Teppanyaki Chinatown – Manchester City CentreVisited Armenian Taverna for the second time in the last few months. Really excellent again - good and friendly service, nice atmosphere and some really nice aromatic food - we ordered a lot of starters as always, with the Ararat Pie (like a Samosa, but much better!!) and Yershig lamb sausage really good. For mains, the Stuffed Aubergine and Mixed Khorovats both excellent also. I will be back again soon...
Armenian Taverna and Restaurant – Manchester City CentreLovely atmosphere, food and good value for money. We went on a Saturday evening - later than our booking due to traffic issues! However our reservation was kept. I have been before and had the pretheatre menu which is great value for money. This time we had from the main menu. Lots of variety and good side portions Great service. Slight issue with one of the puddings but this was rectified and taken off the bill with no complaints. We will definitely be back.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreVery good
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreGreat
Armenian Taverna and Restaurant – Manchester City CentreOur first visit, very impressed with the spotlessly clean restaurant, we had the fixed three course menu the service was first class as was the food, good sized portions every course was delicious, we will be back.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreI always go to Gio’s pre concert with friends. Service is excellent and rapid. Waiters are all friendly and helpful. The food quality is always superb. The venue is warm welcoming and friendly. It is easy to book online. It is an excellent venue for the Bridgewater and is always full. The prices are good and good variety on the menu
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreExcellent pre-show dinner & excellent value for money
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreGreat service and fantastic food. As an expat you don’t realize how much you miss your “home” food. We definitely plan on visiting once a month.
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreThe food and service were very good. I have only marked it down for atmosphere because we were in the back room which felt rather subterranean!
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreWe arrived in good time, the place was completely packed no empty tables. I gave my name and we were shown to the bar to wait. More people were coming in who had also prebooked a table, it was quite crampted, A couple came in gave there name, and the waiter came to us and said i felt accusingly that their name was Wood the same as ours, as if i was lying about our reservation, how would i know someone elses booking. A table came available, i asked if it was for us, he said no, i reminded him that our booking was for 6pm, which we were past, we got the table. We would have been better going to pizza hut, the food was not that good, it was expensive i will not be going back.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreIt was OK. Pre Theatre menu. Looks reasonable but with a couple of sides, drinks and one dessert soon racked up to £85 which wasn’t quite so reasonable for a pasta meal. The 10% service charge is not acceptable. The service was ok so I didn’t feel like I should challenge it, and I would have tipped, but feel it is cheeky ! We went there because we thought it would be cheaper than San Carlo. I wish I paid the few pounds extra for better food and experience!

Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreI visited Chakalaka over the weekend, and what a joy it was for me as an expat Saffa. Got my favourite Hunters Dry, biltong, droewors and other yummy dishes in a nice relaxed atmosphere. The venue itself was comfy and quirky and the service great. I am sure some of the classic recipes will not satisfy every person, but we loved it and ate WAYYYY too much!!
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreGreat food, good value lunch deal menu. Would recommend.
Armenian Taverna and Restaurant – Manchester City CentreLovely little hidden gem in the Northern Quarter. Great atmosphere and good value. Look forward to discovering the beer garden in the future.
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreA superb pre-theatre meal with friends, fabulous friendly staff.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreBooked table for 15th Feb on line my for my 3rd visit, I bring macy my neice age 14 who is veggie the last 2 visits were spit on. I came Saturday with macy and my husband we ordered starters all fine then 2 pitzas again fine but I asked for the crab linguine which arrived with no crab and 5 prawns!! In asking was told had no crab and should have been told by the lady who served us, incidently both nice ladies however we said we went told and I would have not had it if that was the case!!! No resolution no would you like to order something else just an assumption that was how it is, unhappy as I was as both my husband and neice werehalf way through the pitzas just decided to eat it , I think that the whole we have no crab was poor so prawns it is was poor which would having travelled especially from Worsley would stop me from going again!! Shame it had become a favourite of ours sorry better customer service would have helped
