Great food and atmosphere, excellent service
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreExcellent food and service. The staff were very attentive and helpful.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreNot the best of experiences if I’m being honest. The waiting on staff, particularly the waitress was extremely pleasant and very nice. However the food wasn’t the best ie Garlic Mushrooms, very salty and hardly any garlic flavour. Two lots of chicken in white wine sauce were half decent but both were served on 3 baby carrots, a few strands of asparagus and 6 anaemic fries, and the risotto was very bland and non descriptive. First time, and probably the last time we’ll eat there, and at £172 for 4 meals I wouldn’t call it reasonable, especially as the meals weren’t that good-pity really.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreLovely food and service . Stunning view sat by the window watching the Trams go by in St Peters Square.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreMy favourite place to eat in Manchester, the food is delicious and the staff friendly and efficient. It's easy to find to.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreWas looking for somewhere a bit different and came across Chakalaka and we weren't disappointed. The good was delicious with generous portions and the staff were lovely. We had Lekker beef ribs and chicken sosatie. Happy Hour was a nice bonus!

Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreGreat authentic South African food and drink. The biltong was fabulous. Lovely team as well
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreTop service, accommodated for my dad's order so well. Attentive staff and super friendly. Food was sublime, the chicken tikka jalfrezi impressed both my season veteran of curry houses father and first timer American friend. Cobra on draft which were quickly and elegantly refuelled when requested. Fantastic space that was gracious to any booking amendments I made on the night. Thank you for allowing me to make some great memories - happy to call this place my local
Arnero – Manchester City CentreThis was our third visit to Gio’s and it certainly wasn’t the same as our last two visits. We ordered a plain garlic bread, a tomato garlic bread & a bruschetta for our starters. The tomato garlic bread and bruschetta were fine but the plain garlic bread had no taste whatsoever and had a huge bubble in it where the bread had risen a lot which was really hard and burnt so we asked for it to be taken off the bill. We then ordered two chicken cacciatore with fries and veg, a pizza mafiosa and a pollo picante for our mains. The chicken cacciatore came in a watery sauce and the fries and veg came under the chicken so the fries were soggy and the portion of fries was tiny also. The pizza was fine but I had to send my pollo piccante back as it was totally bland and had no spice in it whatsoever! The chef remade it and the second time it was how it should have been the first time. It was £6.25 for a 330ml bottle of beer and £3.50 for a Diet Coke which was thought was overly expensive. All in all, it cost us £158 which included a 10% tip which supposedly goes to the staff (not sure how that works when paying on card?) Unfortunately it wasn’t worth paying that amount and we won’t be returning again as it seems like Gio’s are now more concerned about making a profit than serving good quality food to their paying customers.
