food and wine was exceptional. Classy and elegant decor. I'll be setting an unconventional trend now - I have since booked my wedding reception this summer at one of their swanky bars !! Helena
Tiger Tiger – The PrintworksExcellent wine knowledge and super service generally. Live jazz band created a really great atmosphere. Perfect for a birthday treat.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreThis is my favourite place to go in Manchester for a quick bite to eat when I'm absolutely 'hank marvin'. The menu has a great selection of noodle dishes, ramon soups and some excellent beers. The restaurant decor is ultra-cool but also relaxed and informal. The staff are always extremely quick and friendly. I liked it so much I almost bought a t-shirt!
Wagamama – The PrintworksThis restaurant is possibly the best thai I have ever been to. I often dine here with friends or visiting family and we are never dissapointed by the high standards that are continually met. Their F.A. Cup of steamed rice has to be seen to be believed and you should check out the mid-day special, mega value!!!
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreI ate kebabs from Abdul's almost every day for the first month of uni, and they were delicious, cheap, and had sufficient variety that it didn't get old even after a few weeks. Plus the guys working there were great. Everything about Abduls is magnificent, it is my favourite eatery in Manchester and holds a special place in my heart. I highly recommend it to anybody.
Abduls Fast Food Restaurant – Manchester City CentreWhen I first visited this location it was the original Yang Sing. Later [following the Yang Sing's move to Princess St] it reopened as the Little Yang Sing. It was quite 'little' in those early days - but two renovations later it would be better named the 'Not so Little' Yang Sing! Whist the size has changed the standard of the food & service has not. Still my favourite Chinese restaurant setting standards to measure the rest by!
Little Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreThe tapas at La Tasca Deansgate is in a different league from that at some of the other restaurants in this chain. The service is always brisk but friendly. It's always very busy at the usual mealtimes.
La Tasca – Manchester City CentreA fantastic evening had by all. The food was fantastic, probably the best Thai I've had. Try the Seabass!!
Pacific – Manchester City CentreUsually very busy so book ahead if you definately want to eat here. Definately worth the effort - great food, good service, great atmosphere.
La Tasca – Manchester City CentreGreat italian food, very helpful staff, great look & ambience - go!
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreMay have gone a little downhill since opening, but the buffet deals are second to none.If it had a BYO policy I'd probably never make it out of the place.
