Thank you all for a lovely meal and looking after us for the evening
Arnero – Manchester City CentreBeen here many times and always enjoyed the food and service. Tonight, though was one of the worst experiences both my partner and I have had. The food was terrible. They seemed very short staffed, and no one was checking what was coming out of the kitchen. The chicken wings in BBQ sauce was the warning that worst was to come. The sauce was bland with little taste, more like a weak gravy. Then the chicken risotto, over cooked and tasted burnt but yet cold, far too much salt and garlic, no parmesan cheese or black pepper offered. The spinach and cheese ravioli was more like a soup, watery and foul tasting, far too much salt and garlic and again, no parmesan cheese or black pepper offered. We couldn't eat the main courses. Complained to the waiter who informed us that no manager was in tonight, which I suppose may explain why food wasn't being checked properly before it left the kitchen. We paid for our overpriced wine and left. Maybe it was just a bad night, but we won't be going back again.

Giorgios – Manchester City CentreWe have visited here for lunch earlier in the year but chose to come back for dinner at the end of September as we were staying nearby on our visit to Manchester. The food and service were fantastic, I had the Mario’s a pasta - superb, and my husband had the spaghetti bolognaise which he loved. We would definitely return next time we are down that end of town

Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreThis is the best Italian restaurant in Manchester. We ate here 3 nights running on a long weekend so they must be doing something right! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming despite the fact it is a modern design. Cannot recommend highly enough and Sal the manager is fantastic.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreGreat Italian food as always & freshly cooked. Excellent service- polite , friendly , attentive & helpful. Very much enjoyed our pre- theatre meal.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreI was recommended this place by friends and was really impressed with it. The service was excellent, they were efficient and friendly. The choice of food was great and was well presented. Great flavours. We were there for an early meal so it was a little quiet but can imagine it more lively at other times. Will certainly be returning.
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreFrom the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the service was outstanding Best Italian in Manchester for us, we will be back ♥️
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreWe came here for happy hour cocktails, tried a few different drinks on the menu and loved every single one. Great atmosphere and lovely, attentive staff. We didn’t order food but the dishes being brought out for other tables looked and smelled amazing so will definitely be back to try that!

Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreI had a fantastic meal consisting of chicken risotto followed by tiramisu for dessert and a small bottle of rose prosecco to accompany the meal. The service was excellent and the food tasted great. The restaurant was conveniently located close to my hotel and the nearby conference centre.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreGreat restaurant - my wife and I really enjoyed several courses here and they were all delicious. Indian street food appetisers, grilled meat and fish and a curry - all fantastic. Service was quick, friendly and happy to give advice. Full marks!
Arnero – Manchester City CentreFirst time at Chakalaka and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, first of all the ambience in the place was quite something, greeted by a friendly looking guy who kindly asked where I’d like to seat, the decor def stood out and it was def paying homage to South Africa. I ordered a crème Soda, it was def Lekker! The food itself which was the main reason for going to this restaurant did not disappoint. The curry was lovely only thing I would say is I would have liked it to be hotter (temperature wise) other people that I dined with also enjoyed their meals, The biltong Mac and cheese (this was divine) only shame it was such a small portion (please think about making this Mac and Cheese as a main (it’s delicious) Overall we enjoyed our food, music was cool, Service was good! an enjoyable experience all around. Keep it up!
