Lovely atmosphere and great food.
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreAs a first timer in this very interesting restaurant, i was not very sure on what to expect. I have been passing by this restaurant so many times yet was feeling intimidated going there on my own. So finally with a dear friend, we conquered Armenian Taverna. The greeting from the staff as soon as we descended into the entrance was already very welcoming. The decor was calm and inviting. Since it was our first time, we cannot decide on the whole myriad of choices. In the end we settled for the meat banquet for two. Boy did we get in over our heads. The food was amazing but definitely not for two ladies who lunch. Two brusque men maybe. The selection was very good and the taste was incredible. The tastes were similar to most middle eastern food but being in a different place makes all the difference. We will definitely be back.
Armenian Taverna and Restaurant – Manchester City CentreBest way to describe is "ordinary" - not a lot wrong, but on the whole a little bit disappointing, and certainly no memorable wow factor which would ensure a speedy revisit. Didn't really rate the veal (with asparagus); certainly edible (so complaining would have been entirely inappropriate) but the taste not quite right. Calamari to start a bit on the tough side. Pannacota for sweet though was really good. Overall (a la carte) somewhat overpriced; wish now I'd stuck to the set menu which my wife seems to enjoy rather more!
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentrePre theatre meal great food lovely service.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreAfter concert meal with Friends on Sunday. No problems reserving, and then changing time! We’ve been going to Georgio’s for many years and the staff are always friendly and attentive. The garlic bread (pizza style) is amazing - I could eat that on its own! The menu is unfussy, unpretentious Italian food. Good sized portions - so go easy on the garlic bread! I had fusilli con salmone e piseli and there were large chunks of smoked salmon in a creamy sauce. I couldn’t finish it all - back to that garlic bread. Recommended as the restaurant has a real buzz at busy times.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreWow, what a great meal. I took my partner and her mum, who have never tried Armenian food and they loved it. Amazing food, and service. We will be back, thank you.
Armenian Taverna and Restaurant – Manchester City CentreLovely food, first class service. Definitely visit this place again.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreAnother fantastic pre theatre meal yesterday at Giorgio’s. The food, staff and atmosphere were fantastic as usual. The pre theatre menu is great with lots of choice for everyone! Hope to see you all very soon.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreBooked a table for four online for Saturday January 4th. Although we arrived a little late due to traffic , we were shown straight to our table. Our orders were taken quickly and the drinks and starters arrived shortly afterwards. Service was outstanding and we were able to get to the theatre in good time for the 7:30 show.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentrePre booked for pre theatre lunch 2nd of December We were not on the system The gentleman in charge was not happy about this Plenty of tables available but I know the place is usually very busy So not a very good welcome Minestrone soup gorgeous spaghetti arabiati enjoyable The other 4 all enjoyed choices from the same menu The service was a little indifferent even though the place was very quiet The disabled toilet not available The bill was over charged by £20 which was corrected ..not explained We left feeling that we hadn't been Very important and althoug food was good The automatic tip was going too far Questionable if we will return with so many good Italian restaurants at hand
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreDelicious food and good service. Nice selection of typical food.

Giorgios – Manchester City CentreA fabulous meal. All 4 of us very impressed with the pre Theatre 2 course set meal for £16.95 each, so much so that we added drinks, desserts and coffees too!! The staff were tremendous. Excellence all round. We'll be back soon.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreWent for dinner here yesterday evening. I had a pasta dish and my partner had steak. Lovely food, polite staff with a great service. Will return again!
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreExcellent venue for a pre-concert meal! Menu looked limited (2 courses before 6.45pm on concert night) but was actually very extensive. The food was super (best lasagne of the year in my case) and the fish portions were generous. The leek and potato soup was most unusual (made with lentils also?), being very tasty and not in any way boring. Service was good considering how busy they were. It was a full house but was not particularly noisy.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreExtremely friendly staff.Good value, good service and very large pizzas.
