Excellent friendly service, lovely food and great drinks!
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreCame last night with my wife 4th March for the pre theatre meal . 22.50 each starter of pate and mushrooms . Mushrooms not was as expecting for an Italian they were not good at all . Wife had pate she enjoyed it but very small amount . Then I had the steak 2.50 supplement very nice bit again very small portion. Wife had lasagne which she really enjoyed . We both had 2xdrinks I had beer she had wine. Was asked to go pay at counter didn't get to look at the bill and was charged £96 . Was shoked ! Think they must of added a service charge which we was not told about it . So for these reasons wouldn't come back sorry.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreParty of 6 post-theatre dinner. Unfortunately seated in back room with no atmosphere. Initial drinks and order taking good. Starters of garlic mushrooms were very poor - tinned and sour taste. Prawn cocktail and garlic bread good. Mains okay but big portions. Also asked for starter portion as mains but came mains size and over-facing. Complaints were addressed at the time and apologies given. I wouldn’t say don’t go, but for £190 for 6 - our money will be spent in another venue next time.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreI regularly visit Manchester for work and this is the first restaurant I head to. I have eaten most of the items on the menu and all are absolutely delicious. Portion size is generous and the food is authentic. I have been there with several Russian and Eastern European friends who have also fallen in love with the place - "it tastes just like how my grandmother used to make it... ". Many of the clientele are from that region which is always a recommendation in my book!! The owners and staff are always very welcoming and friendly. It is getting busier and busier. Work is ongoing to open the upstairs as the new primary restaurant area which I am sure will only enhance the popularity as it will increase their visibility. Also a great place for a light lunch....
Armenian Taverna and Restaurant – Manchester City CentreIt was a quiet evening when we had a table for six. We were given a warm welcome. However, the prawn cocktail was served without bread. The main course came with very few vegetables. I asked (twice) for more and they came too late. We were given a complimentary drink at the end and our 9 year old was made a fuss of. On the whole, we were fairly satisfied , but I am not sure whether we want to come again.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreBeen before. Service good, food good, quiet atmosphere which is what I like. Will definitely go back. Even got a free tea and coffee at the end of the meal!
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreAmazing food with lovely friendly staff and great atmosphere. Was already my second time visiting and definitely won’t be the last!
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreGreat authentic southern African food. My home away from home. Great staff and unreal food and cocktails. Will definately be coming back again
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreGreat pre- theatre meal with excellent service and super food
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreBest italian we have EVER had! It was amazing from start to finish. The ice cream for pudding was to die for! The staff were so friendly and attentive and the pre theatre menu was amazing value for money. Unreal sized portions and great tasting, authentic italian food. Will definitely be back! Very clean and well presented too! 10/10 from me. Myself and my family haven’t stopped raving about this place! Great little find!
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreGood service, friendly staff and tasty authentic Italian food. We really enjoyed our lunch and will be back.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreWent here due to reviews our experience wasn't great. Table booked for 5.30pm for pre theater dinner 2 courses. 3 adults and a 4 yr old. We arrived on time and were shown to a table in a back room where there were 4 other diners at that time. We waited 20 mins for drinks order to arrive and waited for ordered meals.3 starters and a child portion of a main. The 3 starters took nearly a further 30 mins to arrive and were really not great garlic mushrooms seemed to be tinned and tasted sour. Toast with pate was cold and hard uneatable but we went on......no child drinks available as an option. 2 out of 3 starters went back barely touched...mains arrived at 18.55pm barely 30 mins from start of show we'd booked and a full hour and a half after our arrival. We asked several times where our food was and were told it will be with you in a few mins.. not true. 3 mains were served childs meal was missing we informed we had to be at theater and needed them to get food served. Food quality was lacking we ordered 1 x chicken dish 2 x pizzas and a childs bolognese the food arrived at 6.53pm giving just 35 mins to eat and get to theater. We rushed our mains to get us to theater in time and left most of the food which wasn't great anyway. When we mentioned issues we were told well we're busy....not my problem I paid over £100 for substandard food and service with no apology from staff. Really unhappy we eat out a lot and this was so disappointing food quality was poor but service was abysmal feel ripped off full theater dinner price for a child portion of spaghetti is disgusting and we're very unhappy by lack of customer care and lack of interest in our comments when we paid the bill which were polite. My advice is don't bother save your money it spends anywhere.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreAs always a lovely atmosphere, great service and tasty, value for money food
Armenian Taverna and Restaurant – Manchester City CentreCame her for pre theatre menu, food was delicious and quick. Staff were great and very attentive. As its only a small restaurant there seemed to be a few too many tables as we were very close to the next table.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreAte here for the first time. Chose from the set pre-theatre menu. The food was delicious, the tomato garlic bread was the best I’ve tasted! Enjoyed 3 courses and all of them were cooked/prepared perfectly. The staff made the visit even more enjoyable, the manager (or owner) served us and was attentive and engaging. Will definitely visit again and recommend to family/friends. Thank you!
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreWent for a pre concert dinner, we didn't choose the set menu as it didn't appeal, but really enjoyed bread and olives then cannelloni and pollo alla Milanese. Service was quick and pleasant even though restaurant was very busy. We did have to ask for water, this should be provided as standard. Will definitely come again before going to Bridgewater Hall.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreLovely meal here, food was excellent, service was outstanding , and the restaurant is very cosy.
Arnero – Manchester City CentreFrom the moment we walked in for a pre theatre meal the staff were attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was great. We all enjoyed our food and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Perfect start to our evening.
